Replaced a dicky Mercusys 3 unit mesh where all units failed in warrantee and HN did a swap (with extra cost) and I couldn't be happier. Default router setup changed to WIFI-extender mode and other manual settings took a while to experiment with and get right but after that it seems to be ticking along ok. 1 is WIFI only, it provides 3 ethernet to TV/PVR/media player. So far only had the TV wobble a couple of times, now set to auto DHCP will see how that goes, or in future will use an ethernet cable (that made it reliable). The only setting by APP is a bit crap but seems to work ok. No real adjustments allowed and its pretty basic to keep the uninformed customers stuffing things up. otherwise its pretty good. Edit: Very steady and reliable after several months operation.

latest firmware/software etc. The most infuriating part is TPlinks support is basically non existent, scripted waste of time responses asking me to do things I have already done. Up to now they are taking no responsibility that there is a problem with their app. I am fed up I want my money back.

Brilliant device and even better support – Brilliant product that is really easy to set up, use and is very reliable. Hands down beats my previous more expensive Orbi. for any tech. He was in constant contact with clear directions and worked away at the issue with his team for three or four weeks. The end result is Romain and his team fixed the issue and did so with minimal information as I no longer had the old unit, which likely created them a lot of work. Absolutely first class customer support. Highly recommend the device and the support after purchase. Brilliant and thank you Romain!

Idiot proof modem router with mesh network – This review is for the TP-Link AX3000 Deco X50 3 Pack, including the X50 VDSL modem. After our old modem went "pop" during a recent thunderstorm, I purchased the Deco X50 DSL 3 pack the next day. for $490. Unfortunately the salesman had no clue, so I had to Google reviews in store on my phone. I expected setup challenges, but the TP-Link app made it pretty easy. Took about 10 minutes after I unpacked it until I had internet working. I use Internode as a service provider, and I did not need to speak to them. It was that easy - I kid you not - all automatic. After a week of use now, we are really happy with faster WiFi 6, no complaints, and no crashes. To be honest, I am pretty impressed. I do have the two X50 satellites LAN connected, but have been told that I don't need to. On average, I have 4 hard wired devices, and 17 - 20 individual 2.4/5 GHz connected devices. The mesh is great. Full coverage of my 4 bedroom house, including garage. Really happy so far, and happy to recommend these Deco units. Plus, they look nice. I have yet not experienced a single problem. The app is really easy to set up. Future proof for when I upgrade current FTTN to FTTP. Happy to answer any questions.

I have good connection to our phones via the modem/router wifi both upstairs & downstairs, and connected the tv direct to one of the devices via LAN cable and it is streaming well.

contact tp link support... Had I of thought before taking the task on myself that to link would have readily available tech support... I would have rung them first no doubt. To my absolute delight, after next to no wait at all, I was gifted with what i could only describe as a tech help guardian angel! The most patient, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient technician I think I have ever encountered on a tech support line. Aurelia's understanding of my ineptitude re tech matters was almost worthy of a medal. Never once did she appear frustrated or snappy, despite my occasional questionable instruction comprehension. Never once did she appear in a rush to get off the call with me, and it was clear she would not finish the call until my whole system was running perfectly... Which is exactly what the result was. A perfect running fibre system with huge WiFi range. I'm not sure where the call centre was located, but she was easy to understand, even more so than if I were talking with someone in my own country! I don't know what Aurelia is paid, all i know is it's not enough! lol Tp link, my suggestion is you do everything you can to retain employees such as Aurelia. Do that, and keep your customer service at this level, and never would I consider anything other than tp link, for any product again! Thanks. An amazing experience.

Good customer service – I couldn’t connect this mesh to wifi because my wifi provider had something different and had to change few things when I connect. I was a bit annoyed since retailer said, it will be easy connecting to wifi by myself. But it wasn’t. Well I’ve got sorted with customer service lady and she was helpful. Show details ·  1

Not for technical users! – This device is only able to be setup and administered using the Android/iOS app, and cannot be setup or changed/tweaked via it's web interface. The App's are also quite limited in what they can control on the device, ie you cannot disable DHCP to allow alternative DHCP services on the same network! basic users, not technical people. Having to control/setup via the APP is a terrible idea if you want to fine tune things.

Wasted $330 :-( RUN AWAY!!!.. *TOSS IN THE BIN*

Works as advertised – Got it on special for $373 instead of over $500. Comes with Ethernet cable to connect to NBN (fttp) box. Setup was fairly simple. Performance is excellent; the NBN plan did not change but we no longer have buffering watching Kayo (seems to have the highest Mbps demands of all the streaming services). network performance is good. I didn't realise that each satellite comes with three Ethernet ports - excellent for my needs. The TP-Link mesh system is rated highly elsewhere and I can see why.
