Disappointing? – Bought for comfort, reliability and functionality July 2017. We're retired and have driven the SUV 77km in 4 years. Gets an annual service with Lexus dealer as per handbook. Five warranty claims, four in first year. Three were rather minor but two quite serious? 1) Front left parking sensor fell out of bumper toward road, held only by cable.… Read more

Caused lots of beeping. We just popped it back in and reported under warranty for an inspection. Been good for 4 years since. 2) Plastic cover over rails on sun roof fell into drivers lap while driving [DANGEROUS!]. Reported under warranty and asked for an inspection after popping it back into place. We were told it was a known issue. Happened twice in the 4 years we have owned the vehicle. 3) Rear seats would not line up after folding and unfolding. Repaired under warranty. No repeats! 4) Sensing of a passenger (70kg) stopped working in first year of ownership. Believe it blocks air-conditioning operation, and air bag deployment, for passenger seat. Extremely DANGEROUS. Repeated just twice (intermittently) 3 years later. Lexus service told us that they could not fix what they could not see broken (which was the same response we got at the car's first service. Luckily then we were able to confirm the issue immediately as it also occurred on picking up the serviced car. Seems very poor attitude for such a vehicle we paid so much for. 5) Now 4 years since purchased and under extended warranty, received a could not start hybrid system message due to not being in Park. Only problem is that it was in Park. Tried about 8 times ourselves, and also manually turning off electronic parking brake. Nothing helped and in fact turning off parking brake caused additional failures associated with EPB not working. Could not move car from carport to get towed to service agent. Could not get Help from Lexus (tried 2 dealers and Premium Customer help). Tow truck driver also tried lots of things including calling someone he knew at Lexus and also used the www. He tried long enough to eventually flatten its 12V battery after more than 1 hour of trying. We got the car "rebooted" from flattened battery using jumper cables (after third try) eventually using a 200 AH Li battery. We then immediately drove to the local LEXUS service agent rather than leaving in car port. No idea what caused this. The service agent said they may not be able to work it out either, but will try possibly the following day.

Brilliant car, excellent upgrade from 2008 RX400h – My father purchased this 2016 RX450h from Lexus of Sutherland in late 2017 as a demo vehicle upgrading from a 2008 RX400h with over 200,000 km's on the clock. Both him & i couldn't be happier with this car, it is absolutely beautiful, especially in the Sonic Titanium colour. The vehicle was purchased with 9,500 km's on the clock & is currently… Read more

sitting at 55,000 km's. In the close to two years that we have owned the vehicle, no issues have arose, servicing has been free (3 years free servicing came with the purchase) & fuel economy has been outstanding, 6.9L/100km for a large SUV is excellent!

The 3.5L V6 mated to the hybrid system is great! Extremely smooth switch from electric to petrol (you cant even feel it), the vehicle takes off at the lights very quickly and leaves my Mum's C200 Bluetec left behind. Fuel economy is great as mentioned above.

The vehicle is very smooth to drive soaking up the harsh Aussie roads beautifully. Comfort is great thanks partly to the soft heated & cooled leather seats but also to the well tuned factory suspension.

The infotainment system as much as the car enthusiasts bag it out actually is pretty good once you get to know it after a few days, the remote touch controller can have its sensitivity turned down which makes a huge difference in day-to-day operation. The only small annoyance is that it doesn't have Android Auto but that may be coming by the end of the year.

Boot space is really good, the electric tailgate is definitely helpful & also opens when you have your hand over the Lexus logo which is handy. Overall vehicle interior space for a family of five with three tall males is really good with plenty of room in the back. The 7 seat option does look attractive though for even more room.

The vehicle has all the creature comforts that you could ever want for a luxury car such as heated & cooled seats, radar cruise control, head up display, huge 12.3" display, stunning Mark Levinson audio system, rear window sun shades and so much more!

Overall, my family & I have been extremely happy with this beautiful Lexus & will definitely continue to buy Lexus's in the future.

Love that its a hybrid – This is my husband's car. He drives it daily commuting to and from work. I have only driven it a handful of times. Nice smooth ride. Love that it's a hybrid although I am waiting for a full electric car to be affordable. Parking sensor work great - love that you can have a birds eye 360 view of the car while parking! Love the built in,… Read more

Lexus has great customer service as always that's why we continue to purchase cars with them.

Best car I have owned – This Lexus would be the best car I have owned ever. We do a lot of driving with the business and we’ve done almost 100,000kms and the car still drives like new. The service team at Brighton Lexus in Melbourne are also one of the best sales and after sales teams. We got a great deal on the best car. So smooth the ride. Amazing to park and it fits so much in that boot!!  Show details

Great car for family – Bought a 2015 Lexus RX450H in 2016, our family loves the car as it's roomy but not too big to drive daily. Also, quite economy to run for a big car (around 8-9Lt/100). My wife's old car is 2011 Kia Sportage Platinum and with the engine of 2.4Lt and smaller car, her fuel consumption was nearly 20Lt/100 due to short run and start stop.  Show details

Extreme reliable car, comfort, reasonable cost to run – Driving experience is superb comparing to German car that driven for 10 years. Performance wise good enough compare how much petrol it drinks. Handling bit soft compare to German car, but lot stress to drive.. noise pretty much the most quiet.. especially the put up and down window. I like everything on this car, just the mouse control inforteinmant need improvement.. space excellent.. Running cost is reasonable..  Show details

After 10 years of driving European cars and being treated like shit wanted a change – It's quite really quite. So far love the adaptive cruise and handling around bends is excellent it is really stable at high speeds. Love thee fact that accessories like all weather mats don't cost a fortune. The steering response is great and Lane keep assist works well accept it does prefer if you are more towards the right of the Lane. It's… Read more

not a full on impressive car like the European ones but I love that every thing just works .

Don't like the fact that enform software doesn't work with Android 7.0.

Haven't figured out why it warns me about school zones in the middle of the night.

If only it has a bigger fuel tank it could make me more adventurous. Just 15℅bigger would be perfect..

Not a big fan of the whole information system specially the controls driving a mouse knob with left hand is painful.

There is one obvious seeing which is totally annoying is the auto lock feature has been removed. Which means if you use the credit card key in your wallet you must remember to lock the car before leaving it or you have to walk all the way back when you remember.

POST 12 Months Ownership .

Its been over a year since I have had this so thought to update my comments earlier.

Still loving it , very smooth riding and quite , the front end gets looks every where, I still love the car very much.

Some things to note. I have been going out to the country a fair bit and it goes well on gravel and dirt roads , not so much on wet soggy ground it gets bogged fast. I have changed the tires to cooper SRX and the ride has become so much better.

Towed trailer with 500KG load no problems it even made it up the dirt incline road with the trailer and load with ease (i must admit i was not sure it would but it surprised me)

Enform Software worked for a while but that android changed versions and it stopped again. its a shame such a small thing is letting the infotainment system down. I have given up on using infotainment system with internet.
