Hello, I was wondering if you could advise what repair is required when the bottom of the door is leaking water badly on my LG LD14542WFEN2/
Contact your local repair agent you may have a blockage in the pipe which isn’t draining properly or the seal may need replacing
Our LD1452WFEN2 dishwasher is leaking water out the bottom of the door. Has anyone else had this problem. It was purchased in July 2013.
We are having the same problem, purchased same model dishwasher in 2014 and it has been leaking underneath. We only became aware of the problem when we noticed the cupboard kickboards had warped. It must have been a minor leak and now is becoming worse but only after the damage to our cupboard kickboards which will need replacing.
Just bought this model dishwasher and it comes up with E1 on screen how can I fix disheashet?
I had to get a repairman in to put in a new pump. Parts and labour here in Australia cost me about $220. My dishwasher was out of warranty. Only the motor has a 10 year warranty... nothing else has.
Our dishwasher has jet dry in it, but the light still flashes indicating a rinse aid is needed. This just started about 2 weeks ago. what’s wrong?
Hi Sandi: Did you get any solution from any other website / service matter expert? I am living with this situation for past 9 months. No help from LG India. They say that I will have to send the machine to workshop and a whole assembly set needs to be replaced.
I called the service department where we bought the dishwasher. They replaced the whole rinse aid dispenser and it is fine now.
Why does the salt light stay on on my LG Model: LD-1482W4 dishwasher when it is full of salt? I am using Wpro dishwasher regenerating salt.
Hi Rosie: Did you get any solution from any other website / service matter expert? For me first it was the Rinse Aid indicator and even the Salt indicator keeps flashing even though there is Salt. No help from LG India. They say that I will have
to send the machine to workshop and a whole assembly set needs to be replaced.
Having issues with my drawers/prongs rusting out and snapping off. I would assume they would be made of an item to withstand constant water. Has anyone suffered this issue? I haven't got any other issue apart from this and the replacement lower drawer is not cheap either
wow you must have some strong water ,
my draws are like almost new , and I would not like to walk the miles that mine has done,
Racks may still be under warranty. Mine are covered for 5 years. Should tell you in the users manual or you can call the company and they can tell you. I have had our LG for less than 5 years and BOTH racks have rusted and have been replaced for free since they were under warranty. Unfortunately, I feel that it is something I will have to deal with for the life of the dishwasher as the first replaced rack is showing signs of rust and it is only 2 years old.
The plastic covering on my wire racks also split and rusted the wired beneath. My LG Dwash is 6 1/2 years old now, but I have extended warranty cover, so had the wire racks replaced under this warranty a couple of years ago, but since then the racks are starting to rust again.
Sometimes the machine won't start unless we turn the power off at the power point for a few minutes. Turn the power point back on and then we can push the power button on the dishwasher and select a cycle. Has this happened to anyone else?
No, no problems at all,
No, just got rid of machine and now will not buy LG because of indifferent customer service.
Yes, although it generally just requires a single off/on cycle without having to wait. Occasionally, it requires multiple cycles before it works.
Yes this keeps happening with ours also. We have the lights flashing too and it seems to get stuck on a cycle sometimes
After approximately 2.5 years my LG LD1452WFEN2 Model dishwasher is getting the OE symbol appearing consistently early in the cycle. We can occasionally get it to run a full cycle in just the Quick setting. Reading the other reviews it seems like this is a regular occurrence for people. We bought it as it was highly awarded in a CHOICE article. LG, if you're moderating this board, is there anything consistently wrong with this model that we should be looking at? It would be great to get some helpful guidance.
I have the exact same issue similar timing
It was the pump. New one replaced a couple of weeks back. Paid LG a call out fee of about $160 and that call out fee covers the replacement part if it should have issues (in warranty) down the track. Part was about $80.
hi i have the LG 1452 model dishwasher keeps coming up with the fault code OE ,have tried using compressed air to blow back down the drain tube but the same fault code keeps happening can some help me?
I have had a look in my book and it says that the drain hose could be kinked, filter clogged, blocked spigot or motor trouble. When we first installed ours I kept getting this error code so I rang LG on 1300 542273 and they ran a diagnostic over the phone using my smart phone, they can step you through it, which confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the machine. The problem in our case was that the spigot connection under the sink was blocked which was causing the dishwasher to not be able to drain the water away. Since we fixed it there have been no more problems. I suggest you ring LG.
Question ? Is the felt on the back of the dishwasher suppose to be removed or does it stay on there ? Also there is a smell coming from the dishwasher when it is in use would this just be a "new" smell or a problem ?
