Yoghurt Function? – I have been using this 6L pressure cooker for many years and is generally happy with it. (I usually work around the limitations using a timer if the presets are inadequate) The manual lacks details. Received I wanted to ferment Sweet Glutinous Rice Wine using the Yoghurt function but I need to know the exact temperature range for this function. Thank you Kogan Support. Show reply

Timer Function – I have followed instructions, however am unable to manually change cooking time. For instance, I have a meat recipe that cooks for 14 minutes and am unable to set cooking time for 14 minutes. Very disappointing. Show details

Kogan 16 in 1 pressure cooker absolutely useless – Bought a kogan 16 in 1 PC. Instruction manual is a joke. Menu system useless. I managed to cook a rice pudding in it, worse rice pudding ever. Just tried to cook meat and potatoes, set the program to fry to brown, after 10 mins closed lid and selected meat. 2 Minutes later PC switched off and won't re-start. I bought a kogan PC cook book, it's … Read more

instructions do not correlate to my PC. This is going in the bin. I will not be buying anything else from Kogan.

It save your time!!! – This pressure cooker did is save your time. For cooking the soup bone, for the stove, I have to stay there and checking. But for the pressure cooker, just press, and wait the beep, then wait the air go out, the lid can open, you will get a nice soup bone. Before I purchased the other pressure cooker, the function nearly the same, but… Read more

After having a stove top pressure cooker this is a dream – The Kogan 900W 6L Electric Pressure Cooker is really great for my needs, I have made a lot of different meals. I cook beetroot in 25 mins for 5 pieces. Mongolian Lamb is beautiful. I also cook roasts, chicken, silverside. You name it, so fast, I love it. One downside is it dosent have a browning key, but I do that on the stove so no problems there. Thats it, happy cooking.  Show details

9 in 1 Multifunctional Pressure Cooker – It may be discontinued but it is excellent in every way, we cooked rice and it was perfect light and fluffy like rice should be. The settings are finger touch so it's so easy to use. Cleaning it is just a simple wash with soapy water and no need to scrub and knowing that it is digital is awesome. When it arrived I could not believe how big it was,… Read more

Love it! – I bought this pressure cooker for my daughter and one for myself at the same time. In the past I have owned a stove top pressure cooker and I found that there was a lot of messing around getting the temperature right and the seal to sit right. With this in mind I bought the Kogan model: KAPRSCOOKXA and hoped for the best! I have had it now… Read more

for 3 months, I only cook simple things in it like silverside, chicken casserole and rice but it does those three meals marvellously.

When you first turn it on it is already on the lowest setting for rice (8 minutes), so if you are cooking rice there is nothing more to do. For my other meals I just push the "+" button until I get about 45 minutes for silverside and about 35 minutes for the chicken casserole.

There are online instructions for the cooker which is very important because pressure cookers have their own special guidelines and safety observances, having enough liquid is especially important.

I noticed on my first go that you need to make sure the pressure release knob is turned to the correct position and properly sitting down or it won't reach pressure and temperature or start counting down. Seems obvious in hindsight!

I was especially impressed with the sealing mechanism, it is very robust and it seals perfectly every time without any effort, it then locks itself when the pressure is sufficient.

The cooker does its own thing while you watch TV, it doesn't hiss steam loudly like the old pressure cookers, it beeps when it is finished and the food always tastes a little specially better done in a pressure cooker than if simmered or boiled.

This pressure cooker was quite cheap really and I use it probably once a week, I am very happy with it.

A very good electric pressure cooker let down by a poor instruction manual – The Kogan 900W 6L Electric Pressure Cooker is a good value and sensible addition to any home kitchen. This cooker is worth adding to your shopping short-list due to its competitive price, reasonable feature list and satisfactory performance. The overall build quality of the cooker is perfectly acceptable. If you have not used an electric… Read more

pressure cooker before I suggest downloading the instruction manual from the Kogan website before you order. This is because, like so many Chinese made appliances, the manual is written in very poor English in places. The manual does not properly explain some features like the "Taste" function (I still have no idea what this does!) or the correct setting of the pressure limit valve and the float valve. This is a concern as the valves serve a very important role and must be properly set to ensure the unit operates safely and the food cooks properly. I got this working after some trial and error. There is an additional instruction sticker attached to the lid of the cooker but the English is so poor it's difficult to understand and confusing. Kogan should address this issue.

Despite the limitations mentioned in the preceding paragraph, this is a good pressure cooker. It does lack the browning function that some electric pressure cookers have but that's a feature you may not miss. The important thing is it cooks the food very well and the pre-set functions save time and make cook setting simple.

Given that Kogan is also the the retailer of this product it is reasonable to comment on the ordering, payment, and delivery process. Kogan do a excellent job in this area and the item was delivered in a very timely manner at a busy time of year. No problems whatsoever.

I recommend this pressure cooker as a worthwhile addition to your kitchen and I am very happy with my purchase.
