The dishwasher cleaned well but only having it for a short period of time the LG dishwasher nut supplied cracked and flooded our house, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage, it has taken 5 weeks at the writing of this review and still no refund for the dishwasher or compensation for damage by the faulty LG product. We have requested a full… Read more
refund for the product under our consumer rights and guarantees and still no refund. This was our first purchase of an LG product and will be our last. Terrible customer service for LG even after all evidence has been supplied.
Piece of crap worst dishwasher I have ever owned do not buy this machine unless you want to become a dishwasher repair expert as I have now become. Rusting upper drawer, dead heater element, multiple Washer arms replaced, leaks out front, fast deterioration of door seal that had to be replaced Show details
Worst dishwasher I have ever owned. Purchased 3 years ago, I don’t think it has ever washed a load without dishes having to go back in. I keep it immaculately clean but understand the importance of removing large bits of food but never rinse clean. I never overlap dishes and always make sure it has rinse aid but there are still particles of food… Read more
‘cooked’ on when I unpack creating a health hazard. To try to get a technician is nigh on impossible and the one that turned up asked why on earth I bought this one. ( it was because it was black stainless and matched other appliances. Really disappointed.
LG Truesteam-ing heaps of garbage – Have had this dishwasher less than two years and it's had two IE faults which have it just stop working. My previous Bosch dishwasher lasted 8 years before having a repairable fault, 11 years before dying completely. First was a water drainage fault that eventually seemed to sort itself out. The second was a water inlet issue. Hose isn't kinked,… Read more
can't remove it to clear or check it, water is flowing fine. This is the most unreliable dishwasher I've ever owned. It also seems to have a design fault where it can leak from the front, there's a gap between the door and base that water sometimes seems to be able to leak through. It seems to wash dishes well otherwise. Do not recommend.
True Steam.. More Like a Steaming Pile of – At Purchase. Minimal Reviews, maybe 4-5 around the 4.5 mark. Ran the gauntlet - a bit foolish in hindsight. Not sure if reviews were fabricated as there's a considerable decline now.. At around 2 months. It was clear we had opted for a sub-par dishwasher. I enquired with the retailer and LG direct and no chance of returning (even at a loss) once… Read more
used of course. We persevered with less than optimal dishwashing performance to get our $1620 worth.
At 22 months, it was clear there were major issues as the IE Error arose. LG arranged for a Tech to come out - within reasonable timeframe ~ 5 days and fix. The performance however at this point started to be a problem with dirty dishes on the top rack.
LG customer service as approached from WhatsApp (who would disconnect chat and restart if no response in 5 mins) said they'd send a new spray arm under warranty, but still waiting to this day.
At 23 months and prior to expiry of warranty i bit the bullet and put the unit on the street for council cleanup, buying a new (non LG) dishwasher.
Its like night and day, i should have done it sooner - thinking of all the rejects and re-washes we put up with - yes we pre-scraped, yes, we pre-rinsed etc. but that was never a requirement for all of our other dishwashers in other homes that have performed well.
Would not recommend.
Horrible LG Dishwashers and Warranty Service - Buyer Be Very Aware – At nearly 2 years (1Y 9M) of use with mediocre cleaning ability and a super annoying bottom tray that falls off the rails nearly on every use. We have been plagued with AE error and IE error and a visible flooding leak out the door (My wife even filmed it). LG could care less - they, from the beginning have attempted to blame us. LG refuses to… Read more
replace it. Has sent out a repairer who firstly changed the computer board, then came out with a new motor and now after even he hoped LG would replace it as he feels he has wasted enough time on it they are making the repairers pick it up and fix in house. What will that leave us with? God only knows. We have been without a dishwasher for >3 months now. I, being a massive LG fan have lost total confidence in their decision making. Surely this has been far more costly than just simply replacing the lemon dishwasher with a new one. The way they operate their warranty claims is appalling. Buyer be very aware of this when you see LG warranty's. They are nearly impossible to get a hold of on the phone. Has completely changed my view of LG and as a result my purchase allegiance going forward.
Have we a solution? No - we still have no dishwasher and are waiting for the next repair. Seriously LG - Do Better! :<
Hugely regret buying this 3 years ago – The coating on the front panel of the door started peeling about 12 months into ownership. The spinner has been replaced 3 times At 2.5 years almost every part was replaced over the course of a month including motherboard and heating pump. And now 6 months later (3years total) the error messages have started again. Exactly like last time. I… Read more
think when you’ve replaced everything it should be considered a major failure and dealt with under Australian Consumer Laws. Update - LG refunded us the full amount’
Hands down the best dishwasher I’ve ever owned! – All the sales staff at the big name stores tried to talk us out of this dishwasher, but I’m so happy we didn’t listen. It is simply the best dishwasher I’ve ever owned. My dishes have never been so clean and they also come out dry, even our plastics and even on the turbo wash! Love the steam and extra dry options, but I rarely have to use them.… Read more · 1
Delay start is simple to use and really love how the door is self opening at the end of the cycle. The only negative I have is it doesn’t come with a cutlery basket, but the simple fix was to keep our old one, as I like to use the basket and the drawer. The rack layout and adjustability is also an excellent feature. I also love the finished tune. Some people must be so grumpy if they don’t like it. :) The Black Stainless steel looks amazing in our kitchen and doesn’t easily mark or show dirt. It’s not too dark either, which I was worried about. Overall the dishwasher looks sleek and unobtrusive. We purchased from Appliances Online and as always they offered fabulous service.
4 years later - our dishwasher is still going strong. My only complaint is the bottom rack plate prongs have snapped. Looking into options to replace and hopefully extend the life of the dishwasher.
DON’T BUY – It is a shame I have to leave this review, the functionality on the dishwasher is fantastic, that is when it is not sitting idle due to warranty claims:( If I could give a lower rating I would. Similar experience to other one star review. However I am on my second heating element/pump. The problem being that LG has put a thermal fuse (one use)… Read more
on the element and pump unit. Meaning that every time the unit gets too hot the fuse pops and the whole unit needs replacing even though the element and pump unit are functional.
One replacement I can put down to a faulty but two of the exact same problem within 10 months I would lean toward a design flaw. I am not claiming this is the case but the chances of this happening seem pretty slim.
SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Two failures in 6 months - Three major failures since Nov 2020 – Purchased November 2020. Failed April 2020 with HE error code - had heating element and water pump replaced. Got it back and it failed again 3 days later with AE error code (leaking). Very unhappy now. Australian Consumer Law says after two major failures means I can ask for a replacement or refund. LG repairers also don't send enough people… Read more
to move the dishwasher. Both times the LG repairer came, I had to help the repairer lift the dishwasher over our bench top. How would they cope if I was elderly or not strong enough to lift it. They should send two people to jobs.
Updated: It is now repaired and I've updated from 1 star to 3 stars. It's disappointing product quality but they have resolved the problem. Overall I'm not impressed with the product or the repair but they did fix it.
2022 Update: It has now failed again today! This model must be a complete lemon.

