Leather Honey Leather Conditioner

Easy to Use. Keeps leather supple. Recommended – We purchased two excellent quality second hand, craftsman, TOP/Full GRAIN leather recliners. Built to last forever! Top/Full grain leather is the best leather you can buy. In contrast, the much cheaper "Genuine leather" is polyurethane mixed with reconstituted leather scrap, and will easily tear and degrade. These recliners are a duck egg colour, and we needed to clean them up and protect the leather. We thoroughly cleaned the recliners using 50% IPA, then Meguiars 3-in-1-leather-treatment until the wipe rags came away clean. The following day we were pleased with the look of the leather, but could see that it really needed more nourishment to remain supple. The seats looked a little dry and dull, perhaps because they'd been subjected to more vigorous cleaning. Our final treatment was with Leather Honey Conditioner to further condition the recliners. The product is called honey because it is a viscous fluid. It is oily, not sticky. The recommendation is to dot the product over the leather and massage in. It was easier to start with a very fine ribbon across each section of leather. I used a small, lint free rag (off an old sheet) to rub the LHC into all areas of the recliners. You seriously do not need much leather honey conditioner. I used about 30 ml in total. The recliners were left overnight to soak up the coating. Next morning I firmly rubbed the recliners with a towelling rag to remove the excess leather honey. You WILL need to do this or the leather will be oily, and transfer to your clothes. The final result is very pleasing, not oily or sticky and feels luxurious to the touch. With regular gentle cleaning and conditioning, the recliners could outlast us!
