Decent cheap phone – Decent phone for the price I paid ($159). The phone is reliable and works fast, although I had trouble texting even after 4 months of using the phone. The touch screen was not responsive compared to an iphone. Additionally, as this is a windows phone, you will be subject to the lack of decent apps in the windows marketplace. This is my first windows phone and I am not used to the layout of the windows tiles. I much prefer IOS and Android over Windows. I grew tired of this phone and have since upgraded to an iphone 5. Cheap, reliable and fast processor Texting was difficult, dislike the windows system.

Great phone & OS ruined by bloat and apps – Hardware feels & looks well made. Phone & texting is fine too although could have a little clearer audio. Screen is bright and phone operates with hesitation free speed. The whole experience is ruined by the "lock in" effect of the Windows Phone 7 system. First there is Zune, a program that you must d/l and install to every computer that you want to link to the phone. Even though it is a Windows phone you cannot use Windows Explorer to manage files of any sort, it all has to happen through the very large & bloated Zune.

If you thought iTunes was a pain then wait until you see Zune.

There is no phone book as we know it as the system is heavily based on internet connectivity and social networking syncronisation. It uses a link called "People" which you cannot even just copy your phone book straight across to as with other phone os's.

The only way I could do it was to copy my phone book to my computer then create a "Live" email account, upload my phone records to it then sync that with the WP7 phone. Clumsy and complicated.

By default Facebook and the like are set to auto sync so the first chance it gets it drags down all the useless rubbish it can find.

There is a heavy emphasis on selling music to the user also.

Anyway, a great phone with a brilliant OS that is totally ruined by restricting users to "syncing" with many web sites.

The chances with the software being improved to something more sensible is unlikely and with that I would advise to avoid this and any WP7 phone. Build quality, speed, low power use. Having to use grossly bloated and complicated computer interface software. The layout is poorly thoughtout as well.

Better than an iPhone and any Android Handset out there – Having owned both a Samsung Galaxy S and IPhone over the last 3 years, I bought this phone off contract as a cheap replacement til I was eligible for an upgrade. No upgrade required, this pone does everything I need as a small business owner avid gadget man very well. Windows Phone 7 is a simple, efficient operating that I prefer greatly to the unstable and "crashy" Android, although it does lack the number of apps available to both Android and Iphone users.

The phone itself has great battery life (at least one and a half days on normal use) compared to most smart phones, it runs quickly, video / gaming quality is great. Even the Camera, although 5MP takes excellent photos. Also the voice recognition is far superior to any other phone I have used. Fast, efficient and great battery Life Lack of apps

Great phone got rid of Samsumg Galaxy S1 – I had an original Samsung Galaxy, as this one was so cheap I bought it for $179 delivered outright (3 months ago) and I haven't used the Galaxy since. Windows phone 7 OS is great now (compared to windows mobile which was supposed to be geared toward corporate users) and suits me perfectly. Can't be happier with it. Selling the Samsung on ebay. I liked it that much I bought one for dad as well! Reliable, Good battery compared to other smartphones, never crashes. GPS software for it isn't really up to scratch yet.
