comfortable. We both get a good night's sleep and either of us can get out of the bed in the middle of the night without disturbing the other.

The bed is very heavy and rotating it is quite a chore.

Update: Not long after writing this review we were giving the mattress the normal rotation and took off the mattress protector off to be amazed that the top layer of the mattress had separated from the bottom half over a 1.5 meter length. No rips or tear, the stitching had all given way. We immediately reported it to Harvey Norman who contacted the manufacturers. We went into Harvey Norman at 9:30am and the replacement bed was approved for replacement at 3:00pm on the same day. A few days later we were contacted by AH Beard (the manufacturer) and were advised that this bed was no longer in production, and that it would be replaced free of charge with the next model up. A few weeks later the new bed arrived, and it is fantastic. The previous bed was really comfortable, the new one is even better.

I like it when a manufacturer acknowledges they have a problem and go out of their way to fix it.

Useless mattress, like sleeping on a pyramid! – Bought the King Koil Opulent Plush from Bedstop four years ago and after the first three or four months of having it the mattress had gone well out of shape. specialist out who just advised that we continued to do the spinning and lying in the middle and it will come good. The bed has now become unsuitable to get a good night's sleep in as you're uncomfortable and rolling out of it, therefore we will throw this mattress away and invest another $10,000 on a mattress that will be fit for purpose. We would not recommend anyone buying this mattress as it's never going to give you a good nights sleep after the first few months.

Best sleep ever – Previously we had for 21 years, A H Beard silent night mattress. It served us good. We wanted to stay with Aussie made beds. Got the Bellagio last night. Best sleep ever. No sores or aches and pains. It is very soft. But supportive. Like sleeping on a cloud I would imagine. Only draw back is if u get their base. With the legs attached, you need to climb into bed! No wonder this mattress was discontinued – This mattress generated heat. It is impossible to sleep on when the temperature is above 20c. I found it to be overpriced and majorly overrated. Really, really disappointed and broke Show details

Thumbs down Hervey Norman Tweed Heads for not being particularly helpful after purchase nor providing enough information at the time of purchase. Hint if you don't like dipping get the firm mattress and go to a retailer that knows A.H BEARD products and what is the best mattress type for you. We recommend this mattress.

mattress so our choice was between the King Koil and I believe the Sealy Exquisite. The Sealy felt slightly move "plush" but you could feel partner movement. We went with the King Koil as you couldn't feel any partner movement and it still felt like a cloud to sleep on.

Since we've had this mattress I've never slept better, often sleeping continuously throughout the night whereas previously it would be interrupted.

UPDATE: Originally there wasn't any sagging/humps for the first 4 years, we didnt rotate the mattress every month, but did so every 2-3 months. Unfortunately after 5 years (2023) it's developed the sag in both sides & hump in the middle and it's lost it plush feel. We are pretty much average weight & size.

It started out as a lovely plush mattress, but it is now not particularly comfortable. Would be great if there was some sort of refurbishment option for it.

Unfortunately, I would probably not recommend the King Koil anymore.

Save yourself literally thousands of $$$, do your homework on prices for a few months prior, wait for the sale times.

Beware of the hump – Have owned this bed for two years now and we are disappointed in the hump in the middle of the bed. When we first purchased it was great. No disturbance from partner turning over and was very comfortable however it now has two dips where we sleep and the hump in the middle. Would like to get a new mattress but hesitant with what to buy

Memory foam without memory? – We have had this mattress for only 3 years and now its obvious that we have a hump in the middle because no one lies there and a hollow (body print) on either side where we do sleep. The bed it still comfortable and not complaining about that but don't like the way it looks now - looks like its a hundred years old. The memory foam has obviously lost its memory. Anyone else notice this?

Never slept better – I purchased this mattress last week and have never slept better. It is like sleeping on a cloud. Perfectly supported, no pressure points, no back aches. My husband is considerably larger than I and we do not roll into each other and there is no disturbance when either moves in bed. Truly the best buy I have ever made in bedding. Highly recommend.
