It is very good for the price – Phone has ok battery time and internal space and extendable for up to 64GB. I have been using this phone for nearly 2years now. It is ok but sometimes phone get rebooted itself. That is annoying. Since Kogan has discontinued this product really hard to find even a new screen protector for my phone. Show details
You get what you paid for – It is an ok phone for the price... unfortunately though it keeps deleting my contacts randomly so I have no idea who is calling me... thankfully all my contacts are saved to my sim though... found that people I am talking to are saying that there is a lot of background noise and they can't hear me properly... I don't see anywhere in the manual if… Read more
the phone does have "noise cancelling" or if it does it is pretty crap.
Other than that for the price, it is fine for what I need it for.
Awesome for the price – I got this on a promo for only $209 and a few months later it was $289 so I got it at a great price. I initially wanted a Samsung like my mate but the price was 3 times more so I chose this on special. Later when I compared it with my mates Samsung, we could not see any advantage and he was a little jealous that I got it so cheap. This Agora does… Read more
all that any other will do.. even ios. The camera is very powerful front and rear and takes very good video. The screen is sensitive to touch which is great. Really I cant fault it. The only reason I took off one star was because the battery could last a bit longer I thought. If it did... I would give 5 starts, but heck, its $400+ cheaper that its closest rival. Extremely well done Kogan.
Great phone – Great android phone, easy to use does everything and more my previous Samsung's had to offer. Only issue is the Bluetooth hooking up with my car. Would recommend for the price. Love the size and that it can be extended. Have heaps of videos stored. Finding a case challenged me. Show details
Poor customer service – The phone turned off & won't turn back on. Contacted kogan who emailed how to do a forced start. Did'nt work. Next email wasto send them photos of phone cront & back & bar code from original package. Done that. Then they tell me thatthey have forwarded it to a senior team member. Not good service. We run a business & the phone is important. Is… Read more
their warranty worth anything considering the stuffing around they give their customers. I may eventually get a reply that tells what they are going to do to fix the phone & when
Seems the longer I have it the worse it gets – First of all, the selfie camera never worked from the day I got it. We spoke to someone who asked us to send the phone back to them for checking, but then I would be without a phone altogether. The earphone controls don't work, and also does not work as telephone hands free. The phone itself doesn't always pick up. And most recently, the… Read more
phone keeps freezing/crashing/restarting.
I know it is cheap compared to other phones, but I still would've liked it to at least work as a phone.
Rubbish – Cheap Plastic Rubbish. Avoid at all costs. If you are considering this phone don't. Waste of money and big mistake.Constantly, having to do factory resets to get internet to work. Phone slow and constantly freezes. Only had it for a few month and am looking for a new phone already. Don't. Don't. Don't.. Don't buy this phone. Show details
Avoid if wanting to use with native Kogan case – Issue: Battery life halved when using native flip case (cover closed). Cause: Faulty magnetometer (software/hardware) in phone doesn’t properly register the magnet in the case. Effect: When cover is closed - phone screen/standby constantly switches on/off every 20sec - halving battery life. This can seen seen via battery stats or observing… Read more
the phone in a dark room (night).
Solution: (i) From Kogan - besides removing the case - none. (ii) There is an app that engages the proximity sensor (little circle to the right of the front camera), which overrides the magnetometer to switch screen off when cover is closed. However, constantly using proximity sensor uses just as much battery life as original defect.
Notes: Disappointed Kogan wouldn't admit fault with the phone. Or provide refund for the phone. Only a scripted reply blaming the case.
- False and misleading advertising as phone was recommended with the case prior to purchase.
Poor Battery Life? Read this review for an easy fix! – Hello Everyone, There are many reviews that are saying that the battery life on this phone is very poor, I experienced the same issues until made some tweaks to the phone. First of all if you have a Kogan branded case REMOVE IT as soon as you can, trust me once I removed mine the battery life more than doubled. If you need a case for your phone… Read more
then go to Ali Express or Ebay and purchase a cover for a Benq F52 as the Agora 4G Pro and the Benq are the exact same phones. 2nd of all go to settings, search 'always scanning' and tap the 'Scanning always available option' and then turn the button for this setting to 'off ' believe me both these quick and easy tricks helped my phone's battery life.
Great phone for the price – Very good smart phone, will handle all your needs. Obviously not as good as the top of the line phones but for less than half the price of those it is more than worth it. I've read alot of comments about poor battery life which I have also experienced so that is something they could definitely improve on but if you are a low usage person like me its perfect.
Kogan Agora 4G Pro - Poor Battery Life due to Kogan Flip Cover – My wife found the battery life on her Kogan Agora 4G Pro to be just okay. She got it 12 months ago. The phone seemed good so I bought one myself a week ago. I was battling to get 7 hours life even without calls and ensuring I didn't have unnecessary background apps wasting power. NOTE: Remove the Kogan supplied Flip cover (bought separately) and… Read more
surprisingly your battery life will double. My wife doesn't have a Kogan cover so didn't get this problem.
Buy a cover online for a BENQ F52 phone (which is what the Kogan actually is). It is a fake leather flip cover and it doesn't effect battery life. Kogan haven't answered me yet but I wonder if there's a metallic content in their cover causing the phone to boost it's signal or continually 'retry' to improve connection to 4G or WiFi. (I always run WiFi when home).
UPDATE: I just spoken to Kogan and they are aware of the problem of their Flip Cover halving battery life and are (so they say) working on it.
July 26th 2016 Update: Fixes for your problems.
The poor battery life is caused by the Kogan Flip Cover (preventing the screen staying off when closed). Get rid of the cover and buy another one on eBay for a "Benq F52" phone which is what the Kogan Agora 4G Pro really is.
The silence or low volume on ring I found was due to which way I put the phone down (face up or face down). It has a feature where if you are in a meeting you put the phone down face down and it won't interrupt the meeting.
a few teething issues but no complaints – had my Agora 4G plus now for 8 months, in the beginning I had bad reception and or data issues, but found it out to be when I was constantly using battery saver. the phone is great, cheap and does everything I need. ive had iphones, Samsung and htc, and for the money, this wins.
Waste of money – The phone's battery lasts about 5 hours only - it's forever on the charger making it not mobile at all. The ring is so quiet, you never hear it, so many missed calls. A complete waste of money. You can't use the alarm cause the battery dies and the alarm doesn't go off. I would certainly not recommend this phone to anybody.

Know better, choose better.
Silk purse sours ear – I had my Kogan Agora Pro phone stolen, bought a HTC 1. Not happy with it, are now replacing it again with another Agora 4G Pro for the price far superior dollar for dollar, than more expensive phones. Excellent camera also. The back up service from Kogan is also spot on with very knowledgeable staff available to help with all enquiries required.
Great phone for 4 hours – Amazing phone, great to add content on to the micro SD, great for content for a party. BUT unless you have it on charge always you get 4 hours of use. This works for me, but for someone that might want to use as a phone. Do not buy this.
Agora 4G Pro - Can't even get 5hrs battery life – Bought the Agora 4G Pro because I had the Agora 4G version which was great. But the PRO version runs so hot, at over 80% utilization. I even did a total phone reset, to see if it would perform better, but it still ran hot. Enabled all battery saving options as well. Don't buy, its a piece of crap, and now I won't have a phone, because I will be… Read more
sending it back to Kogan under warranty which looks like it takes weeks.
