People are dumb... The product is great and customer service was with a person so no issues there... lol – Works great AAA, dunno what these idiots are on about saying that the air flow is too low on auto...ummm duh it's supposed to work that way to eliminate noise and save power when not cleaning the air and only turns up higher by itself when the air is unsafe to breathe or you could just turn it on high manually which isn't hard can even be done via… Read more · 1

Just have a look on all the reviews on all the other air purifiers that have "high" air flow and good reviews sure they're happy with it but then they complain about it being too noisy... well what the hell did you expect with high air flow lol, you think the plane designers mainly worry about how noisy a plane is? No their priority is to keep it safe and working correctly. Just try put a lit cigarette or boil a kettle near it and you will see it work fine. Tch... everybody's a skeptic! It works fine...and its cheap!
Also people are saying that there's no filter replacements anymore for the 2S but I just checked and they're still selling them on kogan.com so keep ur facts straight peeps. ;)
Damaged box – Damaged box on delivery. See photos. Why does this organisation think it is OK to deliver products with the box completely torn off on the sides of the product. It really makes you wonder what was going through the mind of the person who decided this is acceptable
Decent filter – I have had one of these for a few years now. I'm fairly happy with it. It definitely helps clean the air, although the recent batch of filters aren't exactly leak tight in the unit, so some air can sneak around. Probably not a major issue. At max speed it can help keep the air of a large room (lounge room) pretty clear, but it is noisy. At the… Read more
lower speeds it could be considered as "useful" in such sized rooms - probably ideal for a bedroom if you have the space.
I haven't used any of the WiFi internet smarts with it, mostly because I didn't see the benefit.
The pollution level read out is useful.
I bought one when Kogan first put them up for pre-orders, so a few years now, and it operates at least 12hrs a day. No unusual noises from the fan bearings so far. When the filter light flashes and I replace the filter, there is a noticeable improvement in the air quality (I have pets) which is clearly the fresh Activated Carbon filter doing its job of taking out the volatile "scent" chemicals in the air.
Every now and then I run the vacuum cleaner over the pre screen filter to remove the collected dust, pet hairs and detritus.
When I position it near my central heating air return (located at the floor) and run the central heating on fan only and the filter on max speed, it helps freshen up the air in the whole house - useful during winter when you don't want to open up windows and doors to air the house out.
The Perfect Air Purifier! – The Air Purifier is quiet when running on all the modes, the turbo mode (required when purification of air is required as soon as possible) is a bit loud, but that other than that the efficiency of the appliance is very reliable, so the air quality can easily be monitored and made better depending on requirements Show details
Reliable Quiet and Efficient – I installed this air purifier in my bedroom 22 months ago. It runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have replaced the filter kit 3 times. It keeps the air fresh and occasionally ramps up for a few minutes when it encounters something in the air. Works perfectly with Alexa and filters are affordable and easy to change. The only downside is the… Read more
very bright Green LED Display that lights up the whole room at night. I fixed this by taping a red filter over the display. I can now still easily read it and it throws no light.
I would recommend this air purifier.
UPDATE: Almost 4 years since purchase and it still works like a charm. Filters still available for purchase.
Improved my families way of life – The product does what is designed to do! Its simplistic design and operation are great for non-technical people. The product has helped my family with hayfever in the morning and any airborne allergens like dust. Running it when your cleaning or tidying around the house make a massive difference. There is a technical aspect of where you can… Read more
connect to Alexa and Google home environment. Which require a bit of setting up through an online tutorial. The manual provided at the time isn’t up to date and doesn’t provide a clear illustration. I just settled with the Kogan Smart app which is simple to set up and great when you have multiple Kogan smart products. Yet again the manual provided isn’t updated for clarity when setting up the smart feature but there is enough information to enable the connection with your smartphone.
Taking the time to clean the filter monthly helps prolong the filter and allow for better airflow through the unit. It is recommended to replace the filter every 6 months but depending on how often you run the unit and clean the filter you can stretch the duration, of course, this depends on every individual use case. Something small to bear in mind, if you were to move the unit around the filter tends to move away from its current position and the air that normally goes through the filter ends up going around it. So after moving or cleaning the unit just double check to see if the filter is back in its position.
Overall it's a great product and being that good! I went and ordered 4 more units for my family.
Horrible device and customer service – Like other reviews, when Auto mode is on, it's barely on. My wife suffers from allergies and we put it on high whenever needed and goodbye sleep. Couldn't get replacement filters for ages and the after service care is woeful. I wanted a refund on the device due to the fact I couldn't get the filter it needed but kogan wouldn't do it. Don't waste… Read more

Update: kogan attempted to mediate the issue by replying to this review then did nothing for another two months. In the end I said I would post this review and an update if I do not receive a response. Do not bother with Kogan!!

$200 disappointment – I purchased two of these units at $200 each plus shipping having been attracted to them by the advertised ability to control them via Google Home. When turned on for the first time a LED blinks and you set about connecting them to Kogan's "Smarter Home" app before adding them to Google Home. I turned on the first one and the Kogan app was unable… Read more
to find it before the LED stopped blinking. Then I tried the second one and it also failed. In this situation the supplied instructions say to press the reset button for a number of seconds to reset the unit and try again. Problem is these units don't have a reset button. Beyond the ability, or rather inability, to control these air purifiers via Google Home they are a very basic and cheap looking unit worth $40-$60, not $200.

It's very loud and distracting – The specs say Noise Level Sleep Mode: <27dB | High Mode: 56dB If you look at noise charts, 55dB is a fridge. In real life, if I stand with my ear next to the gap next to the fridge so I can hear the motor at the back, it is the same noise as the 5-Stage Air Purifier 4S in Sleep Mode. In M mode, which is the next level up and the default… Read more
setting, I can hear it from a room at the other end of the house. I have it in the living room. I'm at the front office with my computer. At M, the sound of the Air Purifier 4S is the same as the sound of my PC fan right next to me.
At High if you're upstairs in the bedroom you'll hear it and wonder what's going on. If you're standing next to it, it's not quite as high pitched as a vacuum cleaner or quite as loud, but you would imagine being able to use it as a vacuum cleaner.
Comparing to a TV. I have it placed on the same wall as my TV. If your TV was at normal volume, and the Kogan Air Purifier 4S was on M, it would be OK. You can hear the noise, but you can still watch the TV. If the Kogan Air Purifier 4S was on H, it would be like someone running the blender in the kitchen.
You would not be able to use this in a room you want to inhabit. Maybe you can turn it on when you go out, and off when you come back. I think these noise ratings are inaccurate to say the least.
Note that Kogan does not have a refund guarantee. They will give you store credit.

Absolute garbage – Simply useless. The auto mode stays on low 99% of the time, which has almost no airflow at all. It rarely ramps up to medium and when it does it's loud and doesn't stay on medium for more than a handful of seconds. If you try manual mode - there's only auto or high!! High sounds like a jet engine taking off and is simply unuseable on this… Read more

May catch some dust, but is more a gadget. Poor aftersales: no replacements filters available – Bought this in the time when he had the bushfires around Perth to see if it did something on the smell. Answer is a clear no. So it ended up the bedroom on automatic to make sure we sleep in fresh air. Point is that it only gets triggered if there is dust blown up, e.g by making the bed and that is probably the reason why after 4 months it wants a… Read more
new filter. the gadget costs you 129 $ and filters go every time for 39 $. Plaything with the Iphone not very useful. Then you discover that for ages Kogan is unable to sell you replacement filters. So now it is just standing there, doing nothing, can not get a filter, but was only a plaything anyway. For 129 $ that is ...............
