Can't remove basket – Hi, Just received this today by courier. I cannot release the basket in spite of pressing the red button. Is there a knack to this. Have done chicken but cannot clean properly. Can I unscrew to clean under the basket? Show details

Spend the money on a better unit – Even though the price was good the quality was not. Lasted a month before we had to get rid of it. Not crunchy and the element was twitchy. Best to invest in a more premium bnrad Show details

Can’t fault it – Bought ours at the start of lock down - from memory - all those years ago and it hasn’t missed a beat. Money very well spent. We don’t use oil in it at all. tray and let it soak with boiling water for about 10-20 mins give it a swish then rinse really well with hot water and pop it back on high for 5 mins to dry it. You can also pop it in the dishwasher as well. Both the drawer and the basket. Wipe over with a cloth on the outside and I occasionally wipe the inside when cold with a wet microfibre cloth. I’m buying another to have on hand for when it eventually dies. With Christmas coming up and the amount of use it gets…we may kill the poor thing! It’s a basic Unit for sure but that means it’s really easy to use. And the price point now is cheaper than when I bought ours. We had a Phillips one many years ago and it was nowhere near as decent. For a KMart machine I feel like it’s absolutely done really well.

gets used multiple times a day. Everything from toasted cheese sandwiches, to reheating foods that would go horrible in a microwave, to a whole chook or pork belly. This machine is so versatile, easy to use & clean, and cooks things perfectly! It does a better job than an oven, in a fraction of the time. I can’t rate the Kmart 5.3L Air Fryer highly enough, we are even tempted to buy a second, larger one!

I have read some reviews where people complain about getting the difficulty in getting the basket back in when it’s hot. You just have to hold it a little higher and it slides in easily. It gets stuck if you are just fractionally too low, always make sure you come in as high as it can go.

If you buy this machine, I’m pretty sure you’ll love it. We do!

Broken handle on basket – We have an Anko AF701 air fryer and we love it, use it all the time. Unfortunately the basket was dropped and the handle broke off. Can we buy the basket by itself? Show details ·  2

Finding the Accessories – Hi I got this product 4 year back. Its working in good condition. But now the based and the mesh is loosing its non-stick finish and I can see the mettle (Iron). Not worth it – It was good in the beginning, within 12 months the handle broken apart, the screws went loose during cooking. The smell of the machine, smells burning plastic. Show details

Just stopped working – I was not even halfway cooking battered fish and it just stopped working. I thought the power went out. Took it back to Kmart and was told I need a receipt even though Kmart is the only place that sells these and even after I told them what the problem was, which is obviously a manufacturers fault. Apparently, I have to throw this into landfill and purchase another one. Show details

massive waste of electricity. will not buy another kmart airfryer – don't touch this product. if you want your electricity bill to stay as low as possible we have checked mine with the power pal and it uses 3KW per hour on 200 degrees. Ron Show details

Great airfyer if you look after it well – Daughter wanted an airfryer, I didn't know anything about them and we got this one to try out in case we didn't like it. Well....2 years later we still love it and it's going strong with no issues at all. No doubt there are better/bigger/fancier ones with more options available however for the 2 of us this one is perfect and we've never looked back. Air Fryer Anko AF701 – So far so good , very impressed. I am struggling however to find the right size of silicone liners for this model. A budget air fryer with a quality result – This air fryer was my first air fryer purchase and it has not disappointed. It's so easy to use that our children (Aged 10,12 & 14) were able to operate and understand how to use it without explanation. Disappointing start – I just bought this, first air fryer I have ever owned or used. Unfortunately the timer doesn't function properly. Finishes on two minutes and stays there. Tried resetting it but that didn't work. Now have the hassle of returning it. Show details

Great – We purchased this air fryer 3 years ago and have used it constantly. For the price it's been awesome and its time to get another as its handles going and looks ratty.. Takes a while to get used to timings, but we've loved it.

2nd Unit. Wont buy again – This is my 2nd unit. They seem to last about 12mths of regular use. The upper inside where the fan is gets very dirty and its impossible to clean properly without damaging the element and fan. The two trays have separated while shaking the food container. Overall not worth the price for 12mths use..

Avoid! Very poor quality – First one we picked up from Kmart in Belmont Geelong. The handle wouldn’t separate and we were not able to take inner fryer container out no matter what we did. Exactly what we wanted – We bought this as a Christmas present for our teenager, to be more independent. The air fryer is simple to use, just two controls, and easy to clean. The basket and drawer are light weight, much easier to use than heavy pots and pans. Show details
