The best vacuum no appliance I've ever bought – The best appliance I've ever bought, just completely changes the way you vacuum. All of a sudden the dreaded corded vac can stay where it is, no more smashing into walls or having to tip it up the right way or even replugging it 10 times. Just grab the cordzero and press go. Having just vacuumed with a dyson animal I thought the carpets would be… Read more
clean and the cordzero wouldn't pick anything up, I was wrong, it picked up an amazing amount of dust, all the more surprising as it sounds like it isn't doing anything. If you want to change the way you vacuum you really will love it.
Save your money – For a cordless vacuum clean and the amount of $$$ you pay for this, you would think that they would have all the part required to fix it. All I need is a small plastic cog that fits on a small motor in the main housing unit probably worth 5 cents and they are saying that you have to buy the whole vacuum cleaning unite worth about $200.00. Save your $$$ ain't worth the price Show details
LG CordZero Handstick Vacuum Cleaner – Reviewed the Dyson v10 first on youtube but after using both decided on LG Cord zero. You get two batteries so you have at least 50 minutes of vac time. The hard floor head swivels sides ways and allows you to get under you beds easier. You can leave it on with out having your finger on the trigger. Also you can press the + button for a few… Read more
seconds and it toggles to full suction then when released goes back to low suction. Was cheaper then the Dyson by $150. Purchased my from Harvey Norman and got a $70 voucher as well. I still need my normal vac at times but and its heavy then the Dyson with 20% less suction but i have no issues using on my wooden floors.
Multi use product – This is a terrific little stick-vac! We bought it for our FL home, which is half carpet and half tile (it has a setting for either carpet or flooring). You know it's working because the cup fills with gray fuzz & dirt. It's easy to empty and use again for the grandkids' messes. I am going to buy another one for my main residence in Michigan. It's… Read more
not too loud and a pleasure to use. Even my 3-yr old granddaughter likes to vacuum for me - that's how light it is!
This is the best cordless vac Iv owned so far – This has been the best cordless vac I have ever owned having even had used a Dyson before. This cordless vac lasts a long time on a single charge and dose about 200sqm in a single charge! It's very powerful and cleans very well picking up small and large bits of dust and dirt too Show details
Powerful – I was weary of spending such a large amount of money ($900) on a vacuum cleaner but it is certainly a case of you pay for what you get. They are many cheaper vacuums on the market but they really don't compare to this one. I had previously purchased a cheaper vacuum and was disappointed from the beginning. I had to spend a lot of extra time… Read more
going over and over the same spot of carpet trying to suck up gunk that this machine can get no worries. If you are after a powerful machine that will work on all types of floors the first time around, is easy to use and has a huge battery time (dual batteries that last for 80 mins) then this is the only vacuum you should purchase.
This. Vacume was good but spend less at Kmart and it works as good – I used it mainly downstairs in large family room it’s light and easy to manuver.;I have a lot of cat and dog hair to clean up it’s easier than pulling out the rather large ducted vacuumed downstairs and having to roll up again. So if there’s an accident or animal hair needs a daily once over I found that it was quite suitable and much better at… Read more
getting into corners than those round self directed vacuumed ad much as I wish they would b efficient then I would sit down and take a break. Overall quite satisfied
BEST HAND VAC OUT THERE – As a worker of a retail store that stocks these items as well as its competitors I could not give these guys a higher rank for their well thought of design and aspects. LG are commonly known for only doing well in home appliance and TV quality, with their robot vacuum being the poorest of qualities, however they have redeemed themselves with these… Read more
hand vacs.
DYSON is a good brand but you have to pay more for more suction power and run time however through the whole LG range you pay more for accessories without sacrificing the others. You get a carpet head and a hard floor head with most of the LG range but you don't with DYSON. LG gives you removable batteries which are easier to remove than dyson and with 2 of their vacs you get 2 batteries. Another plus with LG is that you get a standing charger base which is perfect for people renting and cannot drill into walls. I feel as though LG has really thought about their items before releasing. Would recommend over DYSON.
I was also a DYSON user before discovering these beauties.
And a lot of customers who bu LG stick vacs off me always come back to compliment and thank me for recommending such a good product. 10/10.
Great way to charge and cleans floors easy – We love how this vacume charges in its dock and is very compact and fits in our small spaced lawndrey. The handle is very nice to hold and at the right higher for me and my partner. The cord for the charger could be longer but was probably designed to be placed close to a power socket Show details
Awesome – Bought this vacuum when we were moving to a small 2 bedroom granny flat. Things changed and we are now in a large 4 bedroom house and we use this vacuum all the time. It came with 2 battery packs but we have never run out of battery while doing the whole house. Swap them over every so often so they both get used. Only downside is that the anti tangle part does sometimes get tangled up with hair but it's easily fixed. Show details
Decent vacuum – The vacuum has been able to perform well in my carpeted apartment. Its been able to suck everything that got in its way. It is light and my mother with arthritis has been able to use it effortlessly. She was so happy with it she got one for my grandmother. Make sure you don't vacuum the verandah with this like my mum did and you will love this vacuum cleaner for years to come. Show details
Awesome! – Works well but only on hard floors. It just bunches up dust and dirt into a ball of fluff on carpet. My front light also stopped working not long after purchase. I bought it to do hard floors so I'm still happy! It has great suction and the battery lasts a really long time! Show details
Fantastic – Does a great job, has a light that lights up the floor your cleaning. Had a spare battery but never needed it so far, does the whole house with plenty of battery life left over. Picks up everything even the cat hair. Only thing is the barrel is a bit fiddle to get off and on but otherwise can't fault it and it stands up by itself and sits in its stand to recharge. It's perfect
Find out how LG CordZero VS8402SCW (Silver) compares to other Stick & Cordless Vacuum Cleaners
Know better, choose better.
