I am writing this to warn other Australians before they spend $1,700+ on this LG QuadWash (Model XD3A25MB). After normal use, the internal components of this machine have started to disintegrate, leaving a disgusting, black tar-like residue all over my "clean" dishes. This gunk is incredibly difficult to remove and even stains your skin when you… Read more

touch the racks. I took this to the tribunal (ACL claim), but LG successfully fought it by producing a generic service report claiming "harsh chemicals" caused the damage. This is a complete deflection of responsibility for a clear manufacturing defect. The proof that their "chemical" excuse is nonsense is on the outside of the machine. The "Start" button on the control panel has bubbled and peeled away completely. Unless dishwashing tablets are now airborne and attacking the exterior of the unit, this is undeniably a failure of poor-quality materials. Bing Lee and LG have left me with a machine that is unsanitary and falling apart. If you value your health and your money, stay away from LG dishwashers. They would rather spend effort on legal loopholes than building a product that lasts. Pros: None. Cons: Leaves black residue on plates, control panel peels off, terrible manufacturer support.

It has all the bells and whistles but at its core, it is cheaply designed and built. Firstly the steam is a big problem, it degrades the dishwasher seals and plastic which will cause internal leaks, leading to error codes. Speaking of error codes, it’s not a matter of if, it is when you get one. But it’s generally at the 3 year mark when… Read more

warranty runs out. The dread E1 fault (inlet fault) even technicians can’t figure out.

When it comes to dishwashers, stick with Bosch. LG on the surface looks like a shiny new car but beware of the turd under the hood.

Burnt motherboard for your troubles, a secondary fault.

Buy an LG dishwasher at your own peril. Look at the class action in the U.S. about these. LG should be ashamed. I bout mine. Worked well and washed well until 1year. It had a warranty of 2yrs. It started playing up and displaying a fault intermittently about 10-20 minutes into the cycle. It rectified itself for a while. Continued intermittently.… Read more

The error was for a blocked inlet or outlet. I checked these and no blockage, so called LG. It was nearly impossible to get them to come out. They wanted me to make a 20 minute video of the flashing light on the dishwasher when it malfunctioned and upload it to their site which wouldn’t have had the capacity to fit that long a video. After stern words they reluctantly said a technician would call within 90 minutes. None called. I went to where I bought it and they put in a service complaint to LG and then a technician who barely spoke English, contacted me and arranged a time to fix it. He showed up without even looking at the dishwasher. Just had a new panel in his hand. You guessed it. It was the wrong panel. 4 more days and he came again with a new panel. Installed it. Tested it. Said it was fixed and then he left. The first load I ran that night and the dishwasher made the same error fault. LG use faulty panels on their dishwashers as per the class action against them. Buy at your own peril. Lg brand is seriously damaged. Good riddance to them.

LG true steam not worth it – have had this for just over 2 years, does not clean dishes properly. so many stains left on the plate, spoons, pots or anything else. i have to rinse all the dirt off before i put them in the dishwasher ( which defeats the purpose of having a dishwasher) got a tech out and he said there was nothing wrong and that i should use powder instead of… Read more

tablets. And now im getting a bE error half way through a cycle and im just out of warranty. bE error says its excess suds or unlevelling. No suds in the bottom of the dishwasher and water dropplets left in the machine are all cold so its like the water isnt getting heated anymore. tech is coming out but i have this bad feeling that its going to cost me. worst dishwasher i have ever had. i had a cheaper SMEG that was so much better. Not worth the money.

Sleek Design with minor flaws – Purchased on May 4, 2022, our LG Matte Black Dishwasher initially impressed with its innovative features, like the steam-releasing push device. The internal button layout was unusual but manageable. After a year, a mysterious crack near the buttons and fading start button emerged, raising concerns about durability. Despite these minor issues, its… Read more

elegant design and functionality shine through. I expected slightly better quality from LG, but overall, it's a solid choice.

