definitely not a professional at air frying food, and personally I still prefer deep-fried potato chips over any I’ve been able to make from fresh potatoes at home, but I do love the convenience and health benefits of being able to make them myself. Mostly we use this device in place of our standard oven - cooking home-made sausage rolls, roasted vegetables, biscuits, scones, cakes. And of course sometimes using the rotating basket for hot chips.

For most things we find that this air fryer takes half the time to cook something compared to instructions given in recipes. So generally if something says to bake for 25 minutes I will set the timer for 10 minutes - most of the time it’s just about done at that point. So not only is the food cooked faster, but there’s no time or electricity spent waiting around for the oven to heat up either.

Sure, if I’m baking cakes and scones to take to a party I might use the full-size oven for the extra cooking space and maybe a slightly better result.. but for every day use, and when cooking for family and friends, we use this air fryer oven for everything

I’m overall very pleased with this little product and have recommended it to many others.

I received an AO2502 oven as a Christmas present. Unfortunately, it flickered from the time of the first use; now it won't stay on the program at all. Have only purchased this oven/air fryer yesterday. Yes. As others have stated ,on preset times it cooks about 5 to 7 minutes too long, resulting in slightly over cooked food. So the upshot is take the time of the presets and take 5 to 7 minutes off manually. Super efficient, hense the over cook. At $132.00 at K Mart, its as chip as chips. LOVE THIS APPLIANCE – Changed from the draw air fryer to this 25L Kmart Air Fryer and Oven. home made chips all that well. As for the rest of the cooking functions I am delighted with this purchase. Love cooking lamb loin chops, frozen chips, roast lamb and vegetables etc. All the dishes I have cooked have been perfect. I find I am using this appliance daily and I no longer use my oven. Given the small price one pays for this appliance and the warranty it offers 12 months, where can you go wrong. If there is a problem just take it back.

Awful – Suddenly started tripping the circuit breakers, probably because fat/ oil has leaked into the wires due to shoddy product. Leaks fat through the bottom of the unit and down the bottom of the door and legs. Impossible to keep clean, especially the roof where the element is. Terrible product. Needs seals all the way around the door, not just the top. Baking tray absolutely useless, started peeling as soon as it was used. Show details

cant clean properly – Works well, cooking chart useless. I have been using this instead of deep fryer and oven, very happy with the outcome of cooking. instructions say to wipe over to clean, cant clean roof inside as that is where the element is and its hard to access, food spillages seem to get between glass so have to remove to clean continuously. never seems to clean and looks like parts of the paint/ metal (whatever the inside is made of) has been wiping off. The inside just doesnt clean properly no mater what I do. Chip basket doesnt clean properly and is always a browny colour compaired to the silver when new. Any suggestion on cleaning the machine properly. cheers

Tray peeled like a orange – Tray peeled like an orange and now rusted. Now I use a Dutch oven in the oven to eliminate fat spray and help to keep less grease build up. Show 2 replies

Does everything my oven could – The element in my oven went so I was using my sons Sunbeam air fryer oven instead. He moved out just before Christmas (and took the air fryer with him) so my daughter gave me this one as a Christmas present. I have to say it leaves the Sunbeam one for dead. have to shuffle shelves around to make sure everything is cooking evenly. The only drawback for me is that you have to make sure to switch it off at the mains as the power does not turn off itself.

Be careful washing the mesh basket! – I sliced my finger badly on the metal join inside the basket while washing it. I had no idea it is razor sharp. It’s a very nasty design flaw. Show details

A potentially good product but with a major flaw – Only had mine for just over a week and although it's probably too early to review it sofar I'm very impressed. I've cooked chips, chicken pieces, and pork strips in it and everything has turned out well. would have been a little overcooked/burned. But that's just my personal preference. The only issue I have is it seems very noisy when using the rotisserie basket, I don't overload it by the way.

EDIT.... Because of a gap due to a lack of a decent seal around the door, especially on the right-hand side, causing hot air to continuously escape when using this air fryer, I returned it to the store and received a refund.

Seals are rubbish – Got this As a present in March, but the rubber door seal keeps popping out and even when I put it in, it is flush and so will not start or starts and stops after 30secs. Awesome when it actually works though Show details

Problem with fumes – I have just purchased The Kmart Anko 25Litre Air fryer. what I have found is it leaks fumes from around the door on the right hand side which smokes up the whole kitchen. there is such an abundance of fumes it is like having a BBQ inside my home. There is no seal on the oven door and the door does not sit right allowing fumes to escape. I have researched the oven online and found this is a problem to many people. The oven blows fuses in house or caravan – Shuts power off if used in caravan or in house. Tried it at a friend's house and same story. Works a treat on air fryer just not on oven. Very dangerous when I have to go to fuse box and reset trip switch all the time. Show details

Started out good but not good long term – Was great to start with for the first few months but it's not the easiest to clean and despite cleaning it remains dirty (only ever hand washed). juice/oil left. Have always used the drip tray but it still leaked. The glass gets dirty easily too...between... so is not easy to clean either. We've used it to cook chips, roasts, fish, dim sims and a variety of other savoury foods. Would be a good unit if the build quality was better. Now need to find a better air fryer to replace it but won't be going to Kmart for one after this.

Kmart Anko 25l Air fryer and oven – Marg wrote about steam while the oven is working, I just brought one in NZ and the same thing just happened. It's the seal on the oven. My right side isn't closing properly so this would affect the heat. I have propped a wooden board to keep it close while my chicken cooks. If I can't fix it I will return for another if the chicken tastes good.

Lasted about 4 months! – Was initially happy with this Air Fryer, cooked everything quite well. Went to use it one evening and......... nothing. No power, no lights - dead. Tried the power point with another appliance and all good. I took it back to Kmart with my Paypal receipt and got a full refund. I do like it but concerned about the fan – I am happy with the airfryer oven but i can't hear the fan when set on airfryer. Should i hear a fan sound? Best oven - ever – For me this is a life changer. It cooks so quickly. I cook all manner of things, chips, fish, biscuits, corn chips, frozen veg - all super speedy. Love the timer. It looks pretty good too. I cleaned the oven glass yesterday, one screw driver and you can have the inside glass off in a jiffy.
