Frothed for a grand total of 1 week then died – Landfill in a box. I got mine as a raffle prize so can't even return it. Light started flashing red and blue then worked for a bit. Now the lights are completely dark when switched on. Rubbish.

Maybe not the healthiest solution – I bought two of these items of which one stopped working after 3 months. After 3 years the other one stopped too. There is no way of cleaning the lid. The frother from the lid didnt turn smoothly anymore. Where the metal stem disappeared into the lid, there is a tiny rubber collar. With a needle we pushed this collar aside and put a little silicon… Read more

oil inside and let the lid rest. After an hour the frother turned smoothly again. Also the old one that hadnt been working for 3 years. It ran very noisy but it frothed the milk again. I dont know how I feel about silicon oil in my milk however, but this is a mechanical solution.

Great while it worked – Lasted about 6 months of use before the red and blue flashing light syndrome kicked in. Cleaning the contacts did not fix the problem Lucky it was free with a coffee capsule purchase. Originally on sale for $129 - feel sorry for anyone who actually paid for one of these.  Show details

Solved -red/blue flashing. Great customer service from Valcorp – The frothing whisk attachment snapped and I contacted Valcorp to purchase a new part. I had thrown out the receipt but showed proof of purchase on credit card statement. They sent a whole new machine at no charge. Great customer service, though slow. Have had a few problems with it flashing blue and red. Discovered that this was due to a poor… Read more

connection between the lid and the jug. Contact points were dirty and I have given them a wipe, works fine now. Points are very sensitive so it needs to be deep cleaned every second time. Also had the machine start then stop after a few seconds. Plugged it into the wall rather than a powerboard and it was fine.

It will probably not last long, just keep your receipt and they will send you a replacement if it's in warranty.

Can't live without if – Can't live without it but unfortunately now have to. After just a few months the connection from the lid to the base does not work and the machine is useless. I absolutely loved it whilst it worked and used it every day. Messaged LaVazza asking if I could purchase a new lid, but no reply. Very disappointing indeed. Wishing I had never bought the coffee maker (even though I love the coffee it makes") as the company so unreliable.

Crap! Doesn't even deserve one star! – Mine only lasted for six months and now all it does is flash red and blue. It's in the bin and it will never be replaced by the same one. I'm heading for Breville! Don't waste your money because you'll be disappointed. Pathetic life span. Shame it's hard to find quality electrical appliances made in Australia these days. So sick of Chinese crap!

Stopped working soon after we got it – We received this frother for free on a promotion for buying the coffee capsules. We also have had this about 6 weeks. Used about 20 times and it now rarely works. I can't grizzle too much with getting it 'for free' but I can see why they would give it away.

Good When It Worked – I bought this frother along with a Lavazza a Modo Mio. I loved it but after only 5 months it has stopped working. All it does is flash red and blue. My friends don't seem to have any trouble with the Aldi frother. I still love the coffee maker. Hopefully it will have a long life!

amazingly bad – I got the Lattemento milk frother as a gift about 2 years ago but only just started using it, as my Nespresso milk frother was finally ready to be replaced after years and years of faithful service. Wow how disappointing. Every time I push the button, all I see is light flashing red and blue. Nothing in the manual about this fault so I have no idea what it means. Completely useless!

Don't waste your money! – Ours lasted a little over 2 years so I guess I shouldn't complain given other comments. Shorted out today and I'm actually relieved its gone. Burns milk, contacts stick so it wouldn't work, way too frothy and difficult to pour. Purchased for over $100 and there must be better value elsewhere!

Lattemento milk frother – I have had 4 of these in less than 12 months, all have ended with the same problem with the sensors in the lid coming loose, it works great at first but after about 6 weeks is unusable.

Lavazza Lattemento – I too had mine blow out after 12mths....tripped the safety switch etc. Did use it a few times daily but should of lasted longer than it did. Will be purchasing different brand this time. Was expensive to purchase and did so because of the name so thought reliable brand. Wouldn't recommend! Great froth No handle so a little tricky to hold as well as not lasting very long.

Lattemento - Its dead! – Product - The mouth is not helpful to pour and have some fun with ur coffee ( with some coffee art or a try at it). The frothing is hideous - if you pour even a little amount of milk - it just becomes way too frothy for use. To just heat the milk to make a quick coffee - its perfect. One issue you will find is that when you heat the… Read more

milk, it forms a layer on the bottom which you need to clean everytime and since you cannot use abrasive materials, it does take a bit of time to clean everytime.

All in all, i would give it a 1 out of 5.

From a support perspective -- read on

We got Lattemento and the Saeco Lavazza Modo Mio coffee machine as a gift about 3 months ago. We have been almost using both of them every day and 3 days ago the Lattemento just died. All we can see is 3 colors of light flashing on the start button.

So we called Lattemento support team and explained to them of our situation - being no reciept because its a gift and what we should do to have this issue rectified.

Their answer - go get the reciept ! ( The product has a serial number and i assume one can track where it was brought from etc., but in a age where service is key , i didnt expect the answer that i got). Easy to make a quick cup of coffee Hard to pour and have some fun, too frothy, hard to clean
