Excellent value micowave – This microwave oven is a nice size for those big dishes. I like that it comes with the option to grill as well as combo Cook which means it can cook the food and then grill to give colour and make food looked delicious. It arrived promptly and was well packaged so nothing was broken. I have not used all the cooking options yet but I already see how this microwave is suitable for most kitchen needs especially mine.  Show details

Terrific value for money – Great microwave. Love the dial - very easy and quick to use. Don't have to press lots of buttons to get it working. I've used the grill and combination oven functions a couple of times to bake vegetables. Heats very quickly and temperature is accurate. Overall highly recommended if you can find one.  Show details

Value for $$, Does the Job – Bought it 9 months ago in October 2013. So far, nothing to complain about. I use it for toasting grilling microwaving. It is not slow and underpowered as some users have complained, and not noisy. Just sounds like a regular microwave oven. Read the (somewhat perplexing) manual and try things out. I have got the full functionality promised. … Read more

I use it far more than my regular wall oven now. Does everything they say it does Having to remove the glass plate for grilling and convection,

Much better than I had expected – We have had our Kogan 30 Convection/Grill/Microwave now for 11 months, I did read the reviews before purchasing and was slightly put off. However for the price (no way we could afford any other brand of convection microwave) and with the ACCC on my side I decided to jump in a take the risk despite the reviews, and so far am yet to run into any… Read more

problems at all. I use it as an oven more than as a Microwave, 3 or so minuets to pre-heat makes it so much more convenient than a traditional oven. I follow commonsense rules eg. If I have been using it as an oven I don't then proceed to place anything cold onto the glass plate for microwaving, yes I do leave the glass plate in contrary to the instructions because it just adds that added convenience having the food turn while cooking and not needing to rotate it manually. I honestly love my Kogan 30L Convection Microwave with Grill and consider it the best kitchen investment I've ever made. Pre-heating time, the convenience of having the food rotate while cooking in oven mode, the handy inbuilt timer, the stainless steel look, combination mode. Nothing wrong exactly, just the placement of the grill element makes cleaning awkward.

Very good so far – I bought this with some trepidation given the reviews on here, but it's been good so far (some months). It doesn't look cheap and its performance is as good as our last microwave. The instructions are a bit mysterious. I don't understand how you can remove the rotating plate for baking and have never done so. It doesn't seem to matter. Good value Nothing really Show 3 replies

Got What I Paid For – This convection oven that I bought 5 months ago is cheap, and that's what I got. With the noise, it does work for what we use it for - microwave, convection, combination grill/convection and grill although it does take double, if not triple, the length of time to cook the food. I only just read about the recommendation to remove the glass plate… Read more

when in convection and grill. I haven't been doing that so thank God, the plate hasn't shattered yet.

I will remind myself to read reviews before I buy another unit, although I hope it won't be soon because if I base it on the reviews here, it seems that this microwave will die soon, too. Or my patience will run out in waiting for it to cook food and I will just decide to chuck it and get a better one. looks nice, price noisy, takes a lot of time to heat / cook food

Don't brother – My Sharp convection microwave died after 18 years of service so I brought my Kogan convection microwave after research and it died too after only five (5) short months. That was over a month ago and nothing has been done about it - one email each week to them but still it is in my back room in its original box - dead. Do not go there - my warning… Read more

stay away. Had to send them a video to show it not working. In an email from them 2 weeks ago it said I had to pay postage to Victoria if they cannot replicate the problem. What a joke!

Avoid if you need convection – Well like a large number of Kogan products, you get what you pay for. The convection oven is pathetic, honestly . you can have this thing on the highest setting for hours, no danger of burning food here. If you can avoid this company/model, the money can be spent in better places on products that actually work Ease of use Convection oven is woefully under powered and just isn`t efficient

Jack of all trades, master of none – Was attracted to this microwave by some other reviews I saw (can't remember from where) that it took only few minutes to heat up as an oven compared to full size home oven. Thought it'd be useful to reheat small batches of pie or frozen chips. Turned out it's not as versatile as I expected and the unit size is bigger than my microwave built-in… Read more

space (watch out for the depth) so it has to sit on my kitchen benchtop.

Because it's only 900W, it's a bit frustrating to use as a microwave as it takes double the time to heat things up (compared to my old Sharp inverter model which broke down after 9 years). The heating is also uneven.

As an oven or grill, it's still not that fast to heat up pies (almost as long as heating up my usual oven) but I'm starting to explore the combination mode which starts with microwave first, then bake or grill. It seems to cut down the time but still a bit fiddly (still trial and error for me) and not as good as I expected it to be.

If I were to do this again, I think I'd get a proper inverter microwave and a small toaster oven which would cost me more or less the same combined. Multipurpose not the best in any of the functions and the size is bigger than usual microwave

Clapped out after 14 months - worthless – Good when it works but a total waster of money and very expensive when it breaks after 14 months. Then Kogan make it impossible to go back to your reviews, so after the first rush of pleasure and things start to fall apart you can't post a review that says how my 30L Convection Microwave Oven clapped out 2 months after the 12 month warranty. It's… Read more

now a piece of worthless junk. They're very clever at making things difficult after they've sold you something. The site appears "social" but is carefully contrived to keep all comments away. Cheap - but only if it works Poor quality breaks down not worth repairing
