Took 2 squares as directed. 48 hours of extreme bloating, night sweats, heartburn, no sleep, burning sensation in abdomen, back pain, abdomen constant rumbling. Packets expire 2024 Not working – Not working!!! Bought new packets, expiry date 2024 normally they work after 12-24 hours but I used this new batch for a week and they did Not work. really fast. The new batch are either fake imports or the manufacturers have changed the formula to enhance profits and now it’s just Chocolate. Do not waste your time asking your GP, he’ll just say, as he did to me, “your body is getting used to it” but it’s not so. I will have to switch to another product and recommend everyone else does the same if they suddenly find it doesn’t work any more.

Hated it – I took around 10:30 PM and felt the urge to go around 8 AM, nothing major had come out, and I had stomach cramps. At around 9:00, I started to feel sick and vomit. 1 Hour later, I am feeling a lot better. I do not recommend three squares. Show details

i was ecstatic for my time to poop to finally come free me from my fibre-less lifestyle and make a new woman. This was not the case, this was the beginning of the end. Explosive bowel movements, faintness, shaking and sweating followed shortly, and I a 17 year old young woman had to swallow my pride and call my dearest mother into the bathroom, "mum!" i cried as my life began to flash before my eyes. She asked, "what is wrong sweetheart?" with a concerned frown beginning to form upon her face. I start to scream in agony as the pain worsens, i thought the time had come, the grim reaper's visit was upon us. I tell my mother that i love her and i am thankful for all that she had given me in this lifetime. The woman who witnessed my birth was now about to witness my death. There i was a bear assed almost adult being held up by my mother as she watched the life fade from my eyes, holding me for dear life so the paramedics didn't find me unconscious with my enormous dump truck on display for everyone to behold. Though this state of being passed, and i overcame this challenge. I will never live down the trauma and pain this product has caused. I have never been the same person i was before i swallowed those laxatives. Parents, please be wary of this product as it will cause your children immense amount of digestive issues. And if you are an adult who lives alone, your corpse may be found with an exposed butt by the paramedic team who will never forget that story, so please in order to maintain peace on Earth, avoid this product as it is more trouble than it is worth, though it may be a cheap option available readily at the supermarket, is relieving constipation really more valuable than your life and your dignity?

Prepare for pain – First time taking this. Read previous reviews that said 1 and 2 squares do nothing so took 3 since I had sever constipation for months now. Oh my God. I'm in so much pain. Nothing to rave about – For 6 days I was constipated and very uncomfortable due to medication, ordered something different from coles online but these were all they had in stock, worth a try i thought. wind which was a great release when your so bloated and sore, By 10am the following morning I was at breaking point, so I skulled 2 black coffees and and within minutes I had bowel movement and feeling much better. I can't even say it was the laxettes that helped but I can't say it's not either.

As I have just taken 3 block 5 minutes ago and 3 days since the previous incident, I'll have another update tomorrow as to if I believe they help or not

Waste of money, didn't work for me – Took 3 squares around lunchtime, drank plenty of fluids throughout the afternoon, another 3 squares before going to bed. A couple of signs of bowel movements overnight, but no material, just a few farts. Just as constipated in the morning as I was the days before. Worked well for me – First time ever experiencing constipation for nearly 3 days. My partner recommended me this product and I took 3 squares in the morning, after a good 4-5 hours I had a little stool pass in the afternoon and that was it. So the next day I ended up taking another 2 squares in the morning. Throughout the whole day I passed 4 big stools and got out what was blocked in for the past few days. Learn how they interact with your body – I use them occasionally. They don't always work the same, but neither does my body --- you have to learn how they interact. I find its best to take a dose before I feel really gummed up. Keeping up my water intake is worthwhile. I think too many people expect a totally uniform performance every time.

I felt an uncomfortable sensation in my behind a few hours later and thought this might be when the diarrhoea kicks in, but only a pebble plopped out and i was sad :( Another 6 days later I was finally farting enough to get a poo out and when I saw it in the toilet I was so disappointed at how small it looked in the bowl. Would never recommend this brand and it was honestly something you would find in Aldi.

Have tried them all and this suits my nody – I have had constipation all my life and passed it on to my kids. Our bodies don't process water well. Laxettes work well because it uses Senna rather than psyllium so don't need buckets of water. I take 1 before bed and it loosens things up them take another in morning. well while working rather than having to rush to toilet in morning- usually on way to work. Not all bodies are same so hang in there til you find your solution. Ducalex had me doubled up in pain.

don't eat a lot of carbohydrate or starchy food. P.s I have used Chocolate Laxettes when needed for around 15 years when I was diagnosed with a problematic large traverse colon, so I tried psyllium (Yuk!) so perhaps those who read this should drink lots of water , eat a lot of greens and try 2-3 choc Laxette squares around 8.30pm and hpefully get the same wonderful result I do! Rubbish – Despite using the entire box of 24 squares, it is 14 hours later and NOTHING. Totally useless waste of money and taste disgusting. I have had better results from chewing too much gum

I've had to call in sick to work. I have no idea how taking one tablet- when the recommended dose is 1-3, can make one so sick. Worst experience ever.

Awful product – Took 2 pieces before going to bed at 10 pm (the box says they should kick in from 1-6 hours), nothing happened until late in the morning (12 hours later), when I had to go to class, so the whole "no embarrassment and discomfort, works through the night" didn't work out. Had severe abdominal pains, felt nauseous and faint all day. Ended up having to go home sick.

Worst experience ever – I took two tablets before bed on a Sunday night, woke up in the morning with cramps and nausea. I had diarrhoea all day and by evening I was vomiting. I ended up having to go to a doctor and get an injection to stop the nausea so that I could sleep. Nearly 48 hours have passed and I still have cramping. I do not recommend this laxative. I have used it in the past and found it just gave me cramping and didn't help with my constipation at all.

Didn't work for me – I didn't find these helpful at all, but with that being said maybe it's just me as this is around the 10th brand I've tried with only the dulcolax being effective

Good at first – these were good at first when i was experiencing severe indigestion and i couldnt go to the toilet however the longer i took them the more inconsistent it was. i took the right dose however i was continually going throughout the day after every meal (diherhea) aswell as farting when it only states overnight relief. these are good for a one off… Read more

however dont take more than recommended or exceed the limit as there is a nasty aftermath that you do not want to go through. for over 12 years old it says 1- 3 squares, so thats a bit of a differnce however i would start with 1-1 1/2 and see how that goes, dont be tempted to eat all 3 out of desperation or whatever your reasons might be. inexpensive, easy to eat dont be tempted to have the 3 squares it advertises as it is very strong

Good – These are pretty full on. They really do work but they have given me stomach cramps and i have broken out in a sweat so they seem to be a bit harsh. Take only when really needed and don't have too much. Better to have a small amount (1/2 - 1 square), see if that helps and if not repeat again the next night. Easy to eat if you like chocolate. Affordable. Can work too well. Take in moderation, starting with the minimum.
