Bought as a stop-gap but happy we got it – Our central heating packed, just as school exams were starting. So, we found this heater at KMart. Very cheap, works a treat heating a 3m x 3m bedroom on lowest setting in about 30mins, faster on the two higher settings. The fan is quiet, but did not use much. Works as well as a friend's $300 one! Has all the features I wanted - selectable power, fan, timer, safety cut outs. Show details ·  1

Has become unsafe to use – Was great but keeps tripping the safety adaptor I had it plugged into when it turns back on using the thermostat setting. Gets to desired temperature, turns of, when the temperature drops and it turns back on it trips the safety switch. Unsafe to use now unfortunately. Lasted around 7 months. Show details

Good heater and effective fan – I purchased this Anko $29 recently from Kmart. It was effective at heating up my living room and the integrated fan worked well. The only downside was the noise the fan created. It wasn't overly loud, but would often produce a rattling sound which was loud enough to wake me up, or interrupt a movie. I put it down to the build quality being low.… Read more

If the fan was silent this would be a great little heater for a good price.

If you're not fussed on background noise, this heater will be fine for you.

I actually swapped this for the more expensive $59 Anko version as it said noiseless operation. Whilst it was much quieter, it was also far less effective as a heater. I'd stick to this $29 over the $59 one.

Great heater – I purchased one of these heaters last year to take the chill of my bedroom. This year I purchased another for the living area. Luv it but I find it can be a little pricey to run. Show details

Handy heater for smaller areas – This heater is cheap and easy to use. The DL01D model features three possible heat settings; 750W, 1250W or 2000W, depending on the switch pressed or combination thereof. It has a small fan which helps circulate warmed air, the fan can be switched on / off independently to the heat switches. This model also incorporates a timer. Inside it uses an… Read more

anti-tilt switch and overheat protection switch to protect users and the heater. The heating elements are located in the base of the heater, air is drawn in and rises as a 'convection current' out the top grill - hence the warning 'Do Not Cover'. The fan is relatively quiet but not very powerful. The thermostat is the basic bi-metal strip type and failed in my heater after a few weeks. Replaced under warranty. Good for bedrooms or small office / study.

convection heater with timer – I bought a few of these to instantly warm areas in my home. They heat up nicely, can adjust temperature & I find presetting the timer works a treat having instant warmth on chilly mornings. Excellent!! Show details

Great little heater – It makes a small room warm and takes the edge of the chill. I'm happy with this heater, for $29 it's a great little heater. Also has a timer which is great for early work morning starts. It has 3 options, 740w, 1250w or 2000w which is great. The only thing it could be a bit taller. Show details

Value for Money – Effective for small or medium sized rooms. Extended usage is not a problem. Temperature control works well. Definitely Recommended. It's a value for money product, couldn't find a cheaper and better option than this one. Show details

Cheap and …. so far so good! – I have a pretty large open plan area in a timber framed house, off the ground that has no insulation adjacent saltbush scrub - in otherwords, on the edge of desert like conditions so it gets <expletive> cold in winter with the house dropping down to literally near 0C. While the heater won't turn it into a cozy warm area, what it will do is take… Read more

the edge off the freezing temperatures, really really well. And for the most part I only need it on the 1250W setting with fan. For the price and what it does to getting that chill off could not be happier. It has lasted all winter without any issues. Some components are clearly very cheaply made but I have managed to score a fairly decent example so timer and switches etc have not caused any concerns. I will shift this unit 5 mins before I go to bed in an ice box of a bedroom and when I walk in you can feel the chill lifted. They do cost a bit to run looking at 50+ cents an hour on 1250W setting (SA power tariffs) and the 750W setting is probably a little low to be effective. Overall definitely recommend.

Love the timer feature – I've searched whole market and can't find any other Convection Heater with Timer better than this. Normally you need to pay at least $50 more just for timer feature. I set it up for automatic heat up at night and in the morning, so I can walk home or wake up in warm room. Compare with the $150 Delonghi heater I purchased for living room, this one… Read more

is smaller and quieter, good for bedroom but not for living room. Unsure why both heater are over 2000kw, but Delonghi heater can cover 60sqm but Kmart one can only cover 20sqm.

two timer failures – Decent inexpensive heater when it works. However, we have had two of these DL01D heaters. The first had a faulty timer from the beginning - it was so stiff to move that my wife could not manage it and I found it very hard. Replaced with a second example in late May. Worked fine from when the evenings got cold until three days ago. Now the timer will not advance beyond 11am. It will be returned for a refund as they have no stock.  Show details

Great small heater, heats quickly – Purchased only a few months ago as my daughters room had no heater duct. It heated it so quickly! Has some great features, especially the fan which heats very quickly. I love this heater and would not hesitate buying another one. I went back and they were sold out!! Best heater I've purchased to date.  Show details

Great heater – This is great! It's a LOT cheaper than many other heaters out there, heats up a room quick, and if you need to boost it, it has a fan. It also comes with a manual timer with quality plastic timing clips, which is easy to use. The plastic clips are a little small (so you might need to use a pen to flick them on or off. I do it ok, and my fingers… Read more

are probably a little big) it really is a great buy. I bought it as I'd purchased a Kmart heater a few years earlier, and needed a second one for a guest room. This is now my everyday heater, and the original one is now in the guest room.

It has that same weird smell all heaters do, when you first switch it on, which dissipates fairly quickly. Overall, this really is a great heater. It has all the features on a heater I want, for a really low price. Plus it looks good. Winning heater!

Does the Job – It has some decent features such as timer, fan and dual setting! I wouldn't rave about it but it does the job. Suitable for my apartment and takes the chill off in the winter months.
