they don't scratch like the plastic disposables. They are much larger which was a bit scary at first but allow your breast to move around naturally especially at night. Sometimes they pop out of the top of lower cut bras but you can just pin them under your bra cup elastic under the breast which also acts like a bib for any leaks under the bra. I now find when using disposables that I worry about the nipple moving out of the small "target" area. This product doesn't have a backing so they will leak through if you have a heavy let down or for overnight engorgement. When going out for longer periods or to events I use a disposable to the bra and then use the wool inside against my skin. Occasionally your nipple will stick to the wool but if you express a little or just carefully pull away then no issues. They are not scratchy they are super soft. I was also expecting them to get a bit gross since they don't get washed much but they stay clean and nice smelling due to the lanolin. I have been washing every week or so but you could go longer. Because this is wool it may leave wooly fibres on your back clothes (like a natural fibre jumper) but that is a small issue for such a wonderful soft product against the skin. Overall such a good product regardless of price. Although should be said they are very economical too compared with good quality disposables.

nipples don't get chaffed. Very comfortable, easy to use. You only need two for the entire breastfeeding period. Pretty cheap I think. They are large, but that's manageable. For the price, comfort and benefits, they are great.

clothes. washable, saves money and environmentally friendly. large enough that if they move a little, you wont have leaks. they are a little bit itchy, although this wasnt too bad. the larger size means that they are not as discreet and can show through your clothes.

Bad – these are great in the fact they are reusable and washable, they seemed a littl big and poked out and were visible under my shirt, they did stop the leaks but I itched like crazy, I think it must of been the wool that made me itch so bad, good product though. good in that they are washable itched like crazy think i am allergic to wool !!