Best Cordless Vacuum I Have Ever Used – Was trying to decide between the LG CordZeo vacuum or a Dyson but found the LG was far more comfortable to use due to the motor being at the bottom and not the top like the Dyson's. Also found the power of the LG was far better and also really liked how 2 batteries where provided just in case you run out mid vacuum. (Yet to happen) Would be more then happy to buy this again or recommend to family and friends. Show details
Love it! – The LG CordZero is light and easy to use. It is good on slate, mats, tiles and carpet. I originally bought it for the small spills here and there, but find that I am using it all the time downstairs (about 140sqm). I have done the carpets upstairs with it but was constantly emptying it as the dust bin is quite small. On my carpet, it is not as… Read more
good as my corded vac, but still does a great job. I find it's not that great with some edges and corners, but then I just un-clip the hand held bit, zoom along the edges and it's done. Like others have said, it loses suction when the filter is clogged, but if you keep them clean, this little machine will not disappoint. On a side note.....if my sons or husband now see something that requires a quick vac, they will reach for the LG. Never, ever, have they voluntarily vacuumed. For that alone - it was worth every penny. I love my CordZero!
No hair to pull out of the roller! – This portable vacuum replaced another brand which had died because of poor battery life. When possible we do a lot of research and test runs before purchasing anything but the one thing you can't test with portable items is battery life and longevity. So in this case I could only sample its vacuuming ability by doing half of the Harvey Norman… Read more
small appliance and computer section. Its not the best on carpet for its ease of pushing and pulling but it did the task of picking up what was present. The noise is quite strange on carpet as if the motor sounds as if it's struggling. Although the unit has a powerful motor and is backed up by a very good manufacturer warranty. It comes with a spare battery which we haven't had to use yet as the main battery has great life. The vacuum was purchased to do light work on hardwood flooring in the living room and kitchen and a few floor rugs and some tiles sections. It gets used a minimum 2 times a day. Say about 5 -10 minutes each time. Suction is good up until it starts getting poor and then you know it's time to clean out dust filter. The collection part is quite easy to remove and discarding the waste is not a hassle. They recommend cleaning the filter after use but generally it's every other day. It's not bad for getting debris close to corners and up close to walls. The best thing about the vacuum is its ability to remove hair from the roller by itself. I purchased it mainly because of this feature. This is the first vacuum I have owned where you don't have to spend time cutting through the hair that had tangled itself aroung the roller. It is with out a doubt the best feature yet in a vacuum. Beside this also having an extra battery, and it stands up by itself when unattended makes it a great unit. The detachable handheld section we use very little but another nice feature when we do is that all the extra attachments are built into this unit and flip and slide out. I've owned and used Dyson's and Electrolux units and I have to say this beats them as the capable all rounder. It's a tad noisy at full power but no more than a Dyson (which will wear out your arm after 5 minutes of having to pull a trigger and supporting the weight of the canister in one hand). After almos a year we are still extremely happy with this vacuum especially for its intended use. Its also very capable with carpets although it's perfect on tiles and hard flooring. Battery life has not been an issue and if It does become one we have a free spare one charged and ready.
Outstanding cordless vacuum cleaner – Purchased this unit just over 12 months ago following on from four disastrous Electrolux Stik Vacs. Some of the claims made I was somewhat sceptical, but after 12 months unit is far better than expected. Came with 2 easily changeable 18 volt Li-ion batteries. Takes just over half an hour to vacuum entire house and first battery has not lost any… Read more
performance, so assume unit runs over one hour before recharging. Another outstanding feature is the turbo roller is belt driven and has four synthetic blades in addition to 2 brushes and never has hair tangle.
Hand piece very easy to remove and replace to main unit, and possibly the easiest unit to clean.
Performance is far above previous units with excellent suction and very good carpet cleaning, as well as hard floor cleaning.
Again an outstanding unit and we have not used our large 240 volt unit since it's purchase.
Slightly average – Got this based on a review on Lifehacker. Managed to find it cheapest at the Good Guys 8 months ago from the date of this review as i was living in a furnished apartment with a entry level bagged vacuum. This unit does a much better job. The dual 30 min batteries are a good idea with the built in lights and the capture canister is easy to… Read more
access. It also is a splittable unit that turns into a dustbuster. A nice docking station for charging and storage and charging of both the vacuum and the spare battery to have ready at hand.
