Very disappointed – I purchased a plush mattress at Harvey Norman and I am so disappointed as it is the hardest mattress I have ever had, want to get rid of it after a week of sleep deprivation.
HOT , HOT , HOT – I agree with all the other reviews. Pity I didn't read them before purchasing. It is extremely hot to sleep on in summer (live in Sydney) and its not the most comfortable bed I've had. I often sleep on my 20 year old Sealy Posterpedic mattress in the spare room as I find I get a much better quality of sleep despite its age. I'll be buying Sealy next time -- which may be sooner than I had hoped for!! Paid $1500 and very disappointed.
horrible – feels like sleeping on concrete and i specifically brought a soft one it was fine for first two months now i can't even ue it i have a bad back already but my partner didn't now because of the bed he does this product is a waste of money it cost me over 3 and a half grand WHAT A RIP OFF a 50 dollar bed from warehouse is better off i could i would… Read more
return it in a heart beat
PLUS it weighs a tone its so heavy i can't even move it myself and I'm not weak
P.S i have the Darlington Plush version
expesive bad support concrete feeling it caused huge doctors bills
Worst bed ever – Sold to us as an ideal bed for people like me with bad backs.... WRONG.. Made my back so bad after the first 3 months I could no longer sleep on it. My husbands back is now bad. Feels like your sleeping in a hammock, and roll together. Can't believe manufacturers can get away with this. Even to look at you can see the middle section slumping in. absolutley nothing. Feel so ripped off. everything, and cost a fortune
Bad – Lady in Harvey Norman was very keen to sell us this mattress (I wander how much in provision she got!)She said that you are suppose to be cradled to have a good support and we bought it! We have if for a few months now, and my husband is constantly complaining. I do not have as much problems with my spine as I use to. Mattress is too soft for… Read more
medium support. There are no side support bars, so if you go too much to the side, there is a good chance to roll off the bed.
Bed does feel hot to sleep on (so called "cooling mattress protector" does not help).
Which Harvey Norman ? The story sounds sounds so familiar
Terrible – Poor quality control, high price. Don't bother, there are better manufacturers out there selling better products at better prices. On my list of companies to avoid. NONE, product returned, order canceled. The saga continues, the 3rd mattress was delivered today (this was the one that was checked at all stages of manufacturing to ensure that it… Read more
would be perfect!!), and sure enough, it had dirty marks on the pillow top!. Received a call from AH Beard (manufacturer) who said "Sorry, it had been checked, and this has never happened before!!". Order canceled with Forty Winks, will never by an AH Beard product again. If you do, I suggest you check it very carefully.
No there isn't
Not for bad backs – Instructions said to turn it every week - we did & found each side was different to sleep on. Weird. Both sides sagged & the top rucked up. Easy to fall out of bed with sagging along side walls. AHBeard took it back, said it was faulty, repaired it? sent it back after about 2 months & it was exactly the same. We can't be without it for so… Read more
long again, so put up with it.
Now, we pack rolled up cushions & towels along the sides between mattress & base & now get a good night's sleep - just like we did with our old mattress.
It's hot, like everyone else says. We sleep with a fan on all night. It sags under each of us (queen). Has no support - BUT
when I was recovering from an op on my leg where a large patch of melanoma was removed, I had to lay in 1 position with the leg on 2 pillows for 4 months. The mattress was divine. There were no pressure point problems & I recovered extremely well - imagine laying in 1 position for all that time all night & much of the day! So we put up with the side packing for the soft comfort on old bones.
The softness doesn't help bad knees, bending sideways all night. Same for hips. Need supporting pillows - but that isn't the fault of the mattress really.
Would recommend for sleepers who don't turn over much, but not for restless sleepers with chiropractic problems or sore hips & knees.
Don't buy this bed unless you carefully assess your needs. Very soft good for invalids Sagging on sides; uneven one side to the other; hot

Terrible – If you buy this bed, you will cook at night! Stay away from products by the company - don't buy from them!!! We bought a King Koil Edmonton Ultra Plush about 3 weeks ago. What a mistake! This is a $5000 bed that we are ready to ditch. It is soooo HOT! AH Beard refuses to do anything about it, except tell us to buy a cooling mattress… Read more
protector. So we have outlaid more money and it does nothing to cool the bed down. It is the middle of winter in Canberra, negative overnight temperatures, and we are sleeping with the doona off and boiling. It is evident we are not alone with this problem, but the company refuses to accept any liability. There is obviously a significant problem with their design, but whilst people are buying and they are making profits, they will do nothing to help consumers. We are exhausted and frustrated.
We too find the mattress very Hot! lord knows what it will be like in summer.Got a bad back and this has made it worse.
Terrible – I think that only way this could be endorsed by anyone in the ortho, chiropractic field is because it ensure they get people with more bad back. We have gone back to the good old fashioned, nothing wrong with, Sealy Posterpedic Spring Mattress - wish us luck with this one. Extremely hot to sleep on - especially for men as they tend to be hot… Read more
sleepers - but my husband would wake up dripping with sweat.
I don't understand how they think this mattress offers CORE support, I agree with the first review on all counts. I have a weak pelvis and it has only become worse on this mattress. You actually sink into the pillowtop - so to roll over or even get out of the bed is a major painful effort.
Sealy matts have dropped in quality since they got taken over
The worst bed ever – This bed would have to be the worst bed i have ever owned, i had a sealy for 7 years that cost $700 and its 100 times better than this bed. It sags when two people sleep close together, it sooooo HOT its almost unbearable and we live in queensland. There is a massive lump in the middle of the bed, and the pillow top is to soft. We paid $2700… Read more
for this bed and im ready to replace it after 2 and a half years.
Not good enough A.H Beard
Terrible product
Expensive, to HOT, Sags, Lumpy.
you bought a soft mattress your fault
Bad – Seems to be a good mattress for my husband as he has no problems with relaxing, but as a "rush around, contant movement "type person who finds it hard to relax this is a terrible mattress for me.I was told by the sales person at Harvey Norman I need to get used to it over a month or two. After one month I am tired of the back and neck pain and we… Read more
have put the old cheapy back on the bed. No partner movement. Husband likes medium pillowtop. Looks nice. No chemical smell. The medium pillowtop is too soft. It reminds me of a cheap hotels worn out mattress.I have been told by the osteo that my core muscles are quite tight and when I sleep they are being pulled by the softness of the bed. I have persevered for a month but that is enough, my body is not getting any more used to it and it will have to go.My husband and I are also having persperation issues as we seem to be getting overheated on it and its not summer yet.