I'm not qualified to answer your question, you would need to ask a repair/service man. We did not remove any felt from the back of our machine and didn't notice any smell.
Sorry can't be of any more help.
Recently had this model installed in the rental we are in. seems to work fine except during the dual intensity cycle it causes the pipes in the house to vibrate very noisily (does this twice during the cycle). Prefer the dual intensity cycle to auto as it does a better job. Is there any way to stop this from happening?
Yes. Install an anti-hammer valve in your water piping. Your local plumber will be able to help you out with supply and fitting of one
Just bought unit & very happy so far. Is there a way to turn off the rinse aid low, orange flashing lamp ? As we are using powerball tablets which already include rinse aid we don't need to top up the rinse aid. Odd that the manual states not to use in this instance but light keeps flashing anway, slightly annoying, but if that's the worst thing about this machine I'll be pretty happy, excellent washer otherwise.
Steve......
Hi Steve,
I put a small amount of rinse aid in anyway...but will let it run out to see what happens...I don't
think you would be able to turn this off? Maybe flick LG an email? be interested to know?
Cheers
Mrs B
Hi Steve, I can't use rinse aid as we are on a septic system and had the light flashing until I put vinegar in the rinse aid section. If you don't want to use vinegar perhaps water will do the trick? Still happy with my unit, should have bought one years ago!
Regards,
Gilda
Hi Steve, looks like Gilda has responded for me, exactly what I was going to suggest. The machine wont know what liquid you have in the rinse aid just as long as the sensors detect sufficient volume.
Just touching on a review I just read that someone left on this thread in regards to a brand new faulty dishwasher, To any person who buys a new product in Australia especially an electrical item and it has a major fault such as the motor is dead on arrival or dies within the first week or two and it needs to be replaced, this is referred to as a 'major fault' and/or 'first up failure'. Under consumer law you have the right to a full refund or a brand new product, for a company to say "to bad we will send it for repair", this is not right and it will leave you with the fear of that product not lasting very long or no faith in that brand in the future. So regardless of purchase price stand up for your rights!
Cheers Stephen.
re size to fit our opening height 84 centimeters width 60 c
It should fit OK - we got someone recommended by Harvey Norman at Gepps Cross (that's where we bought the dishwasher) and he came up here and altered the cupboard space and also did the plumbing and electrical work. In other words did the lot!
Can you pause the wash, just had to press power button as machine making odd noise, opened door and spoon had fallen and was catching pressed power again and machine restarted from beginning?
We have just installed ours and would love to know the answer to this is well! I can't find a way to pause the cycle to add more items etc. Can anyone help?
I do not own one but just being logical. Next time simply cut the power from the wall outlet (Do not press Power button). Then resume power so that machine resumes from where it left off
Just open the door and the cycle is paused.
Just open door, do whatever then close door, cycle resumes.
I have been using this dishwasher for a year. Suddenly there are detergent deposits on my dishes. What do I do?
Arora, not really sure of the answer, Googling this prob came up with several possible causes ie too much detergent, even water temp! but since you have had machine for a year, I suspect maybe the hardness of your water may have changed? Google and see most likely cause of your particular problem, sorry I can't help more. - I haven't forgotten to complete my product review, but one thing I'll say here is that I have broken the most common rule (with my new LG) manufacturers suggest against - 'don't overload / overcrowd dishwasher' - I do...ALL THE TIME ('cos I'm lazy!) and still the dishes come out completely clean, fully dry and 'streak free'. I haven't yet been able to 'fool' this machine! Full review will come soon
Do not refer me to online manuals etc.
What is the main difference between a LD1452MFEN2 and LD1452WFEN2 (reviews for this seem to reveal a good product but could not find any to buy)?
Sonia, I believe it refers to colour/outer finish ie W= White, T=Titanium, & M=Metal (ie SS). I will be updating my review soon...in the mean time, let's just say "this machine is magic!" Especially good for lazy blokes like me!
Hi Sonia, I think Spud might be right.....machine still has not missed a beat...Harvey Norman had them in their last promotion about 3 weeks ago in Darwin. I'm thinking same around the rest of Aus?
I might add also that the height for the lower rack is great for large platters...
Where is the rinse cycle on the LD1452WFEN2
Do you mean a pre-wash cycle? If so, I don't think there is one. The lights indicate when the rinse cycle is on during the wash cycles, but otherwise there doesn't seem to be a rinse only choice. I've never really needed it either to be honest.
Hi there T-C, the rinse cycle is the second button on the control panel. We hope this helps. Kind regards, LG Australia
