Kmart Anko Cellulose Squeeze Mop

Don't waste your money. When you finish cleaning the floor, the sponge sets rock hard in a curve because the mop does not retract the sponge flat. The sponge is not real sponge. It is cellulose which is plant-based. It is like sponge, but it hardens and falls to pieces into bits when left in the cupboard for a month after you use it. Years ago you could buy generic refills either two or four post that was real old-fashioned sponge. Today the "sponge" mops are all plastic with two or four posts specific to the brand. There are no generic refills made anymore. Refills for a brand will not fit another brand. Kmart and Target sell the Anko mop, but they do not sell refills because Anko does not make refills for this mop. It is use, then throw away the complete mop. The velcro attaching system is pointless.
For only $10, I don't want my money back. Selling such a rubbish product does nothing for Kmart's reputation. The "sponge" base begins to fall apart within two weeks of its first use. It disintegrates into small pieces. I was a manager of a mixed business before I retired. I would not stock a mop without ensuring that refills are available on-shelf to customers. By searching online, I have discovered that Anko does not make refills for this product. Why does Anko design a product with a velcro attaching system for affixing new refills (you need them to replace the poor quality pad) when you cannot get refills?
