Kmart Anko 2 Person Dome Tent

Bought tent, got landfill – Bought this for a few nights backyard camping during lockdown with 11yo son. Day one, before we even got in, one of the front poles snapped. Next day the tent was full of water after light rain. Day three inner mesh coming away from seam. Instead of buying your next ANKO product, simply print out a picture of it. That will be better quality than the actual product. Kmart advertise themselves as a low-cost alternative. This is simply not true, as low-cost means you probably won't have this product for life, not that this WILL break within days. Never buying from them again.
Purchased in at Kmart Retail Stores for $35.
Cheap, with a fundamental flaw – Have been using this tent in my friend's garden for the past few weeks after lockdown had been lifted. It really is just a "toy", with minimum protection from sun, rain, heat and cold. The height is barely enough for an adult (I am 175cm) to sit upright on the floor directly underneath the apex of the tent properly, without any mattress. The so-called vents won't allow much cross ventilation as the side one comes with a flap that will suck itself inwards and prevent air from entering the tent space as a result. The nettings look great in photos but in reality, I was attacked by insects up to 2 centimetres in length, and I have no idea how they have managed to materialise in the tent. But the most frustrating feature of this tent is the way the weather shielding sleeve adjacent to the zip was being placed. It is not too long and not too short, just enough for it to be caught in the zip as the zip is operated. I have lost count the number of times this has happened. The last time it did, I couldn't get to remove it with moderate force, hence the zip was dislodged as a consequence. No point getting a replacement from Kmart as I will end up having to contend with another tent with the same fundamental flaw. Binning it is the best thing I have done to the tent. Hopefully this review will help people make a better decision prior to purchasing it.

Hi Ed, we're so sorry to hear this! This is definitely not what we would expect and we appreciate you letting us know so we can share this feedback with our merchandise team. We'd recommend taking the broken tent back to your nearest store with proof of purchase, and the in-store team will be able to assist with any returns or exchanges.
