2023 T60 auto 2ltr. 27,000kms. Three issues. 1)The delay with moving off once accelerator is applied is a very dangerous one. The worst I've had in any vehicle and a serious safety issue. Regardless of which gearbox mode is selected! After the last service it was noticeably better but still there and it has since regressed back to lethality. Comments?; 2) The ZF gearbox is easily confused if you back off from accelerating to speed limit. It changes down when you back off! Under acceleration the shifting is fabulous, fast and smooth. Any suggestions? 3) Bloody harmonic vibration. "Tightened chassis bolts" was carried out at service and made a difference.....after a couple of thousand ks they have loosened again and impress all those aboard with a bloody irritating vibration. Dealer support has been "what problem? Nothing to see here." when in fact they should just tell me what to do and I'll go and do it myself!! By the way, the 2020 2.8ltr one I had was a far better vehicle in all of these regards...I'm sad to have sold it

1) Agree worst turbo lag of any turbo diesel. I thought my MN Triton was bad. Now driving a MR Triton & it's a huge improvement (yet people complain of lag with them too). 2) I had issues with my auto at low speed between D1 to D5. At low speed in town, <50kmh, it never seemed happy in any gear D3 to D5, abrupt/clunky changes etc. Also shuddering when slowing down from D3 >. Dash vibration up to D5 accelerating which would disappear once in D6. Your point 3) may be the issue but whatever it was LDV technicians at my dealership said they couldn't find/notice it. I had a heap of other faults with mine - air con stopped working, got stuck in D3, EGR faults, cruise control not working or dropping out, engine light. They returned it saying fixed (software issue) but within 5 days had check 4wd light on for 24hrs & then it wouldn't go into drive until turned off + restarted. I sold it back to the dealer at a little more than trade in price, so lost a lot of money. In the end I'm glad to be rid of it. LDV (Alteco) wouldn't take any responsibility or compensate me for loss. Only recourse is to hire a suit & take them to the tribunal but it's not worth the time, money or stress to me. Good riddance.

Thanks Matt. 1)I thought bi-turbo was supposed to eliminate lag! I got that wrong. When I test drove the demo model I didn't notice it. Silly me. I'm also wondering if there is some sort of torque converter issue where it doesn't stall soon enough on initial takeoff. Apart from all of that....I seem to be having a better run than you did. All the best

I’ve had trouble . There are two usb ports forward of the gear selector . The one on the drivers side is only for charging . The pax side one does the data . The system does not like Apple and only works when wired by cable …go figure … I have a Sony Bravia TV and it is fussy about apple as well

2023 LDV T60 Luxe. When shutting the engine down there is a clicking sound (3 or 4 loud clicks) and a whirring sound in the rear of the car. Any idea’s. Someone said it’s just the muffler cooling down but that’s not an adequate explanation Thanks Ken

The truck has a common rail turbo diesel engine which must keep pressure in the fuel rail . The pump is probably in the rear and is charging the pressure after shutdown so it fires straight away on the next start .

Own a 2018 LDV T60 lux with 87,000 km. For a while now the car sometimes jerks while decelerating at low speeds. Took it to the local LDV dealer and they're "technicians" have told me I need a new automatic transmission at a cost of $23,000 dollars - one month out of warranty.

Dale H.
Dale H.

A major problem with modern cars. Manufacturers tell the transmission doesn't need servicing, this shortens the life dramatically. Usually gets past warranty and they sell you a new trans. Or better still a new car. Good for them bad for you.

True rubbish . Automatic transmissions will run for their allotted duty if properly serviced My truck never goes to the dealer and I do oils ( it’s a manual for that very reason ) and other service myself or had an independent mechanic do things that are out of my range and it’s normally half the price that the dealer states . Take the approach “ it’s my truck …I’m the one ultimately response for it to keep running and I need to learn as much about it as I can “

Has anyone else had a service fix for the gearbox shudder when braking and auto changing from 3rd down to 1st gear.

Yes my T60 Max. LDV are saying it's normal. Crap. It's very noticeable

Ldv,s are known to have shuddering issues, with no easy fix dealers will fob you off rather than fix it. They don't get played much for warranty work by manufacturer so they avoid hard to sort problems. Happy to sell you a transmission etc. out off warranty for crazy price. Rip off.

Hi all, I just purchased a 2022 LDV T60 and whilst driving it there always a sound like there is alot of wind noise coming from the back. I sat in the back seat and it is coming from the rear fixed window. I can't feel a draft but the noise is quite bad... is this normal?

Troy
Troy

I would not imagine that this is normal. Take it back to dealer so they can hear it and fix it. This is a trivial problem compared to our gear box shunting and emission light constantly coming on. We ended up getting rid of our 2021 model. They are not worth the money

Actually the automatic is a well known ZF..gearbox lot of people don't have the dollars to fork out for a way overpriced!toyota or ranger..60000 ks on mine never a problem!!

Headlights go up and down blinding drivers in front at night. Most times they automatically go up and stay up like they are on high beam but not as bright. Is there a firmware update or something to fix this?

Hello I did something stupid I was trying to replace the front interior lights with LEDs when I pushed the light socket inside the assembly. I need to remove the assembly to put the socket back in place.

Hi Ian, if you are a member of the LDV T60 Owners Facebook page I have just posted photos there on how to and what the underside looks like so you can see the clips you need to manipulate.
