Worst Convection, Grill Microwave And Badly Designed – CANNOT use the glass tray inside the microwave when grilling or convection, ok for microwave only. Kogan this is a Microwave, Grill and Convection microwave. Glass tray MUST be removed before grilling or convection but this means leaving the food to cook on the bottom of the microwave. The bottom has a shaft in the middle plus it has bumps and… Read more
ridges on the bottom so food will not sit evenly.
Worse is that Kogan expects you to microwave on the glass then remove the glass tray, take the partly cooked food off the tray and then place the food on the microwave bottom to finish grilling or convection. The microwave has a microwave/combo mode for microwave AND grill or convection cooking but once the microwave part of the COMBO mode is done you must remove the glass tray or it will shatter.
Worse designed microwave/grill/convection ever designed.
Kogan's need to get a cheap priced convection/grill/microwave onto the Australian market by using a glass tray that is NOT heatproof has made this single item a joke and huge complaint generator.
I own 3 Kogan items and there will NEVER be a 4th.
Not a convection at all – Absolutely worthless as a convection microwave.. Even though I have purchased several items from Kogan in the past, this is a blatant fraud and so I will never buy from Kogan again. To return it will cost me $12.88. That is for an item that is falsely advertised as there is no convection microwave on the market in Australia that has the… Read more

This oven cannot be used as a convection oven with the turntable in. Beware, this is a scam.
Pretty ok – Have one in our caravan I do it my way I leave the turntable in wack the temp as high as it will go pre heat first that saves a tot bit of time put whatever you are going to cook on the turntable (not on a rack) works great I always set the cooking timer to more than what it says so just keep an eye on how it is going as I do not rely on the time they say to cook anything
Over $100 for something to replace my microwave – I am a vegetarian having to re-convert to eating meat for health reasons. I thought this appliance would be ideal for grilling meat. Its "user manual" is completely useless. It doesn't grill meat: it might grill - oh, cheese on toast ? But meat, no: the distance between the "grill rack" and the grilling element is far too great. As I have no… Read more
idea the lengths of time needed to cook anything in the convection oven, and as the "user manual" tells me only which knobs to press | turn but nothing about how to actually use the machine, it has simply replaced my original microwave (NOT broken) at a cost of well over $100.
Don't waste your money – I bought both the 25 litre and 30 litre versions of this oven to replace Sharp versions that died after about 20 years sterling service. As a cheap microwave they are quite OK. As a convection / combination convection microwave they are, as supplied, total rubbish. To use it in convection mode they expect you to remove the plastic turntable runner… Read more
and glass turntable and replace it with a metal rack to put the food on. Then they expect the juices from the food to fall all over the oven floor ! What a joke. No turntable for convection cooking ! Very unhygenic, total stupidity. Contacting Kogan is a nightmare and when they reply to your complaint their reply is -
" well that's the way it is supplied, supply your own". Very poor indeed. As a microwave alone it works OK and it's cheap. If you want a "PROPER" convection microwave, don't buy this. Send more on a reputable brand.
Convection, Grill and Microwave for one low price – I purchased this Kogan Microwave/ Convection Oven/ Grill after another model that was a Grill/ Microwave combo had stopped working. I was lucky as I got it for $99.00 on sale, with very reasonable delivery of $24.00 to my regional area. I have three young children aged from 7-2, with one on the way and I find having a microwave an essential item… Read more · 1
for a modern household for meal prep, reheating and more. I ordered the product from Kogan on a Thursday and it arrived on the Monday, so this was perfect as I did not have to live without a microwave for too long. Prior to receiving it, I downloaded and read the instructions and realised that the convection part of the unit cannot be used with the glass turntable due to risk of shattering. So I kept this in mind when I tested this part out. I have owned the microwave for 6 weeks and use it on a daily basis. I am pleased with the provided metal stand that comes with the unit for grilling and oven use. It gets right up under the grill and adequately toasts bread, crisps bacon and melts cheese. Here is how I have found each component of this appliance to be:
- Microwave: It functions perfectly as a microwave. I can reheat leftovers in the same time as my old microwave and it has an easy to use 30 second increment button, that you can add to during cooking. It is simple to use the defrost function by weight of the item you need to defrost. It did 500gms of chicken breast for me without browning in 20 minutes. In winter here in VIC it would have otherwise taken 24 hours to naturally defrost. As a general rule, a bowl of leftover pasta with sauce, or rice, meat and vege or soup, takes around 3-3.5 minutes to re-heat which is perfectly reasonable. It takes around 2 minutes to heat around 400ml milk for hot chocolate and 30 seconds on medium heat to melt around 100gms butter.
