LG LD-1415M / LD-1415M1 / LD-1415W1 Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have a LD-1415W1; 13 years of faultless operation. Very happy with it. But now have an persistent FE error: inlet valve ‘problem’. Any easy check/fix? I figure the cost of a service fee, given the age I’m better off just committing to a new one.
A little testing. The error means the dishwasher thinks it is overfilling. It may not be the valve if it is not actually overfilling. So, is the valve open all the time, or is water leaking past the valve when it is closed? Did you have to turn the tap off to stop the water flowing? If so, with the power to the dishwasher turned OFF, door OPEN, open the tap briefly to observe if water flows into the dishwasher. If it flows into the dishwasher, turn the tap off. That means the valve is stuck open mechanically - possibly just from limescale or other debris. An easy fix. Do this please and report back.
It seems to have come good. The inlet valve was never stuck open; never uncontrolled water coming in, just the error message. It subsequently ran ok on a shorter cycle. I suspect it was too much rinse aid coming out, overly frothing (seen when opening) and perhaps triggering the sensor.
We have E1 coming can you please tell how to fis it. Thank you
The springs in the door are broken and now it doesn’t wash ? We’re can I get the springs from ?
When I turn the dishwasher on it beeps and then turns off. Is there anything that I can do to fix this myself?
Are the rack's universal? We like this dishwasher but the racks are useless for holding our dinner plates and would like to change for a rack that is better suited to our needs.
I'm afraid I don't know and mine has now been sold and a Miele purchased! A much better dishwasher!
No idea sorry. Sold mine as well
Hello,
Can you tell me what I can do to prevent the front plate racks on the bottom drawer ( on each side of the front basket) from collapsing when loaded, I have made sure it is centred in the middle grummet on each side of the door but once loaded it collapses.. I have the LD1461T model..
Thanks
Not sure. Maybe silicon or superglue them into position
Sorry Jan, I have not had this problem with my dishwasher.
Thanks Leigh, had not considered that as it is so permanent and restricts the ability to change the system if a larger area is required, however it is so frustrating I am ready to do it:)
just zip tie it in the position you want it...doesnt move after that
Just inherited the LG it seems that my very normal dinner plates are too big and they hit the middle jet spray. Am I missing something???? Help
Hi Caroline. We didn't have that problem, sorry. Ours was the bottom spray arm hitting the underside of the bottom tray/basket and a leaking front control panel. Just crap machines with multiple issues I guess....
Hi caroline can you adjust the upper shelf height? I cant remember if I had that problem. Ive since got rid of the lg dishwasher and upgraded to a samsung. Its great!!
Hi Caroline, it would seem, like many others, including me, you will have to get rid of the LG and buy a decent machine. I used to have a Miele which was superb. I would suggest removing the crockery baskets and using the machine as a cupboard!!!
I have an E1 code on the screen of the dishwasher - what does this mean?

Can anyone help? I have an LD-1415M I'm I'm a rental property and I don't have a manual for it. It's stopping mid cycle and on the display it's flashing OE power light and chosen cycle light still on. Every 10 mins it beeps at me for 10 seconds. What does this mean please?
OE code means the drain hose could be kinked or the filter is clogged.
