We have had this machine for 2 years now and the only problem/fault is that the conditioner dispenser is full of water after every wash and you have to pull the dispenser unit out so it can drain this drive my wife nuts but after the drama's we have had with other brands this isn't so big. If you would ask if I would buy again, the answer is yes.… Read more

As we had a Samsung only last 12 months and Fisher & Paykel we had for 3 months before we got this one.

I have had this machine for approx. 2 years. I bought it from Myer along with the dryer. While it washes well there is no off balance stop and the machine will start a rinse cycle again. I am constantly checking that this hasn't happened as once it had gone through two more rinses before I realized. I am on tank water, so this is a big issue. Show details

Follow-up  · Our tank water comes from a dam. It is treated for sediment and then used throughout the house. It is very soft and does not effect the washing. There is nothing I can do that fixes the laundry going off balance. It happens with sheets and towels, mainly on large loads. I load machine carefully but it will still randomly go off balance. Can't… Read more

Worst Washing Machine I Have Ever Owned – Trash. 1. The design of the washing machine is total trash. It is clear that whoever designed it did not have any knowledge in the physics or chemistry in washing machines. 2. The function of the impeller/tub during the wash is inherently flawed: The washing machine 'fills' like a non high-efficiency washing machine that would have an agitator… Read more

column, and washes like such, but attempts to wash like a high-efficiency washing machine. The result is, water fills from the bottom, not the top: - In this case, as there is no agitator column, and a higher level of water necessary, the clothing on the top does NOT get wet, and does NOT get pulled under into the water for about 3/4 of the wash time. By the time it finally is, (if at all), it has only touched the soapy water for a minute. - The action of the impeller is flawed: the drum does not spin against the impeller direction. So basically, the impeller is just moving the clothes side by side without any wash action.

This washing machine is actual trash. Have only had it for a short time and already is making horrid clicking/squeaking noises when it washes. Extremely loud. Does not clean clothes.

Everything is constantly covered in lint and dust.

Leaving a shirt out in a gentle breeze would get it cleaner than using this. No wonder it was discontinued.

I wish I never bought such rubbish – * Purchased brand new end of April 2023 * Warranty claim Oct2023 water pump dead won't drain. (1week to get to fix) * Warranty claim November 2023 water pump dead won't drain. 7 month old unit 2 faulty pumps. * Softner dispensary full of water doesn't work. * water rises from the bottom up and pushes clothes up to the top and takes about 10min… Read more

or more for the top clothing to actually get wet or go under water by this stage it's starting to drain when the pump WAS working. * washing clothes by hand in a bucket. * days wasted waiting on emails and people to show up. Never again will I get another. Hoping for a refund and they can keep it.

I expected a lot better from this brand – The machine is unable to complete a full cycle . The spin cycle is as I understand supposed to self centralise. Then when off balance the rinse spin cycle restarts again and again. Purchased through Bunnings website it was after calling kleenmaid 0293101207 10 attempts starting last week leaving messages that Bunnings got involved and i have now requested return and refund Show details

Never again! – Never again will I purchase ‘sight unseen’; thanks COVID. Never again will I purchase Kleenmaid. I separate all my washes; delicates, towels, bedding, work clothes, normal clothing. Sometimes the load is so tangled, it’s infuriating. Have had to change the detergents that I use because the powders that I’ve always used and dissolved in cold… Read more

water with my previous machines would not dissolve.

Dispensers constantly full of water so I’m unable to add softener etc at beginning of wash.

Cycle times on specific settings eg. Sheets, are ridiculously long.

Great for fitting in bulky bed linen, however I have to stand on tippy toes to reach for items at the bottom of the tub. Had I seen before I purchased, this alone would have saved me the absolute regret of having purchased this machine.

Great Automatic Wash Machine – I have used a twin tub washing machine for over 30 years and loved it, so buying an automatic washing machine was a big thing for me. I researched automatics for six months, so I knew I was getting the best one for my needs. I came across the Kleenmaid Heavy Duty 12kg and loved that it was an Australian Company and it would a good-looking… Read more

machine. It was out of stock, so from the time I placed and paid for the order to the time I received my machine was a little disappointing, but not the end of the world. The large size didn't bother me and after looking into it more, the water usage was not an issue either, once I realised you could adjust the number of rinse cycles. The water usage figure is used on a full 12kg load, highest level of water and "3" rinses, which is ridiculous. I'm on rainwater and I still bought it. Everything on this machine is adjustable, number of rinses, the water level can be changed, even after the load has started washing and you can 'spin only'. I never thought I would say an automatic washed just as good as a twin tub, but this one does. If you layer the clothes around the edge of the bowl like it tells you to in the instructions, you won't have any issues with tangling. I'm quite short which was a concern when you can only buy this online (not in store) but I can reach everything in the bottom of the bowl. With regards to another review about water being in the drawer of the softener tray, I don't have an issue with that. I just tip the drawer up on an angle and empty some of the water out before I start. It only runs in on the clothes below if you pull the draw out too far. Anyway, I would definitely buy another, absolutely love it and it has a 5yr warranty which is a bonus. From what I read in my research, Kleenmaids are hard to kill so hoping to have it a long time!

Brand New Faulty Machine – I contacted the Kleenmaid Service Dept today to ask them why the softener compartment in my brand new machine was randomly full of water at the end of a wash cycle. That water then drips onto the clothes in the machine if I don't remove them immediately. I was initially told by the guy that answered the phone that this was normal. After I argued… Read more

that I didn't think that would be the case, he said I should run the spin cycle again & call him back as he had never heard of this issue before, however, he would go through the instruction manual. Someone taking calls in a service dept who needed to refer to an instruction manual didn't fill me with the greatest confidence. However, I followed his instructions. Well, the spin cycle made absolutely no difference as the softener compartment was still full of water. When I called back I was instructed to leave my details & they would return my call. Unsurprisingly, I received no call back. I say "unsurprisingly" because I've since read that this is typical of their service dept. I purchased a Kleenmaid product because they are Australian owned & I wanted to support an Australian company. Sadly, I don't think I will be taking that into consideration next time.
