Cheap Chinese Crap from Kogan – This extender would be better in your bin outside than plugged in. Do not waste your time buying this. Kogan should at least have a department that tests products like this. Min download speed, hard to configure and no new firmware. Threw mine out. Here is the fix- Unplug the unit. Walk outside and hold the WiFi extender high in the air. Walk… Read more

over to your rubbish bin Open the lid and throw inside. Problems solved. This unit is the most useless piece of garbage ever marketed by Kogan and it should be removed.

Mixed experiences over 12 months - spend more money on something more reliable! – Agree with a number of the other reviews that uses can better spend their money elsewhere. I have had some reliable use out of the extender over the last year but it decided to drop off today and multiple resets an re-configurations with my home network have not resolved the issue. I have also had issues with the internet dropping off when I… Read more

Good for its price – Once it is up and running, it does improve the WiFi reception for the slower or dead spots in the house. But from time to time, the internet doesn't move at all when surfing around, and turning off the power to the kogan wifi extender and turning it back on again makes it better. It seems it needs a reboot to make it get going again.

Spent to many hours trying to connect this Rubbish – I have contacted support on how to connect this device and they have basically repeated what was in the manual. Other Utube videos have questioned weather any testing was done on some of these products prior to delivery?.

Frustrating and a waste of money – Frustrating little device. Connects initially until you type in the network password. It then gives you a success status and that's the end of it. Nothing you do will bring it up on any computer and device. Hit the reset button and you can do it all over again until you get to the second part. Have tried with cable connected to modem… Read more

I guess you get what you pay for.

Avoid.

Rubbish Product – I played around for weeks trying to get this Extender to work. Eventually after reading the reviews here I tried with the Cable and it still would not find the extender.

Awful! Do not waste your time! – Ordered this product due to its cheap price point hoping it would be a cheap an easy fix to my wireless black spots at home. This was not the case as the product would not even turn on! Reading other reviews it is clear Kogan make inferior products. You are better off spending that extra bit of money for a product that will do the job its suppose to.

Laughable – Total pile of garbage. Drops out literally every 5 minutes. Feel like smashing it with a sledgehammer. I've tried moving it closer to the router, and still does the same crap

Rubbish – This extender does not work at all. I've tried every method conceivable without any success. Seriously, it's absolute rubbish. Complete dud of a product. Don't waste your money or your time. Buy another brand.

Lights are on but no action – I have had the extender for about 12 mths and only realised that it wasnt doing anything until my granddaughter arrived this week. I checked if the icon was showing on my PC but it was not. I then attached the extender to my PC with the network cable while it was pluged in, and it still did not show up on the PC. I pressed the reset button for… Read more

OK when they are not interferring with your wifi signal and dropping out – I have two of these at home. The work well most of the time. BUT from time to time, they drop out. This is very annoying, especially when you need a good constant connection. Hence my rating.

Totally useless piece of junk – I've tried both methods of setup but none of my devices will even see that the extender exists so can't do anything. I can't even see the device using a browser because the url just times out.

This wifi repeater is so annoying!!! – I've been trying to set up the Kogan wifi repeater off and on for weeks now, have tried trouble-shooting it online, and tried all of the options for connecting to it mentioned in the user manual, and nothing has worked. I am at my wits end and want to return it if I can't get it to work. Even though the repeater is beside me it sometimes doesn't show in the wireless network connection list. This is very annoying and not worth the stress!

Same trouble – Mine just won't stay connected - effectively useless. It's halfway between router and PC. It just won't be accepted. The website doesn't seem to want to be found either - even when I did it won't connect

Works well – Setup my WiFi extender in AP mode and my speed tests went from 3/3 to 25/18 ... very happy with this product as it has significantly improved the connectivity in a dead spot of my house. This was a much cheaper alternative to other products.

Completely Under Powered – Only improves range and speed by a small margin. Interface is difficult to use and instructions are complicated and overly techie in nature. Took a long time to set up for a minimum amount of improvement

Kogan WIFI Range Extender – Kogan WIFI Range Extender set up was not quite as easy as "plug & play" as the "Quick Set Up Guide" indicated. However my ISP; iiNet gave marvellous assistance with set up. Now the Kogan WIFI Range Extender is in place, we no longer have WIFI "dead spots" in our home. For a reasonable price of $29.00, it does a terrific job.
