Loved it to start with, got one for my wife, then disappointment – I purchased this bike nearly 2 years ago, great, easy to assemble and easy on the aging body. I had clocked up about 1000klm + . All of a sudden after 15klm on a ride, it died, the battery was fully charged prior to the ride. Got home and recharged the battery, went for another ride and the same problem. list of things to look for and the conditions the bike was ridden under, I provided all the relevant and correct information, and the response I was given, that I would have to buy a new battery. This is a poor option as I am an aged pensioner and can't afford to keep buying batteries every 18 months. I purchased this bike on reliable recommendation from a relative who has had the same bike for 5 + years with no worries. In the end, Leitner agreed to give me a used battery FOC but I pay the postage, now this battery is failing. After doing some research, I find that ebike battery's should last 5 - 8 years depending on use. I don't think that I have over used my battery. I am not convinced that I have been well treated by Leitner, especially after all the referrals that I have give to people who have asked after the bike. Geoff. Geraldton. WA.
Why did I wait so long? – Love love love ❤️ my Leitner E Bike. Have ridden it nearly every day. Workmanship is perfect. Everything works perfectly as described. I did have to buy a gel seat cover as original seat a-bit hard. Wish I had gone for the bigger battery though. Show details
Simply the best bikes for us – We bought two Venice cruisers in August 2021 and apart from one incident which was my fault (riding through water a bit too deep, necessitating a new processor which I installed) these bikes have performed perfectly. I have ridden 4,405kms to date. Can't recommend this model or brand highly enough. Show details

Bought the Leitner Venice 26” 15Ah for my wife, bike was delivered in a timely manner – Assembly was very easy with no hassles at all. We took the bike out for a first ride this morning, simply put, excellent, very happy. The Leitner Venice replaces a Smartmotion E20 that was not very comfortable, in particular on longer rides. The Leitner Venice out of the box just oozes comfort and practicality, great product, well packaged and very well priced. I’m sure that the bike will provide many years of quality time riding. Good value for money – I've had a few rides and so far, so good. The ability to lock and unlock the speed restriction on the throttle when going on private property and back to public roads, without needing to use any tools or access the controller is fantastic also. a couple of years and loves it. I tried it out but found it too fast on take-off. He assured me "you get used to it". He was right. I'm still learning the ropes but I love it. I am very impressed with the quality of the bike; considering it's not a mountain bike it has handled Narrow Neck, Hanging Rock,The Oaks and various other firetrails in the Blue Mountains with ease and got me all the way out of Megalong Valley back to Blackheath without having to alight once! I've never managed that before. Had a battery 'issue' and Alex was very prompt and courteous; problem resolved itself. The connections to the headlight are hopeless and keep popping off, rendering the otherwise excellent lamp useless. I'll have to try and come up with a solution. Minor problem. It is a great bike and you won't regret purchasing one.

they had a bike, it could be mine and would I like to check it out. Sure enough, Leitner had provided the information required to locate me as the owner. Another example: I telephone Leitner today, all operators are busy, so I hang up to send them an email. Fifteen minutes after I hang up (without leaving a name or phone number) Caitlin calls me and tells me I'd just tried ringing and could she help me? She solved my problem and I'm on my way. Not the usual "your call is important nonsense" that seems to prevail these days. The bikes are robust, well built and fun to ride. And I'm 80 in December. conventional biking had gotten a bit beyond our capacities. Very easy to use, and to learn the combination of gears and power-assist to make riding easy and to maximise battery life. I recently did a 45km round-trip on a bike trail and barely nudged the charge below 'full'. Recharging is quick and easy. One bike developed a minor problem in the crank (factory-based, not use) - a single phone-call to Leitner resulted in the problem being diagnosed and acknowledged and an arrangement made with my local bike mechanic for it to be repaired under warranty. The after-sales service has been excellent. I cannot fault either the product or the service. I wish more companies were as concerned to deliver a great product and to honour their obligations to their customers. Strongly recommend.

Cycling enjoyment extended. Perfect for our situation – Completed a range of 70kms on flat tracks and still had 1/2 battery level remaining. Unless coming to a Hill when it dropped further. Never felt “range anxiety” though. A great bike (we have two) which suit us completely. Show details

while I was riding. Although the bike is well out of warranty, Leitner are replacing the stand for me at no cost. Now that the Cruiser has been upgraded to five levels of pedal assist (mine has only three) I will highly recommend it to anyone who asks about it. And I would also recommend getting the stronger battery.

excellent customer service! Bike stand, chain guard, lights, bell, pannier rack etc are all included. The front wheel and seat are both quick release, and while convenient they are easily stolen. We will probably replace these with better security. We also got a heavy duty lock, and we added a Bikecorp Mesh Wire rear basket. We are very happy so far.

Great bike. Excellent service – Ordered our Venice with 16ah battery and it was ready for pickup as per scheduled date. Don’t arrive early at pick up depot - it’s a slick operation down to the hour! Minor damage to one mudguard and Kitty at Leitner arranged express post of replacement which was easy to fit. Great service and follow-up to ensure all was good. Thanks Kitty & the Leitner crew. Impressed – Was happy after 6 months of riding spoke broke on back wheel. Bike shop fixed it now 10 days 4 flat tyres. Is this a problem with e bikes. Contacted company no answer as yet. Couch to Cruiser – I bought my Leitner Venice in early September and have ridden most days since. I go to our local dog park (ex golf course) and take my two girls for a 5 km run most mornings. I have arthritic feet so to be able to exercise 2 energetic dogs each morning and not be crippled is a huge bonus. Show details

Any queries sent off to Leitner were always answered very promptly. Hills are now no longer an issue for me, I zip up them no worries and now I have to wait at the top of the hill for my husband instead of the other way around. Unfortunately due to lockdown we cannot do all the big rides we normally do so I am really looking forward to trying the bike out on the Capital City Trail in Melbourne in the future. That is a very long ride with lots of hills but I am sure the bike will handle it very well and I won't finish the ride absolutely exhausted.
Under powered – Very under powered. Hills are a struggle. Even when unlocked still doesn’t have the power to get up a steep hill. Leitner were not helpful, wanted video evidence and angle and degree of steep hill. Wife is only 70 kg . This bike isn’t up to it. Very disappointed. Show details
Just the best electric bike I have ever had – I have had Electric bikes before but this one is just the best quality and I love everything about it. Anyone thinking about getting one, don't hesitate you wont be disappointed. The staff are so helpful too.

Terrific – Great customer service from the first contact to any follow up questions I have had. I had the bike assembled by the local bike shop and he adjusts the brakes from time to time for me. I find it easier to use the throttle rather than the set buttons for power assist. Enough power assist to get up very steep hills. Show details
Best e.bike for a novice bike rider – I highly recommend this company and my new Venice ebike. It arrived very quickly, easy to assemble. In the 2 weeks that I have had it. I have ridden 114 klms. I am a novice bike rider and not very confident. I have mastered smooth take offs using the throttle and it has given this inexperienced rider the confidence to ride everywhere. Perfect, this bike has everything I want, very happy! – I just bought 2 of the Venice step through bikes. Wow, wow, wow – I had been delaying buying an e-bike for years and now my only regret is not doing it sooner. Excellent customer service, awesome quality and look of the bike. Pretty easy to assemble with the tools provided. It's also whisper quiet and there are a lot of really clever design features like the quick lift seat to help get the battery out.