heap of rubbish- DONT BUY! – Heating element went after 5 months ownership. LG customer service informed me I might have to pay for service ( despite it being in warranty), but I wouldn't know until service had been done. Service man ordered part, then after 1 month of not being able to use it, LG informed me the dishwasher had to go back to repair centre as could not be… Read more
fixed in situ. LG customer service less than helpful. After all this retailer thankfully gave me a refund. Will never be buying any LG appliance again.

Best dishwasher I've owned - even dries plastics! But the problems start about 2 years in and keep coming – THANKS GOOGLE: so, technician was going to charge us $220 to come out and try and fix the problem, we googled how to clear the code and got a wonderful step by step instructions on what to do. Dishwasher now fixed! Been on twice and no problems. Not going to help with the rust but at least buys us some time before we need to replace it -… Read more

UPDATE: Well machine is fours years old now, the dishwasher leaks water on the floor from the righthand side of the door, every time an error comes up it trips the switch on the electricity box (that happens more than we like, but is usually from a plastic container/cup filling up with water) - this morning we have no idea what caused it and we can't clear the display to use it again, it is starting to rust on the hinges and the racks. Pity - was a brilliant dishwasher for the first two years and there has been a steady decline after that. Not going to waste money on a technician. Won't be replacing it with another LG - should get more than four years out of a product. Our last dishwasher was 10 years old and still working well, we only updated as we did the kitchen up.
The LG Quadwash XD3A25BS is the best dishwasher we've owned. No more rinsing plates before washing, it is whisper quiet (so much so you have to put your ear down to it to make sure it's on) and it dries plastics - yes that's right on the extra dry cycle (which we use all the time) everything comes out dry! Hard caked on cooking comes off with a breeze - sooo happy! The drawers are a bit flimsy compared to say the Asko which is a bit of a disappointment, but the versatility to move the drawers up and down and also for the prongs to fold flat on the drawers, makes up for it. There's no visual display to let you know the time left, but that doesn't matter when it goes on most nights at 10.30pm, but you can download the app and this will inform you if you really want to know (apart from bending down and trying to look on the edge of the door)..... Well it's been a few months and I can honestly say I still love this machine. For those having problems with plastics - make sure they are upside down and can't flip over in the cycle. We honestly do not have a problem - it could be the quality of the plastic too?
