Pillow case of bread dough – I purchased this pillow about a year ago or more and was great. Was a bit firm for a few weeks but over time softened up. Was good at holding it's shape for quite a long time, but after 6 or more months the memory foam stopped recovering as fast and a few weeks later it starts becoming deformed and too soft. Fast forward to a few weeks back… Read more
when buying a new one and sadly it is not the same pillow I purchased a year ago. It's shockingly bad and not the same as it was, so I assume they have changed it in some way. Only after a week or two, this rubbish pillow was like sleeping on a pillow case of uncooked bread dough, nothing like the same pillow a purchased a while back. Maybe the original was lasting too long, good value for money doesn't exist anymore. Kmart's getting more and more like a $2 shop everyday.
Worst pillow I ever owned – I have always bought my pillows from kmart, and the memory foam ones I bought a year ago were the best. But they have changed them and the ones I bought yesterday the worst pillows i have ever used. It is not a memory foam pillow, it is filled with pieces of memory foam, like those foam pieces in mail packages. It is like lying on a lump of hard… Read more
clay, that just stays in the hard lump. If you turn it over it just forms another hard lump that stays like that. It's given me a headache. I hate it so much I'm going to sleep on a towel and give it to my dog!

Too high and hard causing pain – This pillow is so high and firm that it pushes your head into an unnatural position. Just one night with this pillow caused severe neck and back pain and I will never sleep with it again. What a waste. Show details

Some of the best sleep in my life – I am a chronic insomniac. I have always been jealous of my partner who can just about fall asleep anywhere which is something I can only dream about happening unless I have been awake for more than 36 hours. I have always stuck to having 2 pillows since I started buying my own bedding (Side sleeper gusseted pillows from Target) because I require… Read more
some really firm support for my neck and they were affordable at $11 for 2 on special. Sometimes it really isn't enough, and I spend a good hour and half shifting into a comfortable position. The memory foam or latex pillows always scares me off with their price. I have tried the Bianca Memory Foam Contour Pillow at my parent's house, which was close to $100 a pop, and found it too hard and the concave edges digging into my neck quite uncomfortable.
In comes the Anko memory foam pillow.
The Anko memory foam pillow isn't made with an entire piece of memory foam, but with the shredded pieces which keeps the properties of the foam moulding to the contours of your head and neck without sacrificing on the overall softness of the pillow. It is still slightly firm to the touch, but once you put your head on it you can feel the difference between it and pillows made from entire piece of memory foam. The nice support it provides means I can get away with having only 1 pillow. The extra old pillow is now only used to prop myself up for reading in bed.
It has given me some of the best sleep since I bought them, sometimes falling asleep almost immediately regardless of the position I happened to adopt.
While the core of the pillow is not washable, the zipped bamboo cotton blend covers is cool to the touch and is removable for cleaning. Good news for people who are worried about skin problems.
Remember to air out the pillow core before use, if the scent from the foam bothers you!
Pros:
- great support for the head and neck without being too hard - really affordable, especially when you only really need 1 - removable cover for easy cleaning
Cons:
Can't really think of any?
In Conclusion/tl;dr:
These are some quite affordable pillows with firm side sleeper support with adequate firmness. Which I highly recommend!