- Grill: The grill function is fantastic when used with the high metal stand provided by Kogan. So far I have grilled bacon perfectly, made toasted cheese and avocado on bread (it does toast the bread too), grilled bream fish fillets with herbs and combined it with the convection oven to make cauliflower au gratin, potato bake and apple crumble. I also find that the microwave/ grill function is great for frozen meat pies or sausage rolls for kids for lunch or dinner.
- Convection Oven: I find this to be very impressive. My first test was spinach and ricotta pastries with wet pastry. They came out just like they would in the normal oven, and were flaky and crispy. I used a pyrex dish and it was perfect. I have also used the convection oven for fish fingers and chips, while my oven was busy cooking other things and cauliflower au gratin while the roast was cooking in the oven with veges.
Overall, this is a fantastic all in one unit that works very well for busy families. My advice, familiarise yourself with the instructions before it arrives and you will be cooking away with confidence. The cheapest combo microwave on the market and it works very well! Price, The fact that it is grill, convection, microwave combo and the size Can't use the glass turntable with the convection oven
Selling ovens with full knowledge they have faulty assessories – Cheap quality glass plate shatters when using Convection setting & wheel base blisters. Kogan have covered themselves by adding small print on manual instructing you to remove glass plate. With no turning action convection cooking is useless as you have to open door to move food around and lose heat. Oven clearly designed for convection cooking… Read more
with glass plate turntable. SCAM. Faulty item. Do not buy! Microwave function fine Cannot use convection setting effectively. May as well just buy a microwave.

Caveat Emptor – Bought the Kogan KAMWO25CONAG about a year ago - The microwave performed adequately with light use up until 3 days ago when the glass turntable exploded while I was using the oven in convection mode. I contacted support via email. After 4 days I have had no response. While I found that the microwave was suitable to my requirements, I did note… Read more
significant fluctuations in heat whilst in convection mode. In microwave mode, I found the performance to be quite reasonable. I never used the grill function.
Overall, I am disappointed with my purchase largely due to the poor support. inexpensive, adequate for light use lack of support
Drastically underpowered – Received the product from Kogan earlier this week and have been using it to reheat food. I find the microwave function DRAMATICALLY underpowered. My previous microwave that was only 700w would heat some pasta kept in the fridge in about 3 minutes. This machine takes between 7 to 9 minutes. Tried to defrost a tub of frozen food in the microwave to… Read more
have for dinner and it took about 25 minutes. I could have made it from scratch in less time... Cheap, looks good Extremely underpowered
Ouch this baby gets hot hot hot – Cheap as chips, good value for money, but the low price shows up in use. This baby gets really bl**dy hot, touch the front door or the top panel when using convection and you will know what I mean. In microwave mode the case rattles like crazy, its annoying. I know all microwaves buzz when the magnetron is energised but this rattle and shake is… Read more
not good at all. Not sure how long this baby will last and I'm worried the front door is going to melt sometime soon :) Kogan recommends the glass plate is removed if you are using the convection mode. But that means all you have left to cook the food on is the supplied metal grill. OK for convection only but no good if your doing mixed convection and microwave as metal and microwaves are not a good combination..ie: sparks and fireworks! So out of the box there is no way you can cook food in mixed microwave and convection mode. Not a huge deal as you can use a pyrox plate, or some other oven proof dish. I found out that this same microwave is sold overseas under several other brand names, one is De'Longhi AC925EYG. I'm a bit miffed that you have to remove the glass plate for convection as I know with other brand you don't need to. I have read reports that if you used the glass plate in convection mode the plate could shatter so I would recommend not risking it. Cheap as chips Gets VERY hot, case rattles and is very noisy
I agree with all of the above. I am very disappointed with mine only had it a week. it doesn't have… Read more (+1 reply)
Bargain Buyers Beware! – The old adage you pay for what you get certainly rings true with this product, the glass plate exploded in mine. I was told by Kogan's (extremely slow to respond) customer support team that the plate must be removed when in 'Combination Grill mode' although there is no reference made to this in the user manual. So with no glass plate to be used… Read more
when in both 'Convection' (documented in the manual) and 'Combination Grill' (not documented in the manual) modes the only thing left to place your food receptacle on is a wire rack which does not sit level, due to nowhere to locate it on the uneven stainless oven floor.
Warning - hot food has slid out on me when I've opened the door! One week after initially reporting the incident I was told that the plate was not covered under warranty and asked to fork out $50 for a new one. I would have not bought this microwave had I been aware of the user issues described here and nor would I recommend anyone else purchase one. I so nearly bought the Whirlpool 'Crisp & Grill' instead and now sure wish I had done. Inexpensive, good looks Terrible service/customer support. Not a good product at all
Inexpensive – This is a good started microwave...it has all the features you want and need in a stylish looking case. It is not too noisy, seems to match up against expensive brands, but does seem to get a bit hot to touch once used. Otherwise a great little microwave. Thumbs up! Inexpensive
