Would definitely recommend as a cheaper alternative or as a second monitor for another location in the house.
Inexpensive and works as described – Camera works a treat. Haven't had any issues streaming the camera display to our Google Nest Hub (had to set up the camera on the Smarter Home app, and then link to Google Home. Asking Google to then stream the camera display does the trick), and no blue light issues either (can be turned off in settings). Great value, would highly recommend. Show details
Blue light issue? – Has anyone else had an issue with this monitor and the blue light switching on in the middle of the night and waking their child. I had this light off in the settings and it randomly turned on in the middle of the night. I then checked the setting and the indicator was set at off? Very strange and annoying.
False advertising: barely integrates with Google Home – While the camera quality is decent, the main reason i bought this was for integration with a google nest display. The instructions provide little detail as to how to stream on the Google device, and even after 3 days of trading emails with support we have still be unable to get it streaming. Great Value – Blue light is annoying but our omricon has a green one and it doesn't bother us. The other issue is finding a place to put my with stands it up in a slipper ive just put a small bit of pipe on the bassinet and it works a treat the do give you a stand to put it on and stuff but we move it alot so it's just easier for us. Awesome monitor – Loving this baby monitor. The picture is extremely clear and the monitor itself is very easy to position thanks to its design. it has a low crackling background sound, so if you were planning to have this on constantly I would find it annoying especially if trying to sleep. There is a bright blue status indicator light I found annoying and thought I would have to get rid of the monitor, however discovered you can turn it off in the settings. Now I am super happy with it!
Don't waste your money! Product design by someone who don't have a baby – Got this because is similar baby monitor to the Lollipop which is more expensive. The camera and app works fine, the problem is the indicator sensor light that connects to your phone is a bright blue and radiates blue lights in the dark. There's no way to turn off the sensor light, i tried to cover it with blue tack but then the app won't be able to connect to the phone.
This a major product fault and designed by someone who don't have a baby because blue lights are the worst type of light, this will prevent baby sleep!
