Dont buy any LDV paint and rust issues within 4 years. LDV warranty team give you a run around. Power steering went and steering arms then motor issues under warranty. Show details

LDV T60 Trailrider- Warranty Issues – I have owned my LDV ute for about 3.5 years now. If I'm being honest, it is quite literally the worst car I have ever owned. From the first coupe of months of ownership till now, I have had nothing but issues. Some of these issues have taken nearly 3 years to rectify and some have still not been rectified. I am currently in a fight with LDV and… Read more

Tynan in Kirrawee (NSW) to rectify the remaining items. 1. Turbo had to be replaced after spending 2.5 years arguing back and forth that there was an issue with the motor. 2. Headlights had to be adjusted several times as they would blind other drivers. I was even pulled over by the police who thought I was driving around with my high beams on. 3. Rain sensor for the wipers has been replaced twice. Still playing up. 4. Orange flashing warning light to side view mirrors continually flashed even when no one is next to me. The response from LDV, It's a characteristic of the car and not a fault. Still playing up. 5. Continually get the blind spot warning message coming up on my dash. Still playing up. 6. Car Play drops out whenever the car is placed into reverse and then back into drive. Still playing up. 7. Drivers door wouldn't open from the inside. Thankfully fixed. 8. Vibration sound coming from the engine bay. 9. various other issues.

The worst part is the money I have lost in down time having to continually take the car back over and over again. In some instances, I left the car at the dealers for weeks on end and still the car was given back without all the issues fixed.

I am selling the car , I ordered another car ( not an LDV) about 19 months ago and still waiting for delivery so I can sell the rubbish LDV Ute they try and pass off as a car.

If anyone is considering buying one, I would seriously look at alternatives. LDV offer a 5 year warranty, but try and get something fixed and you will soon learn the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.

I am sure there are others that have had similar experiences and no doubt some of you have had good experiences. As for me , I will never buy a Chinese car ever again and certainly not an LDV.

Got 2 blocks from the dealer and it broke the bed – Only drove it 2 blocks before the engine failed. Took it back for a full refund. Took weeks of fighting as they tried to blame the way I drove it two blocks. Auto shuddered the entire way and I was turning around to go back when it happened. Show details

Great vehicle does what I need from a great Ute – Commuting, carrying heaps of sporting environment on and dirt tracks, every day, every 15,000 kilometres no issues with the vehicle since purchasing. Service manager at Brisbane City Automotive has great knowledge about these vehicles. Show details

Something is fishy with this car – Just purchased a T60 manual Trailrider which was the Dealer executives car & had 8000km on the clock. Purchased it in another state, drove it home on a permit rego etc. Drove the 800km drive home with no concerns, it was comfortable, smooth & seemed to be good, but was just a general drive with no real in depth use. Then had to drive in for Blue… Read more

slip & that's when I picked up just just poor the rear camera is, honestly it has no vision 2ft from the camera that's how bad the quality is. In saying that, not the end of the world as i don't ever tend to use a camera as you should be able to navigate things like that by yourself. Took it into the mechanics for Blue slip & the mechanic couldn't match up the engine #. The paperwork the Dealer gave me had a completely different number to what was actually on the engine.Contacted the Dealer & they said it was odd, but take some photos & send them through & they will investigate. Then after a week of driving the engine light started coming on & the lane departure lights flashed on non stop like a Christmas tree. Took the car into the LDV dealer the next day & they tried saying lane departure warnings should come on when you pass street lights, trees etc which is absolute garbage & no other car does that. They had the car all day & told me to come down close to 5pm to pick it up. Got there & they said there were 7 warning icons picked up on the computer that they couldn't figure out & that they couldn't let me drive it due to safety reasons & if I did it would void all warranty & their liability. Issue is I live 120km each way from dealer & do 1000km a week in it for my job. So at 5pm stuck there, they refused to get me a hire car or do anything about it as they said it wasn't proved to be a warranty issue, so not their problem to help with a car. Next day I called the Dealer 5 times starting at lunch to find out how the repair was going, any update etc as i needed to know as early as possible so I could book a car or sort something out & all 5 times they said give us 5 mins we will check with service & call you back. No return call at any stage until it got to 4:45 when I rang up demanding answers. Was told the ECU was gone & at least a week before they could fix it, LDV claims department then couldn't sign off because someone was away who dealt with those issues, so they couldn't approve & pay for a loan car & said I would have to pay upfront for it & then if LDV approved it they would refund me. Went through my service book & found that the 5000km service wasn't stamped or recorder in the book. Called the Dealer I bought it from & they said as It was an Executives car they don't record that stuff & didn't need to have it in the service book. I demanded proof as the LDV dealer id taken it to said that if the 5000km service wasn't done all my warranties were voided even though it bought from LDV & they told me all servicing was done, so I believed it. I should of checked the day I bought it, but just trusted a New dealer with that. Anyway they claimed it was done but the service manager was away for 1 week so they couldn't send me the proof, more garbage as its a simple email. Then find out the car had already been called back for as brake recall, but was never told that information. Blue tooth I have to pull over as even at full volume you just can't hear anyone while engine is running. Cruise control at 100km varies between 120km down to 80km so you can't rely on it & high chance of getting pulled over. It looks good, drives smooth, but their accountability is attrocious & to be without a car for over a week already at my cost when only done 10k is ridiculous. Is there any way I can make the dealer take the car back so I can buy a real brand, even if I only get my buy price back, minus transfers etc. Id rather cut my losses as i feel if this is what it's like already it can only get worse. LDV customer service is a joke, well there is no service & the dealers cant sign, approve, or do anything until RAM responds & i have concerns they're hiding info & covering up from the dealership.

Very Noisy drive. Bumpy ride. Very sluggish – Purchased the car 2 weeks ago. Fully paid for the vehicle and had it delivered to my home. I also ordered the tow bar and a few extras ie: rubber mud mats, bonnet protector, tints and weather shields, which have been paid for in full. I try to contact the salesman and he’s manager at the dealership in Kirrawee in Sydney’s south and they always say… Read more

we are with customers, we’ll call you back, which never happens. Still waiting for the extras that I’ve paid for. Overall... really disappointing service from the Kirrawee dealership and as for the vehicle: Noisy drive, bumpy ride and the power is non existent very sluggish even in power mode. I’m now considering a trade in on a Ford Ranger, even though I will be losing a few thousand dollars in doing so.
