Quick and easy frozen dessert – My husband eats a lot of fruit and has been freezing some to make ice cream style desserts. This involves using a high speed blender which is pretty messy and not always successful in blending the fruit well enough. So I took a punt on the Kogan frozen fruit dessert maker and bought him one for Christmas. Now I have to say, I have had some hits and misses with Kogan products, so I was really hoping this wasn't one of the "duds". Happily, so far it has turned out to be a great little machine. It's easy to use, and more important - pretty easy to clean. You just pop frozen fruit and frozen cubes of cream or evaporated milk into the chute, turn the machine on, push the plunger down and out of the spout comes your frozen, creamy treat. You can leave out the frozen cream but would recommend using frozen bananas in the fruit mix for a more "creamy" texture. If you follow the directions, particularly the one about leaving the frozen fruit to stand for 5 to 10 minutes before using, you can't go wrong. It's a great way of using left-over fruit and at just under $50 it's one of the cheapest frozen dessert makers on the market.
