Perfect bike for grandparents keeping up with grandchildren
I recently purchased a ladies Libelle fold up bike and have been enjoying riding most days with family, it has all the features that I was looking for eg. speedo, front and rear lights, reflectors, pedal assist and throttle. One of the best features is that it folds away and we can take it with us where ever we go. I must say we had trouble with our battery charger and rang Leitner to report it, we had a replacement within 24 hours and couldn't have asked for better service, thank you to Alex. I would highly recommend leitner for their bikes and service to anyone who is thinking of buying one as I have had so much enjoyment with my bike.

Cruzing along beautifully
Easy to assemble. Customer support excellent. She goes fast and I'm loving life cruzing around the neighbour and more. Would highly recommend. I got a foldaway for easy transport when going on holiday to take her with me!

A high quality, affordable bike
I picked up the bike on Monday afternoon and assembled it. Everything was there and I did not need any other tools than were provided in the ample toolkit. Everything fitted and the manual was most comprehensive. I was very impressed with the sturdiness, quality and thought that had gone into the bike. It came with mudguards, chain guard and connected front and rear lights. I took it for a ride today and found that I can get all the exercise I want on the flat and just power up the hills!
Great electric bike
Picked up my bike on Friday, had a play on it Saturday and I am well pleased. An excellent bicycle. Wouldn’t hesitate buying another one later on. Will by one for my wife when they have smaller ones next year.

I don't know why I waited so long
We purchased 2 libelle folding e bikes from Leitner 3 months ago and we have been enjoying riding them each day, during the lock down. I love the freedom they give my husband and I. They are easy to ride while still giving us gentle exercise. They take us up small inclines with ease.
nice mechanics and aesthetics, not convinced by power/battery
nice functions - some more dials would help, my version cannt tell distance, speed at all, and power is not detailed - bike can run out quickly. talking of power: the 50km claim is misleading. it might be my bike, but it will not do anything like that on one charge - after 25 rides, say 20k at most, and then on level, riding on lowest power. yesterday i did 25 - but much of those had battery off, and the charge was almost depleted at end. company contacted but brushes aside saying i am doing hills, and "up to 50k" is for level. well it does say..."up to 50k" - that assumes 30 and going downhill without battery. I am about to buy another bike, not much more money but stronger battery (up to 100K) hopefully a claim that can be trusted. will use liebner for fold down occasional city trips. otherwise nice fitout and design

It took a while but...
Leitner folks have been wonderfully supportive during some trying times when my bike went missing with the freight company. I finally unpacked it last night and in under two hours I was away.
I’m impressed with so many things about the bike; did an 8km trip this morning sitting on 17km/h with battery support at 15km/hr. Really helped me get back into bike riding, something I haven’t done for many years. The folding mechanism is so good; it will make transportation in our caravan so much easier.
Easy to put together and maintain. Charge twice per week and ride 15km per day on flat. Has kept me sane during lockdown. After sales service has been fast and amazing.
A second update on my SuperT.
Leitner would never have offered me any sort of guarantee if they'd known how I was going to treat my eBike and I have to say it is still performing brilliantly.
Bush tracks and rocky terrain, up hill and down dale, and no shortage of bingles, tangles and oopsies. It's lost a bit of bark, and so have I, but except for a few punctures, broken spokes and a torn seat we're both still doing fine.
(I admit it's no mudlark but sand, gravel and bulldust are a walk in the park.)
Certainly I'm not suggesting anyone take their Leitner way past a...ny intended specifications on reasonable use or wear and tear, as I continue to do, but I can promise that if I break this one I'll be buying another the same day. It's a beaut piece of machinery with excellent back-up service and I continue to recommend it.
Mechanically good, electrically garbage
Mechanically this bike is great. I've had mine for about 18 months and all I've had to do is tighten the brakes slightly.
Electrically this bike is garbage.
After 18 months the battery range has dropped from around 50km to less than 5km on my daily commute. I am now forced to recharge twice a day just to get to and from work. Also charging is now taking upwards of 2 hours. With a new battery costing a third the price of a new bike I am put off replacing it, and may go for a different brand when in the next 6 months the battery completely fails.
Easy to assemble straight out of the box (30 minutes), seems sturdy, battery lasts well (I got the bigger one but live in a super hilly suburb). If you are prevaricating, get one, you won't regret it.
I bought a Leitner Libelle folding bike one month ago and am very happy with it.
I particularly like the fact that I can get the bike moving to walking pace with the hand throttle, as I am a bit wobbly at the start. Not unusual at my age of 83 years.
The instructions provided on line are very extensive and easy to follow. Assembly was no problem at all. The fact that I can choose several levels of assistance means I can still get as much exercise as I want. My previous male bike was becoming a worry for me as I felt unsafe due to the main bar. Now with the step through my confidence has returned.
A Great Bike
This is a great bike as it is a folding model so that I can use it when I go on holidays with my caravan or just riding around town shopping etc.It also has the added advantage of battery assist too make riding more enjoyable.

