unpacking as another review has suggested, but I think this is typical of most new products wrapped in plastic packaging and the smell disappeared quite quickly once it was unpackaged and allowed the opportunity to air out. I was a little unsure about the feel of the mattress initially as I prefer the feel of a plush mattress but after the first night I was convinced. My husband and I both agree that the mattress is the perfect balance between soft and firm, it provides fantastic support and is incredibly comfortable - I'm a stomach sleeper and my husband sleeps on his back and neither of us have any complaints. Partner disturbance is very minimal which is great for me being a light sleeper.

Another thing I have noticed is that there is no hump in the middle of the mattress which apparently is typical of a king size mattress. My old mattress developed lumps and bumps after a few weeks but the Kip Set isn't showing any signs of wear at all.

My decision to purchase the mattress came down to the 100 day trial, after wasting so much money on an uncomfortable mattress in the past I didn't want to risk doing it again. We've had our mattress for 4 months now and there is no way we are parting with it! We also purchased the pillows which are fantastic.

As someone who struggled with sleeping and had back pain for years from sleeping on a mattress that wasn't the right fit, I would definitely recommend giving the Kip Set mattress a go. I will be purchasing one for my daughter when she outgrows her cot.

It will feel unusual when coming from spring mattresses, so keep it a little longer so your body can adjust to it.

Quick delivery and super cheap. However terrible chemical smell after 2 weeks airing out and waited – Very cheap from their online discount. Delivered within 24 hours. HEAVEN ON EARTH – After purchasing KIP SET for our new home it sat in the garage in its box for three weeks while our renovations were finalised. November 5th 2017 Update: 2months on....

Our investment in the KIPSET has been the best yet...! I have had three other nights on different mattresses over the last two months & boy oh boy do you notice the difference!! I honestly feel that when we are next on holidays I will have to pack our mattress because where ever we go it will be inferior to our KIPSET

Very good Medium-Soft, shop quality mattress – Already tried 3 other popular brand mattresses in the box. Kip Set is the best mattress so far. Not really firm for a 'firm mattress' – Mattress too soft for something that's supposed to be 'firm'. Has a chemical smell to it too but that went away after a few days. history and knowledge & delivered a great product! The mattress is extremely comfortable. At first a little firm but over time you get used to it. I'm glad I didn't pay twice as much for a spring mattress. It's so easy to get carried away in what the companies say you need, when really all you need is this mattress.
