Very bad experience – Please be careful when using this service I used the interest free purchases to buy things from Harvey Norman and it was only once I used the card . I regularly paid the monthly instalments without fail . I finished paying off why I owed in 2 years . I called the call centre and spoke to someone in India the customer rep said my account balance… Read more
was 0 and he would email me a closure letter which I did receive few days later 1 year and 4 months later I applied for a home loan and during the process my bank informed me that in my credit history, latitude had put that I had missed some payments when I called Latitude again they said my account was open but the card was closed. I said how can that be possible and I have not used the customer rep transferred me to the collection dept who said I owed 32$ of membership fees and he could see that they had reported this as mis payment.latitude finally admitted it was an error and apologised and closed my account again. Very unpredictable and unprofessional company please be weary when dealing with their customer service avoid this service at all costs you have better interest free options by other companies
Sneaky tactics, hidden fees and very hard to close account leading to MORE extra charges – Ended up getting a Latitude pay card via Apple on what was supposed to be 0% finance, as i found out this doesn't include their excessive monthly fees + payment fees, they also set it up so that the interest free finished without paying the total amount so I was getting charged even when it should have been completed. This meant on my 'interest… Read more
free' loan I was getting charged 25% interest at the end of the contract.
When trying to leave them i was trying to pay off the fees however they make it EXTREMELY difficult, you have to pay off the amount by Bpay which takes days to arrive to them by which point I already owed them more fees and the cycle continues. Sneaky tactics.

Do not get trapped – If you sign a contract, they can suddenly bump your account keeping fee to almost $10 per month. Pretty dishonest and unethical (not expecting a financial institution to be ethical anyway). And the payment handling fee of almost $1 every time you make a repayment. They have a good setup to rip you off. I am hoping soon they will be investigated by either ACCC or ASIC. Show details

appears to be a system error on their side causing the payment to not go through. The two agents have even gone as far as to pretend one didn't know the other had responded. When I called this out he all of a sudden spoke worse English....
Very deceitful and questionable activity when a paying customer can prove there were more than sufficient funds in the account at the time payment was due. All I asked was that they credit the $10 incorrect charge against my current plan but all they say is what you see in the attachment.
A finance company that can't right their own wrong with a credit 'cause they only do reversals on active plans' ...now that's dodgy. Clearly they know they are wrong. How do these companies even retain a credit licence with this kind of behaviour??
Helps me on my project – This is my first picture with my new camera and sports GoPro camera I am happy with the plan of buy now pay later with Latitude +, is good plan which help have what you liked more easy
Marketed to be similar to Afterpay, nothing like Afterpay! BEWARE, my credit score dropped by 66 points – Warning, long and detailed review ahead about losing a chunk off my credit score after their credit check, somehow being approved on my application BUT not being able to use the promotion that made me interested in using Latitude Pay in the first place because of identification issues. I signed up for Lattitude Pay because I needed to purchase some items from Catch.com.au and they had a promotion if you used Latitude Pay to pay for your order then you get $15 off your entire order. Sounded simple and easy so I went on the Lattitude site, put my details in, ticked the box to get a credit check without thinking too much and put my license number in to verify my identity. For some reason I was approved but they "couldn't verify my identity" so I couldn't and still can't even use Latitude Pay or their promotion to checkout. I waited patiently, their promotion changed to $25 off the whole order till THIS Sunday so I tried to call and they said they'll get in touch with me once they have a solution. In the meantime, my credit score went down 66 points and I know it's from their check, I was expecting a drop and maybe I was naive but wasn't expecting 66 points?! And I can't make myself feel better about that by actually using their promotion because I'm not verified. If you can't verify someone then don't approve their application and do credit checks dropping credit scores like it's nothing. The two screenshots I've attached is what keeps popping up when I try to use Lattitude Pay and it just goes back and forth between the two when I click the links.

