Awful. Waste of money. Will never buy LG again – There has been nothing but disappointment with this microwave. We bought it to replace a 17 year old Panasonic - big mistake to think that it would come close, even with the 'middle of the road' pricing. We have owned this microwave for about two years now and it is only because I cannot afford the luxury of replacing a 'working' product that I… Read more

haven't left this one on the front lawn for hard rubbish collection.

The only redeeming feature of this microwave is that the inside is rounded for cleaning.

We use a microwave primarily to defrost. We cook big meals and freeze portions for the whole family. We also buy and freeze meat for future cooking. This microwave manages to fail us no matter what we are trying to do with it.

If we want to defrost a single chicken breast, we can expect that half of it will be icy cold while the other end is cooking. It doesn't matter how many times we stop and start the machine and turn the food. We think we can outsmart this machine, but it seems to know where we have placed the warmest part of the food and continue to cook that while ignoring the frozen section.

Believe it or not, it only takes one minute on the defrost setting to have one half of a bowl of soup burned to the bowl like leather, while the opposite side is still forming icicles.

An infant portion of risotto took 45 seconds for grains at one end of the bowl to be literally singed to black, while the other end of the bowl had frozen grains. It doesn't matter where you position the bowl, plate or container, this machine simply fails to heat or defrost anything evenly.

Can't wait to be able to buy a new microwave. I am so disappointed in this product that it has turned me off LG for good.

Avoid if you can – When we moved house we had to look for a new microwave as the old one would not fit in the special microwave shelf of the new kitchen. We don't really use the microwave apart from our son heating his bowl of cereal in the morning and a bag of popcorn every now and then. After a couple of years - just outside warranty the buttons stopped working.… Read more

Now it just "starts" whenever it's plugged in and the door is closed - lights are on, turntable turning, with no time or other indicator of what's happening. Doesn't look like it's microwaving though - food stays cold. The only way to stop the turntable is to unplug it. It's a piece of garbage. I hope I'll find a suitable sized Sharp like the one we had before...

My LG MS2548GR Microwave has given excellent service! (& continues to do so after 10 years!) – I have just bought another one as our present one has been going for just over 10 years! In that time we have had absolutely NO PROBLEMS with it at all! As it is installed in our Caravan (which is also our home!) it gets a bit rougher use than most! Yes it has been around Australia, and is used every day! Walking through a shopping Center we… Read more

came across another "on special" & just couldn't resist buying it to replace our existing unit as it will fit in the same built-in position in our caravan. After the good service.that we have received from the old one, it can now go to the OP-SHOP to give someone else excellent service also. EVERYTHING! NOTHING!

Nice looking and easy to use and clean – Very happy with my stainless steel LG microwave. It's internal dome shape makes cleaning very easy - no corners. It also cooks vegetables such as green beans and carrots without any 'hot spots' like my past microwaves(I used to get burnt spots on vegies). Eggs and soups have also cooked/heated well with no explosions from overheating. My only… Read more ·  1

complaint was that it came with clear plastic shrink wrap to prevent scratches and I found this very fiddly and difficult to peel off. I still have some plastic stuck inside door frame edge and may have to use a blade to get it off. Would rather it didn't come with this extra protection!

Excellent – Having read a number of review reports on microwaves and the general level of dissatisfaction, I was pleasantly surprised after buying the LG 34 litre microwave with the ease of use and features of this model. I had an LG microwave previously for 9 years which gave good service. The START button needing replacing and rather than repair, went… Read more

looking for a new unit. The LG MS344 has a sensor panel and not buttons which should result in better performance. The cabinet has a rounded shape at the back which follows the shape of the turntable. The turntable is a good size of 360mm. The 10 Power levels give a good selection for all heating needs. Probably the best point about this model is that the controls are very easy to use. Very happy with this purchase and the manufacturers 2 year warranty is reassuring given that most other brands only offer 1 year warranty. Good mid size of 34 litres. Adequate power of 1100 watts. Looks good. None obvious

Works great -- for six months – After six months, half of the keys on the numerical touchpad have stopped working. The oven is under warranty, so it will presumably be repaired at no cost. But we still have to lug it to the repair shop across town; LG customer service says it's a "carry in" item. Looks like we'll be without a microwave for a while. Our stainless steel LG fridge… Read more

also had problems within the first few months, so overall we're unimpressed with LG's quality, despite the nice exterior styling. Nice exterior Poorly made, inadequate solution from warranty service

Good – Great options with step by step instructions. Love the round cavity which makes so much sense, cooks and reheats perfectly, way better than my old Sharp model. This is a review for MS3448XRK, similar to above description. Excellent and useful functions. Sensor Cook/Reheat, Auto Cook/Reheat, Quick Defrost, Keep Moisture, Auto Defrost, Child Lock, 11 Power Levels. The stainless steel is NOT smudge free, have to clean it often.