LG quad wash steam series dishwasher – Best purchase ever…. Creates steam which is essential for killing germs. Silent - trust me no noise at all. You would not even notice that a dishwasher is running. Auto open door feature. Set and forget. I wash my toddlers dishwasher safe milk bottles and accessories. Does not clog at all. I prefer to scrap dishes before setting in the dishwasher.… Read more

Continuous error codes – HE code continuously comes up. AE code as well. Has thrown a few others. Wasn’t long after we bought it that it started playing up. Should have got it sorted earlier but out of warranty now. Do yourself a favour and buy a different brand! Show details

Worst dish washer I’ve ever purchased – Purchased at Hervey Norman Booval for $1600 in March 30, 2023. Only bought this one so it matches our LG fridge, worst mistake ever. Plates and glasses passable, never washes pots, pans , ceramic dishes properly. I have dozens of photos, every single wash I have to rewash items by hand. Our last dishwasher lasted 9 years and never had to rewash… Read more

anything. The inside layout is very poorly designed, and very flimsy poor quality. The cutlery shelf is awfully designed, This item is not fit for purpose and I will be returning it to Hervey Norman.

Truesteam overpriced and cheaply made – Bought this dishwasher even though it was much higher priced as we wanted a longer lasting machine and an effective clean. It does clean well but the interior baskets cannot take the heat of the dishwasher! Ok for the first couple of years but then the baskets melt, then rust and finally fall apart and are expensive to replace. Who would design a… Read more

true steam product and then fit it out with a cheap interior that obviously isnt built for the heat? LG!!!

Sterilisation dishwasher – Every dishwasher I have used leaves food or stains on dishes until now. No food debris. No cloudy glasses. No excess slime film from tablets. I'm super impressed with this LG I've owned for about 6 months. I got the steam function because I pressure cook and preserve foods so I need a dishwasher that heats to over 65C, which is considered… Read more

sterilised. This does 80C with steam, thus jars are ready to fill straight out of the dishwasher.

Normally I use the turbo with extra dry if there is plastics in it or remove extra dry if there are no plastics. This cycle goes for 1hr 40m or no dry 1hr 18m.

It's very easy to load and unload. I love the cutlery draw above. If I stack it like and OCD person (ie. line up forks and spoons) it takes 1 min to unload into the cutlery draw.

Very quiet. The door opening automatically at the end of the cycle saves me doing it.

Worked well fir first 12 months – We invested a bit more money than usual in this dishwasher, hoping for a better, longer lasting product than we have purchased in the past. This is the first time we purchased LG and bought a matching fridge also. We usually spend $800-$1000 and this one was $1800. The salesman @ Harvey Norman said it was top of the line for LG & very good… Read more

quality. The dishwasher was great for the first 12 months but has gone down hill since then. We use it 1-2 times per day. Baskets started to break after 12 months and became noisy and not washing dishes as well. We had our first error codes appearing at 12 months intermittently with the heat pump going at 15 months. Authorised repairer stated its the 20th one he has replaced in our town. Really disappointed LG won't be purchasing from you again.

Faultless Operation, But Weird Layout – The dishwasher doesn't really deserve 4 stars - it washes dishes very well, no complaints at all. What really bugs me is the details - the cutlery drawer at the top of the dishwasher is pointless, I thought it was a great idea when we purchased it but over time I've come to hate it. If the cutlery isn't arranged just perfectly then it won't get… Read more ·  1

cleaned, and cutlery does tend to fall over easily. The middle drawer is height adjustable which is a great idea but the steps between up / down are so great that either we have a huge gap above the middle drawer and plates on the bottom drawer foul with the spray arm or vice versa - there's no happy medium.

The cost is a bit high for a 'run of the mill' brand, if it were Miele or Bosch then I would expect a higher price just based on the brand reputation, but LG is more of a middle of the pack brand - though that doesn't necessarily make it worse than it's competitors.

There's a heap of different wash modes available but we inevitably always use the economy wash setting. The 'true steam' mode is meant to be the best wash available to really get things cleaned, but at a significant cost in electricity (and apparently some reliability issues). The dual zone mode sound good in theory but we always have a full dishwasher before putting it on anyway, so another useless (for us) mode.

We've had it for 4 months now and there has never been an issue with the results, unless things were poorly loaded but we can't blame the machine for that. I do really love that it will pop the door open after washing so that in the morning the dishes are perfectly dry, no need to towel dry - ever.

Overall, I wish I could give it 5 stars because it does actually wash dishes very well, it's just all of the other niggling issues that made me hold back that last star, out of spite.