Convenient – The convenient and flexible payment options are great. It is an easy process to set up. Love the reminders. Shame that you can't access details quickly through an app like other payment schedules though.
I love it and I wish more companies and businesses would get on board! – I love that it has the flexibility of being able to pay over 10 weeks and not 4, like other payment plans. So there is less stress and pressure on finances. . It means I can purchase items I really really want right there and then, especially when that item is on sale, without having to "save up" and then purchase at full price because the sale has ended. The only suggestion I have is that Latitude pay needs an app!
Great Payment Option – Latitude Pay gave me the option of 10 weekly payments instead of the usual 4 weeks that Afterpay allow. This works better for me. I have my item and time to pay it off. Winner!
Negative reviews
ACCC are you asleep on the job? – No matter your repayment amount the account will be in debit so you can't close it and the fees keep piling on. 3Nov2024 Edit: Harvey Norman and Latitude Financial have been tried in an Australian court of law. That was the final time I deal with either of these companies.
Poor service and a bit of scam – What a joke!!! Charging on an interest free card with no outstanding spends... and started sending paper statements without my ever asking for one and having the nerve to charge for it! Not to mention the extremely rude customer service operator when i was calling for an explanation... I'd give 0 stars if it were an option!

Thieves – Had nothing on my card for a year or so, I got an email saying that even if I have nothing on my interest free card I'd still be charged $10.95 a month! Then also hit with dishonour fees if I didn't pay the $10.95 a month....needless to say I cancelled my account immediately. What an absolute sham. Be warned all.

Scammers – This company is a total scam. They keep charging me $5 for my statement, even though I switched to online years ago. It's ridiculous! Afterpay and Zip Pay are way better options. This company needs to be shut down ASAP.
Don't close the account properly, so constantly appears in Credit Searches against your name – If you are going to close accounts and depart the market, at least have the decency to close the account properly so that we don't constantly have defunct unusable 'lattitude pay' accounts appearing in out credit Check Reports.
Convoluted service and app which does not focus on customer solutions – Accounts and password reset does not work. Contact centres are OS and do not care for customer’s time, responsibility or finding resolve. Steer clear. No idea why Apple with work with creditline when the latter is simply awful.
Okay for interest free purchases only – Interest free purchases on this card are great if you can pay off something beautiful in a short time frame that you need for your home. The interest is very high otherwise and can be hard to pay off. Be selective on how you use it.
No wonder it is closing – The point of this review for a service that will soon be discontinued is to warn people that this a branch of a much larger parent company. If this is how they do business, consumers would be well advised to be very wary of doing business with anything under the Latitude Financial umbrella. Used the service for years, completed hundreds of plans… Read more
with never a single missed payment.
Then I order something that turns out to be out of stock, and a refund needs to occur. No problem, happened before, should be straightforward. LP contacts me to say the refund failed because of a problem with my card and can they please check details. Everything is OK, refund is processed (for an incorrect amount) and that seems to be that. I didn't notice the incorrect amount at the time as it was a small purchase and a small discrepancy.
As it turns out, they'd originally processed the wrong refund but only on their end- I never received it - then tried to cover it by telling me it was an issue with my card. Both refunds were recorded against my plan. I finished the plan and then roughly a month later got an email telling me a payment of $1.14 would be coming out for a plan that wasn't visible in my account. I assumed it was a glitch. Payment went through which in turn meant a direct debit for a regular bill failed and I got socked with a dishonour fee by my bank.
I went through several email chains and calls trying to sort it out, only to have LP telling me it was somehow my fault and I did in fact still owe them $6. I tried lodging a complaint with them but to absolutely no surprise, the complaints department is just the same read-off-a-script crew from the main department, so it got filed into oblivion. I told them this was all a farce, I wouldn't be paying the $6 and close my account. Ironically, a month later they announced the service would be shutting down anyway.
Today, I have received a notice from their debt collection agency for $16. The $6 + a $10 late fee. I can't stop laughing.
Great till it isn't – Being young and impatient I found myself wanting to get a Macbook to fulfil a life of novelty and nieve-mindedness. Not getting a full understanding of what was required- I thought I was making the repayments rather proactively. On the contrary, I was not. Paying for nothing but interest. My fault, I should have waited and maybe done more… Read more
research rather than jump the gun of impatience.
I've no fault rather than my incompetence. However, should you find yourself to be in a position of Helplessness or confusion the App and customer support team are as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle. You will be spoken to poorly with rough house customer service. Confusing amounts to be paid on the app- $800 for interest and $300 for the device. The confusion only furthers when the main page of the app displays "payout figure $300.00".
There is a clear indication as to why this company is now bankrupt, offshoring staff and confusing interfaces is only the tip of the iceberg.
Full payment was made today- and my account will be canceled quicker than you know.
I'd stay steer clear of Latitude but you won't have to worry when they inevitably get bought out and turned into some brightly coloured null-and-void small loan company, just to accommodate the ever-growing cost of living.
This company's main drawbacks can be summarised. - Poor communication. - Confusing interface in the app. - Barbaric interest rates. - Late communication on a missed payment. - Harrassed when a payment is 24 hours late.
Your choice is your choice, but I would steer clear and maybe consult some Pay Advance companies for a quick scapegoat to aid any uncertainty.
worst service ever – I have been trying to get hold of the so called "supervisors" in this company, But what i get in return is me being put on hold for more than 1 hour until it got cut off automatically. I don't understand why its so hard to just talk to them. It is as if we have all the time in world, doing nothing , just waiting to be answered from Latitude. I am really frustrated and disappointed. Terrible service

