Too many issues. deck, wheels, belt – 1. Caster wheels are puncture-prone, forever need fixing, ended up buying solid wheels on eBay 2. Deck showing hairline cracks around the pullies after 2 years had to be welded Deck stack low, as soon as you release the pedal it won’t stay high. Found out the clevis end of the adjuster cylinder became extended. After adjustment all good for a… Read more

couple of months. Then have to be done again. Ended up removing the cylinder and adjusting using the deck level rotary nob. 3. Belts last between 20 to 50 hours and are prone to come off the pullies frequently. ended up installing a Kevlar belt from eBay. 4. Main wheels have poor grip. This mower is not suitable for steep slopes. Greate mower for level paddocks.

Properly useless design – Difficult to work on, and I spend as much time working on this machine, as working with it. Machine keeps throwing belts off pulleys which are a proper pain to re-fit or replace. Tyres fitted to it cannot be replaced with anything but the originals, which are more expensive than those for my car. They also have no grip on grass with any moisture… Read more

on it. Wish I had bought something else. Also bought one of their push mowers, which simply cannot mow grass. Replaced that with a Honda which works beautifully. Level of care from Kubota? Zero.

Belt or Pulley Problem again! – Less than 60 hours and down again for the fifth time with belt/pulley problem. Very frustrating as Kubota will not recognize they have a problem. Do not recommend! Kawasaki engine cranks excessive before it starts. Show details

A great mower – Bought a Z122R in late 2016, 42' Deck, Kawasaki powered FR651V 21.5 Hp. I'm not sure about all the noise on belt issues but to me it must be abuse. You should not mow at greater than half throttle and pick up big sticks from the surrounding gum tree please. Engaging the Blades at high speed is not recommended. If your wanting Original engine… Read more

Great mower – This is my second year of use. Its the first zero turn mower Ive owned and was very easy to learn to operate. Only a couple of minor issues. Mine requires no choke in summer and floods at times even in winter. The two front tyres are very thin and both punctured with cat heads in the first week of use. Otherwise brilliant, and makes mowing fun.… Read more

The local dealer delivered to my home, provided excellent instruction and ensured I was familiar with safe use. I note other reviews complaints re belt issues. The advice I was given was not to wash under deck. I use a blower after mowing, scrape build up out every now and then and hand wash to keep the rest of mower clean. Mower would suit residential and small acreage.

If you want to save time, choose it – This mower is a 26hp 3cyc diesel that gets better mileage than 8 got on my old 18 hp gas. It has almost unlimited power, mows fast, smooth with power steering, brakes, hydraulic drive. It never bogs down in heavy grass, blades are indestructible and mowers a beautiful smooth flat lawn and is just fun to drive. Would never buy anything else’s.  Show details

Love this machine – Easy to start, and operate. Love the many cutting hieght selections. Purchased last Fall. Started immediately after long hibernation. Just completed 8.0 hour oil and filter change. Found the oil drain location a tad inconvenient. Very comfortable, but I added arm rests... I have an acre and this machine cuts much faster, although there are a… Read more

few steep hills, so I take it slow on those.

I read many reviews and hesitated to buy... I sure am very pleased with my purchase. This replaced a Troy Bilt that lasted 20+ years.

This mower rocks – After buying a couple of 2nd hand tractor style ride ons which fairly promptly failed, I took the plunge and bought the Kubota Z122R brand new. Does everything I could expect of it, mostly just around the house on fairly level ground but also a bit of hairy staff near the front gate where it tackles a decent slope with ease.  Show details

Belt keeps jumping off pully – My Z122R throws the belt and I even broke one. They have a belt tension kit to fix this problem but on back order. They replaced my belt and said they don't have anymore because they to are back ordered. Any part I needed for my new mower has been back ordered. Thinking about going back to Toro.  Show details

Biggest piece of crap I have ever invested in! – Just retired and thought I would invest in a smooth operating zero turn mower to ease my effort for my age. Bought a new Z122R in Jonesboro AR, brought it home, rolled it off the trailer and it would not start. Called three days in a row and they said they would come get it, but finally had to take it to them on the fourth day. Bad gas, they… Read more

said. Took off gas tank and carbuerator and cleaned them and it ran just fine. Thing is, THEY filled it up with that "bad gas." Big problem was the belt, though. It totally shredded after about three mowings. Not covered by warranty they said! Made me buy a new one, telling me that it probably got a stick caught in it. Put the new one on, but about every other mowing, the belt pops off. With research, I see this is a major problem. I have had two major surgeries in the last two years on my left wrist, and have had to put the belt back on about 20 times in the first 30 hours of mowing. It takes me about an hour and a half with the use of one good hand and I am old. This mower is killing me, causing unneeded stress and generates much pain and suffering, which is a far cry from the ease of life I spent $4,500 for. It is simply a piece of crap, and if you are thinking of buying one, look for something else!

Love the mower, but it seems our Kubota dealer has problems getting parts from Kubota themselves! – I love my 45 inch Kubota zero turn mower. However, 3 weeks ago I broke the bolt holding one of my blades to sharpen my blades. The bolt breaking was my fault, but I took my deck to the Kubota dealer, they are super folks, Evens Equipment, to get fixed. They told me they would need to change out the gear box where the bolt brokd. That was 3… Read more

weeks ago and they are still trying to get the part from Kubota. They also have another mower waiting for parts they can't get, and they still can't tell me when they will get the part. I have to mow every 5 days, and my 3 acres is very hard to mow for a 70 year old man with a walk behind mower in thick grass. If I had known my dealer would have such problems getting parts of this national brand, I probably would have gone with another brand. I really like my dealer but they only handle Kuboa and Sthil products. I am very unhappy right now with Kubota. The dealer sold 3 mowers like mine to people who I knew and told how happy I was with my mower. It is

Belt problems – Cut grass one time with no problems. Went to cut it the second and the belt came off, along with a large spring. I made the first payment yesterday. I asked the dealership if this is a common problem and was told it wasn't. Now after a little research it seems to be.  Show details

Worst lawnmower I ever had!! – Knew friends with kubota tractors and they loved them. So I figured their lawnmowers would be as good. WRONG. This thing has given me sooo much trouble. Belts and pulleys. Had it 2 yrs. and it's been in the shop 7 times and of course belts are not covered under the warranty. And the labor is always at least 150$ -200$ or more. The belts come off… Read more

EVERY TIME we mow!!. Could of bought a used mower and had better luck. Bought a new mower so we wouldn't have to work on it. No stars... It's junk, a moneypit, undependable, useless. Had to put one star cause it wouldn't submit with zero stars. Someone should report kubota to the BBB. Then maybe they would make good on all this junk stuff.

Belt coming off – I bought the Kubota z122r it was good for the first mow then started it put the PTO in belt came off. Put it on now every time you put the PTO in smoke comes off the belt. Nothing but crap I'll be taking it back and they can have it...  Show details
