Heart readings, step count inaccurate – Would not recommend if you want reasonably accurate readings for HR, Steps and BP. But it’s only $40. Pros: • Looks good, fits well. • Battery lasts a long time • Connects OK to iPhone X IOS 16.7.8 • Does do the functions I’ve tried that are advertised, but some not accurately • $40 is super cheap Cons: • Size in advert incorrect. Actual size is (strap lug to strap lug) 50mm (L) x 37mm (W) x 5mm (D) • Wake screen wrist flip: slow to wake screen and sometimes never wakes screen and you have to press the side button. • Steps: consistently over counts compared to Apple Health on phone in pocket. Watch shows 10k Apple health shows 8k steps • HR: Often inaccurate. When relaxing on couch, watch is close to correct. During workout on recumbent bike in gym, in steady workout, watch shows HR sometimes at 75bpm when actual HR is 112bpm. Sometimes watch shows around 106bpm. During intense cycling watch shows HR 115bpm or 75bpm when actual HR is 120bpm. Oddly the summary max HR shows 122 after the workout, which is probably close to correct. But when you flip your wrist the HR reading is never correct. • BP: if you only want an approx reading eg. High or low, then it will probably work. It shows at least 5 points higher on systolic than on a specialised BP monitor • NOTE: I have quite hairy arms and thought that might be effecting the readings. So I shaved the patch under the watch. Readings stayed inaccurate. Watch strap is firmly tight on my wrist not loose. Have tried updating watch firmware - on latest ver.
