I was happy with my little green Anko rice cooker until it stopped working after 1 month. Can't find the receipt. Another item to landfill. Won't be replacing it with another of the same. Show details

This little gadget is an A+ product for space and ease of use. I hate cooking rice and this has sorted that problem for me. It looks like a kids toy but that doesn’t reflect its operation. Takes no time at all to cook the rice with a simple single push down button to turn out on. Comes with a measuring cup, a spatula and measurements are all… Read more · 1
printed on the non stick bowl. Hoping it lasts because I love it. Might get another one to put away. You absolutely can’t go wrong for $15!
So far, so good as far as my own use is concerned (2 uses in a couple of weeks). But the instructions! OK for me because I've cooked rice thousands of times using several methods, including rapid boil. Just glad not to be young and away from home for the first time. Nowhere in the instructions is the user told to put on the lid. The lid is shown… Read more
in a photo and a diagram but that's it. Obviously a rice cooker uses the absorption method and depends on a tightly closed lid for steaming. This is not explained but is simply assumed by the writers of the very basic instructions. Extremely unhelpful for beginner cooks.
Thanks so much for your feedback. We’re glad to hear the… Read more (+2 replies)
Used the rice cooker as per the instructions and the rice came out ok, but shortly after the lid, which was sitting on a stone bench top, shattered. Stay away, clearly cheap crap. Show details

Poor quality, breaks after only a few uses – This is the perfect size and so easy to use - but I won't recommend! After the first one I bought stopped working suddenly after only about a month, I thought I must have just gotten a dud one. However, after purchasing a second one, which died even more quickly, I won't buy again. Show details
Useful but poor manufacturing – Was a happy purchase & useful appliance until it just stopped working after a month. After troubleshooting on Google I can only assume the heating fuse wore out super quickly. Not worth fixing & not sure I can justify buying a new one Show details

Perfect size, but short life – The Anko mini rice cooker is the perfect size for a single person, with leftovers for the next meal, or 2 people for one meal. It's been the only rice cooker I've been successful at using. Unfortunately, it was a short-lived victory, as it unexpectedly stopped working today, after only a few months. I can't justify buying another, for fear it will meet the same, quick demise. Show details

Happy but then very sad – Wonderful ideal size until it broke after once daily use for 3 weeks. Went back to Kmart St Lukes with screen shot of receipt. Only able to get an exchange voucher even though not in stock at this branch!(manager Edwin) very disappointing as now have to drive to another branch. Show details
Loved it until it broke – Loved it until it broke within a month. Have bought another one to see if it was just bad luck - update- new one is working fine- new one broke too Show details

Bought one out of curiosity and am pleasantly surprised... so far – Although we enjoy eating rice my partner and I no longer eat large amounts of it, hence our rice cooker has been pushed to the back of the cupboard. When we saw the Anko mini rice cooker at Kmart we thought it might be perfect for cooking small quantities. At $15 we bought one out of curiosity and must say we're pleasantly surprised. Followed the… Read more · 3
instructions, but also used the old cook's rule of measuring the water level to the first joint on my pointer finger. Covered the lid and steam vent with a light tea towel and left it until the light turned orange "warm". The result? Beautifully fluffy steamed Basmati rice. So far so good. Watch this space.
After not quite two years the "On" button would no longer stay down no matter what I tried. Time for the bin. Fortunately I had a second one still in its box so that's now being used. I'm not so disappointed as I tend to replace my rice cookers after a while, mainly due to the non-stick coatings wearing away (even when you take great care).
Unsatisfactory and unsafe product – My 14 year old granddaughter purchased the mini rice cooker and used it twice. It burnt the bottom of the rice both times. I then used it and, again it burnt the bottom of the rice and I found steam and water vapour escaped out of the lid as it cooking so it was a safety issue as well. We both followed the instructions. My granddaughter didn't keep the receipt. I want to return the rice cooker as it's faulty and a safety hazard. What can I do? Show details

Handy for small serves – A handy little rice cooker. It cooks well. I have a Baccarat 10cup which is too big to use for a 1-2person serve. This is a handy little device. Quality wise it seems pretty standard for the lower priced rice cookers. Show 2 replies