This product is terrible – These cards and loan you can take out in 30 minutes but it takes more than a week for any re payment or longer to actually close your account
Worst finance company EVER!! – Atrocious interest rates, terrible customer service, call centres in India not Australia, lost my BPay payments several times, once my loan is paid off will never use them again. Steer clear of this company people at all costs!!!
Would give a Zero if I could – The only venefit is a payment plan if that's what you need. Customer Service is zero - if you receive an automated call they will timeout then demand you call them. Steer clear, there are far far far better providers out there.
Garbage – You can’t even link your LatitudePay to their mobile apps. Not like some "buy now, pay later," there is no drama. I think the one who made Latitude or founded it got insufficient funding.
Terrible Customer Service – I applied for latitude pay 4 weeks ago and I am unable to sign in.... Been two weeks and customer care keep telling us it will take 3 to 5 days and that they are working on it. It's been 4 week already.
Continuation of Latitude Pay appalling behavior – Well, finally punished by the stock market Latitude shares plunge as it reveals hit from cyberattack https://www.smh.com.au/business/banking-and-finance/latitude-shares-plunge-as-it-reveals-hit-from-cyberattack-20230526-p5dbic.html Though I am pretty sure it's not just the data breach but a series mishaps such as treating customers like myself… Read more
shabbily, uncertainty of pending ASIC legal action for lying to consumers plus this data breach.
Again I leave it up to the public to make up their minds whether Latitude pay was right in arbitrarily closing people's account for no reason though in the end they ended closing shop _-----------
It goes deeper than just superficial data, this organisation has let Al your private details such as work history and personal assets etc all made available to scammers

