If you want these for noise canceling, don’t – I wanted to try cheap noise canceling headphones before investing in a higher quality pair and I just want to return these asap. Turning on active noice cancelling makes this screeching feedback so horrible and loud it made me cry. they’re not comfortable and gave me a headache within two minutes of wearing them. The sound quality isn’t that great either, you can definitely get better quality headphones in the same price range. I’ll admit that they’re well built, i can’t imagine damaging them if i accidentally dropped them or anything like that. Would not recommend these at all and definitely wasn’t a good experience using these

Purchased in at Kmart for $39.

Amazing Noise Cancelling for the price, gives pricey brands a run for their money – I'm amazed at these Noise Cancelling headphones from Kmart. They are the wired version, as opposed to the bluetooth ones. At $25, I thought I didn't have too much to lose if they didn't work fantastic. However I was pleasantly surprised! The active noise cancelling works very well. I've tried some other brands around the $150 mark, and they didn't perform as well. Compared to expensive brands around the $400 mark (such as Sony or Bose), those brands do as expected have the edge over these $25 Kmart brand. But it comes at a huge cost, and I feel the gap isn't as great as your would think, for that money.

Temper your expectations on the noise cancelling, with the fact that no active noise cancelling does great with high frequency or unpredictable noises (such as noisy kids, talking, etc). This is just due to the physics/mechanics of cancelling out different frequencies of sound. But for what is possible with active noise cancellation - combined with the passive noise cancellation - it does a very good job. Especially at this ridiculously low price!

There is a slightly noticeable, very quiet "hiss" when noise cancelling is active. It's very subtle though. So the advantage of paying an extra $200-$300 on another brand, would be to reduce that - and get a little more noise reduction on the higher frequencies.

Audio quality is great, although mid to high range is probably a bit weaker. Using an EQ on your audio device can compensate for this.

Build quality is also awesome for the price.

Perfect for travel – Bought these for trip overseas. Didn't want anything fancy or expensive, just something to cut plane noise down while watching movie or sleeping and in motel if one of us wanted to watch movie while other slept.. Had a pair id borrowed from son brand name and quite expensive for hubby. Must say we actually fought over whos turn it was to use the KMART ones. They were so comfy over the ears that you could wear for hours. The noise cancelling was to our ears better as well. I still use these at home when doing meditation. Best money spent on a sturdy, comfortable, easy to recharge with very decent noise cancelling product. Well done kmart.