I generally get the 30min charge from both. It is good for small apartments on quick cleans.
The downsides are:
- The small size of the canister is a pain, so you can't run for long periods despite battery time.
- The unit in both full and dust buster forms is quite heavy for those with wrist or arm issues,
- The filter can block up I think too often, loses suction,
- No attachments to speak of, the extend nozzle has a brush on it and that's it. No other options.
- Small suction orifice can get blocked easily, any larger particles or dust bunnies can be a problem,
- Dust can spurt from the air outlets on occasion, kind of defeats the purpose.
Worst product ever purchased – Does not have any suction, tried to call LG waiting over 50 minutes, DO NOT BUY biggest waste of money a $20 VACUUM from cheap store could do much better , Paid $300 for this rubbish . Cannot pick up dust or particles from wooden floors, tiles, let alone carpet . Show details
Pleasantly surprised! – When our Electrolux stick vacuum died on us recently, I was reluctant to buy another stick vacuum due to the poor performance of the Electrolux (mind you, the battery did last around 3 years, which I'm told is a rarity with Electrolux). Well, the LG CordZero has restored my faith in these vacuums. It's quieter than the Electrolux (though a… Read more
little heavier but feels more powerful), manoeuvres itself really well over our tiled floor and around furniture, has a light just like the Electrolux that helps me see all the blonde dog fur, the suction picks up everything from bird seed to dog fur and grit without a problem and I don't have to vacuum over the same spot. It performs really well on our low pile carpets too (again, lifting dog fur and the in-ground dust that isn't visible to the naked eye) as well. And amazingly, carpet and hair never gets stuck in the roller! One session will give me around 40 minutes if I use the low setting. It's great having the second back up battery also - something I've not seen before. For once, I haven't bought a lemon! The sales girl at Good Guys was really knowledgeable and really raved about this model (she'd never had any returns on it, unlike the Electrolux and the Bissell).
Excellent hand stick cleaner – Our previous hand stick cleaner only lasted just over 12 months ( Eletrolux) as the rechargeable batter was dead. So it was time to upgrade. Looked and tried different model hand sticks such as Black and Decker, Dyson, LG, Hoover and Bissell). (wont buy a Electrolux again due to the short battery life). Factors that determined what model I chose… Read more
was ease of use on carpet and tile floor, ability to suck up most type of rubbish, weight of the unit and price. We chose LG as this unit ticked all of these boxes.
It wasn't until we used the hand stick at home did I release how good this unit was.
Much better sucking performance than the Electolux - pickled up all of the rubbish on the floor ( grass, dust, human hair and bird seed from the cage. It is easy to maneuver round furniture and the unit is quite light to handle. I was surprised how well the unit performed on carpet - easy to push on the carpet and collected all of the rubbish.
Love having a dual battery - so the run time can be extended to 40 minutes using both batteries, the anti tangle brush also saves you having to remove the roller brush and cut out the hair and having a built in brush means no need to look for attachments.
My wife finds this unit very easy to use and is very happy with the purchase
If you were looking at buying a hand stick vacuum, then I would certainly recommend this unit., .
A WOLF in sheep's clothing – I use Choice magazine in Australia that test like products to give me a direction of what product will be best for me, but unfortunately in the May 2015 stick vacuum tests, the LG VS8402SCW wasn't included. I wanted to replace an Electrolux "The Boss" cordless vacuum that has served us well, this was a cordless vacuum rather than cordless… Read more

Anyway, I took my own bag of grit including kitty litter dropped whilst filling tray, dog/cat hair plus other dust to The Good Guys and thought I'd ruin the LG CordZero.
Surprisingly, the LG CordZero picked up all of the grit and dog/cat fur off short pile carpet without too much effort. Also, the brush had very little pet hair wrapped around it, something The Boss was bad at.
I thought, the Dyson v6 Absolute stick got an almost top rating from Choice so it must be better than the LG VS8402SCW CordZero so I tipped out the dog/cat hair plus grit on the same carpet and gave the Dyson a try.
Surprisingly, the Dyson performed much worse, it picked up most of the dirt and grit, but failed miserably with the pet hair, it collected the majority but left fur on the carpet wherever it was pushed.
I said to the lovely sales assistant, I better see if the LG VS8402SCW CordZero can get the pet hair off the carpet that the Dyson V6 Absolute left behind.
With LITTLE EFFORT, all of the pet hair and grit was removed, carpet was squeaky clean again.
The 0.35 litre dust collection canister is just OK, comparable with others in the same market, just wished it was closer to 0.5 litre or more.
Made cleaning my floor so much more convenient – This product so far has shown good suction power, it's lightweight and easy to manoeuvre into corners and under the table. We have tiled floors all through out, the best feature is that the hair doesn't get tangled on the bottom of the vacuum which makes it so much easier to clean it afterwards.I purchased this for $467 with the additional 4 years warranty for the product.
