Poorly presented house and false claims in final inspection report – Korn Real Estate has been incredibly disappointing to deal with. On arrival, the house was very poorly presented and we were expected to do significant cleaning and remove large waste/furniture. (attached). Hazardous maintenance was left for over 6 months and was not fixed when we moved out.
a) False information on final report, for example: - Floorboards: it is claimed on the final report that we had damaged floorboards: it is clearly evident from the in-going report that the damage already existed (see below) - Excess furniture: it was claimed that we left excess furniture in the kitchen pantry - this was excess furniture left by the previous tennant in the master bedroom (pictured below) which we had to deal with.
b) We did not received 1 official inspection report in our entire almost 3 year lease. This is the first rental I have been in that has not provided this. This is a vital process for both the agent and tennant to raise outstanding issues.
c) Unattended maintenance - the outdoor patio had collapsing parts of the ceiling which was a significant hazard and could have injured occupants. This was raised to the agent for over 6 months with nothing done (this was not resolved even when we vacated the property). We had attempted to fix, but this required significant repair. We communicated multiple times but this was never fixed. This meant other maintenance issues could also not be resolved
d) Initial presentation - The condition of the house was poor when we arrived and we were required to engage services to make the house livable. We were required to move large furniture from the garage and organize a hard rubbish inspection. I have included an photo examples of some of the issues, our in-going inspection report also highlighted the many issues.
e) I have contacted frequently over the course of tennancy with poor response. It has been over 3 weeks since we vacated and we have still not received our bond and it is very difficult to receive a response from our agent.
I am hoping this can be resolved immediately and I can receive accurate information

to Maria Licastro from KORN real estate who was able to find me a house the next day to move into. It is genuinely unbelievable how quick she was with it all and I would highly recommend her. It’s important to note you also don’t feel like another number on an application that’s going to end up on a desk and get looked over. By mid March I will be moving into my new home in Seacombe gardens all thanks to Maria. KORN real estate have hit the jackpot by having her on their team! Will definitely recommend her to friends and family and anyone for that matter should they ask about her!
No customer service at all ! – Inspected a furnished rental property in Stepney 4 days ago - photos had so much better looking furniture and on the day was shocking ! Agent said yes we will fix all these issues before you move in, just email us about all these and I'll discuss with landlord. Trying to contact the agent since 4 days, left calls, emails, voicemail, and no response or call-back whatsoever despite calling the reception twice!! Pathetic. Scary what happens if we get this property and need some assistance, we'll be stuck on our own!

Rental property viewing – Attended a property viewing today. Agent had no access and left everyone waiting for some time until occupying tenant arrived to let us all in. The tenant had been told that they were to have an inspection and not a viewing by over 15 people. The tenant intended to renew their lease. Unprofessionally handled and embarrassing for everyone. We will be avoiding Korn real estate.
Amazingly incompetent – These people have no clue at all. Prior to moving in they did not organise the house to be cleaned and the agreed repairs completed. They have a habit of showing up without notice along with the owner and will not take action on any issue unless threaten with tribunal. call that they had instead gone to the property which required me to take time off work and a taxi to stop them from unlawfully entering.
They tried to fine me for having a pet as it was against strata rules and didn't even bother checking that they had already accepted my pet application before moving in. I called strata and they said they had never heard of such an incompetent real estate. This is the worst real estate I have ever had in 10 years of renting.
Very little contact and communication with clients – Very little contact and communication with client and they had an Unprofessional manner from employees. Staff also did not show up for house viewing and were not interested in resolving the issue.
Non-existent service. Forget it! – A property at Sylvan Way, Grange, S.A., is up for sale, listing KORN REAL ESTATE as the selling agents, with [name removed] and [name removed] as the contacts. Today, I called the boss again on his mobile number and this time he actually answered the phone! He said [name removed] is on holidays (why is she still the name listed if she isn't around?) and he has "never received" my messages at all. He also said the property is no longer part of uis comany's listings. (Smart vendor!) Given his totally disinterested manner, I said that I would report him for misrepresentation, inadequate and unprofessional service to the Real Estate Industry and false advertising to the public, and his response was : "Go for it, I don't care!". Our experience with Real Estate people and this firm in particular leads me to warn potential buyers that you need to be VERY CAREFUL when dealing with this lot! And if you re thinking of SELLING your place, I'd think again about appointing this mob! Something fishy going on...
