By far best service I have ever received. Despite being well out of warranty they insisted on sending me new parts free of charge and managed to post then with a couple of hours on a Friday afternoon. I'm in my 80's and just love this bike. Full marks to Krystal bikes and their team. Show details
Great all rounder – Live on the Gold Coast 3months of the year. I use it for main transport when I'm over there . Its a great all around bike with lots of storage and tons of power. I'm 73 and really enjoy it. I often turn the power to 0 and ride it like s normal bike so I can get a bit of a work out. Highly recommended. Show details
The Kristall Y20 PRO E-bike has exceeded my expectations and would highly recommend – The team from Avocado bikes are easy to deal with (Thanks Colin and the team). We received both "Y20 Pro" bikes from Avocardo bikes to South Australia in 3x days. Great service. Our 1sr ride (30km round trip) was awesome, we even got asked 3x times, commenting on the look of the bikes and where did we get them. We are looking forward to many more… Read more
traveling adventures with the bikes. The Kristall Y20 PRO E-bike has exceeded my expectations and would highly recommend. :)
Great quality folding electric bike – Arrived within two days very well packed. Accessories include a quality bag, small pump, mobile phone holder and bike tools. The battery is large, lockable and includes two keys. The bike is pre-assembled you only need to slide on the handlebars, one foot pedal and basket. Smart LCD is large and in colour and fairly easy to work out. The basket… Read more
and rear rack are of a solid construction. I like the integrated front headlight and rear brake light/blinkers which work off the battery. Had the bike for a couple of weeks and it's only had the initial charge and going strong. Seat is large and comfortable. I'm a 57 year old female, five foot three and haven't ridden a bike for 20 years and this is my first e-bike. The pedal assist and throttle starts off gently in the lower settings which is great because it is a powerful bike. It is so fun to ride!! At five foot three I'm only just tall enough for the bike seat with the seat on the lowest setting so bear this in mind. The bike folds in half easily and latches securely as with the handlebars, however this is quite a heavy bike, 27 kilos without battery and 31 kilos with battery attached. My husband has to lift it in the vehicle I cannot lift it by myself but we knew the weight before we purchased it. We wanted an electric bike we could both ride initially and the seat and handlebars are adjustable and can accommodate my husband who is six foot two. When we purchase another bike I would like something lighter for myself that I can lift in and out of our vehicle independently. I really enjoy riding the Kristall Y20, it's a robust and very well designed bike. The fat tyres provide a very stable ride however because it is heavy it doesn't turn tight corners easily so you just have to allow yourself more space to go around obstacles and turns. My husband and I both love exploring new places on our Kristall. This weekend we are riding it to the beach. Definitely recommend!!
Up to date technology and excellent service – A joy to ride on the beach, off road and street. Really enjoying the Kristall Y20. Show details

A great buy after a lot of research – The bicycle arrived very quickly was well packaged and pretty easy to assemble. Responses to emails inquiries are very prompt. I've had about 5 x 20km rides mainly at max assistance level 5 (the manual provided said 10) which comfortably achieves 40-45 kmh on flat and slight inclines, I tend to pedal assist on steeper hills when speed drops… Read more · 1
below 35kmh and peddle gearing is available as this saves power.
I purchased the 20AH battery and after 20kms on Max PAS have used 1-2 bars of 5 bars depending on my hill peddling efforts (hills drain the battery). I used the throttle on the first couple of rides but now ghost pedal to hit Max speed and it sets me up for steeper slopes. Note I'm 120kg so that's pretty impressive.
The front bag, phone mount and tools are a nice touch. I've added some small weatherproof panniers that I had on another bike to the rear rack and stuck a couple of waterproof 15L dry bags in the front rack , a heavy duty D-lock and trembler alarm mounted on the seat stem (thieves love E-bikes). And some bright occy straps to lash stuff to rear rack and front rack. I also put on front and rear rechargeable lights that I had lying around as I'm a battery miser rather than use inbuilt lights (there if I need them)
The derailleur gearing is only good for upto 30kmh after that yr ghost pedalling, but that's to be expected. So PAS level 3 takes you to around that speed.
I bought the bike for my wife, however I've had to invest in a non sprung seat post and more compact seat to get it all low enough for my 4ft 8 inch wife, still a stretch but the step through makes taking off easier.
For a bike that folds in my opinion it should have folding pedals, so to that end I went and bought some and swapped them out for the more than adequate pedals supplier (maybe an option)
All in all very happy with the purchase and service provided by Advocado
as you get older it make cycling more enjoyable – battery last for over 60Km, the only complaint is if there was a half power assist Show details · 1
Great Value, The e-bike is well made. The company support was exceptional – I recently purchased the Kristall Fat Tyre Folding EBIKE, and it has truly transformed my biking experience. At 72 years old, I was struggling with knee pain, making uphill rides on a regular bike a daunting task. This powerful ebike has been a game-changer for me. The motor's strength is impressive, effortlessly propelling me uphill with minimal… Read more · 1