Very impressed with the Leitner organisation and particularly their customer handling processes.. as well as the two folding bikes we have purchased! Arrived in just a week into Perth from Melbourne. Very well packaged and good instructions provided as a download over the web. A 'not technical' husband and wife team managed to unpack and construct each bike in just an hour.
We chose a Tirol and Libelle model because when folded they easily slip into the back of the Pajero Sports. These bikes will make such a difference when we go camping and we...

Had a problem and Leitner came through
I bought 2 of these bikes for my wife and myself. The black one was great but had a few problems with the red one. The support people at Leitner were very response and resolved my issues. I judge a company not by when things go right but by how they respond when things go wrong. And Leitner came through.

Excellent bike I’m selling my car.
Really good experience I’m only going to commute with this. No good it rain but ego rides a bike in rain anyway? It is powerful enough so you don’t have to make and effort if you don’t want to.
Leitner Libelle Folding Bike
I bought a Leitner Libelle Folding Bike with a 16 AH battery around 3 months ago and it arrived well packed and intact. It was easy to put together with not much assembly needed and has performed flawlessly since then. I got the bigger 16AH battery as we live in the hills in the Perth WA Darling Ranges and figured that the extra range would come in handy which has proved to be the case. I was amazed with the speed of delivery and with the quality of the build so would have no hesitation in recommending Leitner to anyone. I'm over 70 with pretty dodgy knees so it enables me to continue to enjoy riding without too much effort.

Wayne - Oregon, USA
I spent month's reviewing 20 inch folding ebikes for trail riding in Oregon's desert's. I wanted full suspension, 2 inch tires rather than power-robbing "fatties", strong power for climbing (reasonably) sized hills with fenders/rack/lights and a realistic warrantee (Leitner's is 1 year) And, I wanted an affordable price.
Leitner's Super "T" does this!
Power was my most important ingredient for an ebike for trail riding. From studying them I learned that "watts" doesn't equal power - amps do (check the ebike power calculations online). Wat...ts equals "distance". So if your riding further than 25 miles get a 750+ watt battery. Leithner's 350 watts (650 max) rode me up a 5% hill on a paved golf-cart trail in second gear with the throttle maxed. I wasn't peddling hard, and seated! I weigh 209LBS. The #1 US advertised 20 inch foldable ebike with 500 watts (max- they don't tell you that) is $1600.00. Other compatible ebikes here are $1700 - $2500. I wanted fenders/lights/rack too? Nope, not standard equipment not even a kick-stand with others! Cup holder, NO! The Leitner comes with those except a cup holder that I added. Leitner service, there's that too. I broke a leaver since this "Neanderthal" didn't read the directions before I assembled it. I contacted Leitner and paid for the part, (my bad - not theirs). The headlight operations instructions were printed incorrectly. Before the bike arrived in two day's (!) I had a corrected copy of the light operations with a follow up email to confirm that the lights worked.

You get what you pay for.
For the price, you can't expect to buy the Rolls Royce of bikes.
I'm not brave enough to attempt my full 60Km (return)commute to work every day as I don't think the battery will last.
I need some parts and nowhere on the site can I order individual bike parts.

do all bikes come with LCD display panel
Why can’t I get my order posted to my address in Newcastle?
I can't guess. I had no problem getting mine delivered to beautiful Cairns and it was here in just a week.
Good luck, and it's worth chasing up, because they really are a good bike.
