Leander High Chair

Grows with babu – This high chair is comfortable and with the tray and crutch strap and cushion little ones can’t climb out- not that you should. EVER leave kids alone in a high chair. Very easy to clean. Once suitable for a toddler to sit at the table the tray can be removed and the seat and footrest allow the child to climb up or down for him/herself- it is extreme stable. Stylish, smooth edges and baby loves it – Looks fantastic and my one year old baby loves it. Easy to use, clean and baby goes in without a fuss! Would second the other review in that I’ve seen her try and climb out of it but you must never leave your baby in any high chair. Getting the (expensive) cushion soon which should eliminate baby’s ability to try and stand.
Great design and functionality – Very happy with this high chair. Our son started using it when he was starting solids just after 5 months. We have the tray - it is so easy to keep clean. No hidden spots for food to get stuck and it stays completely white. In addition to looking great this chair is so versatile and can be adjusted to different sizes and ages. Highly recommend it.
Worst buy ever!!!! – A big NO NO!!! In don't understand how any one could design a highchair with not considering SAFETY FIRST.. where is the seat belt??? Or little 14 month old is climbing out of it! Yes there is a safety belt, but ones it's smaller you can't fit the table any more! So expensive and it's worth nothing!!
Beautiful stylish, practical chair. Happy Baby – I have 3 kids and have just converted the Leander Chair back to Baby mode with the Safety Bar. My older children had used it since they were 2. It has just been amazing allowing them it sit at the perfect height at the table and growing with them. My oldest daughter has been using it at her school desk. In the last weeks my 7 month daughter has… Read more
started using it. It is the first time I have used the Safety Bar. It is fantastic, I just love what it offers.. Her back is well supported and feeding her is so easy. Easy to clean. She is very happy in this chair and loves kicking her legs and using the flexibility of the chair. I love the fact that the legs are long with offers great stability.Well worth the money. I know I will be getting many more years use from this chair.
It's just a chair – It should be cheaper as its just a glorified chair. My chid fell from it and hurt his elbow due to it being only a chair! I think for that price it should come with stuff like the cheaper ones have.blah blah blah .thank you for easing this and I hope this helps people in there purchases You can sit in it You can only sit in it.
Great design. Poor quality – We bought this high chair about 3 years ago. We had it for about 6 months before my son was old enough to use it. I started noticing bubbling underneath the lacquer of our chair when he spilt a drink ( I wiped it up immediately ) and when it dried out there were tiny bubbles. Over time these bubbles got bigger, cracked and the lacquer peeled off.… Read more
To begin with the peeling was just on the foot rest but it eventually spread to the seat as well. I'm very disappointed considering the price. I also found it quite difficult to adjust the wooden bar as it was always very stiff. I did love being able to bring the high chair right up to our table and the fact it was so easy to clean because it didn't have all the nooks and crannies of bigger, bulkier, cheaper chairs. Versatility, Style, Could come right up to the table Poor quality and due to this not worth the price.
Beautifully designed, practical, easy to clean and best of all - let's bub enjoy meals with you! – I had my eye on the Stokke for ages but was wary of spending so much on a high chair. Then a friend pointed out that the Leander was on sale so we compared, and this Leander chair won me over. The RRP is slightly cheaper and you don't need to purchase all the ridiculously expensive accessories marketed by Stokke. I'm also partial to the smoother,… Read more
curved design of the Leander. The colour we purchased matches our dining furniture wonderfully and we've had a lot of positive comments from friends with babies who like the look of the chair and how it changes so the our child can sit at the table at the right height as he grows.
We've had it since bub was about 2 months and started letting him sit in it when he could actually sit himself up (about 4.5 months) so he could join us and babble away/play with toys at the table while we ate our meals.
We started him on solids at 6 months and now with some practical use I can say I'm sooo glad I bought this chair! Baby can sit at the table with us, it's so simple to get him in and out (there are grooves in the front bar so you tighten/loosen if required) and all we need to do is wipe it all down to clean it. There are no complicated tables to remove/latches to get caught, grooves where food get's stuck.
When we bought it, the cushion came for free but we purchased the leather strap just to add a bit more security. We did enquire about a harness, but they don't sell this in Australia. At this stage we don't need one - I'll revisit this review when bub starts getting bigger, stronger, and keen to get out of confinement!
I really love the idea of the chair becoming part of the regular dining furniture when bub grows older - I believe it makes the price worth it. It's also really nice having baby sit right up at the table with us, watching us eat our meals and enjoying his food alongside the family. I would certainly add to the collection if we had another child. Beautifully constructed piece of furniture that allows baby to sit at the table, and adapts as baby grows to toddler, child, teen then adult! Quite expensive for a chair, but I do say it's worth the investment.
Excellent – Had this chair for one year since bub was 7 months. It has been great Well balanced, easy to clean, nice to have bub at the table with us. Adjustable, good quality. Recently we used a stokke at a restaurant and the baby rail on this chair is so much easier to use than the trip trapp. Dont have to keep clicking it in and out everytime you put… Read more · 1
baby into the chair. (which is quite difficult on the stokke)
In summary its the same price range and a great alternative to the stokke trip trapp if a less angular design is more your taste. I would defintaly repurchase if I had another child looks great, well made self assembly required