I leave it to readers to make a decision whether you feel the pain you experienced on the receiving end of this organisation compares to the person who runs this business lives and rewarded. ___________ Yet another new update, this organisation needs to get its act together.
First, it was faking that they appreciated loyal customers when they do not absolutely give a damn by closing customers account behind the customers' back and then lying to customers it was some IT issue laughing all the way behind the customers' back when the customers were trying so hard to log in.
Then came the news that they no longer want to do BNPL business more like cannot stand the heat and had to leave the kitchen,
Then of course, all you poor loyal customers, all your private details were hacked and we found out Latitude was keeping even very private information back in the days of GE electric invented the light bulb in contravention of Privacy legislation. You are only supposed to keep information for as long as it is required not forever. Oh yes, all your photos they kept when they say it was just for verification, nope, it was for keeps and it was plastered all over their offices then all stolen by hackers together with birth certificates, passports, licenses, vacation photos, etc.
Lovely! And thank you for your continuous support of an organisation called Latitude
Latest Update: 24 Feb 2023 Latitude Pay bows out of the BNPL market https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11787643/LatitudePay-closes-impacting-JB-HiFi-Good-Guys-Kogan-customers.html Well as my comments months ago below now looks more credible than ever - looks like they were not doing well after all. Oh well. At least I was not the one deceiving customers and closing customers account behind their backs and pretending it was all the customer's fault. What joy ride Latitude pay has taken me on...
Oh well, off to shopping...
In my previous review, I stated I got no service when I had issues accessing my account, unable to make payments, unable to find out anything as Latitude Pay did not provide any support to me when I was not able to access the account to make payments. Mind you, not to make a purchase just to make a payment. Turns out in retrospect, as I found out Latitude knew all along I could not access my account because they intentionally made this happen and kept quiet about it for many many days. The exact motive of this move is like an unsolved murder mystery, the murderer got away so more victims are hurt.
I have only found out today as I am a busy person at work and with their so called helpful 9 to 5 support service, it was difficult to call and wait hence my written request for support.
Today I found a little time to call and was met with foreign person with noisy animals noises in the background and this person said to me -' your account was a write off' and then without a chance to say anything was promptly tranferred to another area, presumably the better dead than alive customer section.
waited and waited and eventually had to leave my number with the robot for a callback - several hours later a callback from Latitude Financial Services and was met with, 'I am so sorry XXX but due to an internal review, it was found that Latitude Pay did not conform to (could not remember actual words) Australian Credit da da da so we closed your account' - Just like that!
'We know you are a very good customer...we really appreciate your business so as a token of gesture, we will waive the $55 balance on your account and you need not pay. It will not affect your credit history. We hope you will apply for Latitude Pay again, but don't try right away, it will not be approved.' (wait till 2045)
So just like that - the account was opened in 2019 perfect payment history limit was increased and increased and now let's punish the customer by closing their account behind their backs and not let them know - ensure they are kept in the dark for many many days so as to intentionally cause them to feel anxiety as if the account was hacked and let the customer constantly reset their password to a closed account since over a week ago. No need to tell them ahead of time, since they are such good customers, let them wonder and wonder for many days on end as if their account was hacked or something. Never mind about the fact that we put in terms and conditions that late payment attracts late fee- never mind about no other ways to make a payment like Bpay or telephone banking - never mind the only way to make a payment to avoid a late fee was to access the account we closed without telling them so many days ago, never mind about the recent hacks into other large companies into people's account - Latitudepay cannot be hacked - we are the only bulletproof organisation in Australia.
never mind about the customer worrying about the late payment - let the fool worry.
This organisation does not give a toss about you - make no mistake - the evidence speaks louder than charlatan marketing. This organisation is so sure that there are no competition that they can do whatever serve their needs at whatever particular point in space or time, never mind about causing customer anxiety not knowing if their credit history is at risk, their late charges are imminent, their account could have been tampered by hackers - See, Latitude Pay does not give a toss about that.
They apparently have decided there's a bunch of unworthy customers since 2019 that they can just flush away in the toilet (out of sight out of mind) because of some rules they claimed they did not follow. But never. ind about the rules they did not follow, let the customers wear it. This is the only financial services organisation that does this behind the backs of 'good paying customer' - their actual words when they spoke with me.
I will continue to live my life, do my shopping, buy whatever I want. Latitude Financial services is a very insignificant little player in the big pond. Latutude pay is an even smaller piece of microbe on a pile of dirt and that's giving them too much credit because dirt are not as manipulative as this business. What were these people thinking pulling a stunt like that - it only ends up hurting their reputation. Sad but true, proving once again, financial services companies is above the law.
If I want to do business with an organisation like this, I can simply squart and crap one out.
