bearing busted after 6 years. Got OK use out of it but would have hoped for at least 10 years for something $1000+ Replaced with Bosch and appears to dry better. Will see if it lasts longer.

Worst experience ever. Ongoing issues for 6 months been without a washing machine/dryer. Was still under warranty when all issues started. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life and I have brought many products before. Never again from LG!! Would like someone to call me back and take me seriously for a review and full refund immediately. It is now 12 September 2025 and still no responses from LG!!

Purchased in at The Good Guys Online store for $1,521.

WASHER/DRYER that doesn't wash, drain, scorches clothes and floods the laundry. ANY TAKERS FOR $1400?? – This has been the worst washer/dryer we have purchased in the last 30 years. Retailer and purchase process was smooth until money was taken and the unit was delivered. We immediately noticed the detergent dispenser did not empty, and after a wash cycle it was still full of water. On next use, we need to constantly pull out the drawer, empty, and refill. It is a constant mould, hygiene and health risk. We have owned LG front loaders for 20 years, and this was never an issue, but apparently it is now a normal manufacturing design of latest models.

It does not wash well, and sometimes parts of some clothing are still contact dry (not wet) after a full cycle. My $399 LG top loader from 1998 washed better than this model. Also, filter is constantly clogged (too small?) requiring cleaning sometimes after each use.

Worst part, the front door intermittent leaks anywhere from 50 ml puddle of water, to half the laundry being under a puddle. Thankfully, we have a floor waste which prevents large flooding, but when the washer is running, we need to check for floor puddles before entering or placing anything on the floor.

Retailer was contacted within 3 months of above issues. We were deferred to LG as it was still under warranty. LG was contacted, and after a relay of emails, photos, videos, other correspondence of the above faults, no service call was offered without charging us (the customer). We are still awaiting after 12 months, for LG to honour their warranty, for this washer/dryer which was faulty from the moment it left their factory.

So, $1400 PRETTY LOOKING LEMON, which barely washes, leaks and floods my floor, burns clothes on all its dry cycle.

LG so far has not provided a service call to assess the above defects, unless there is a manufacturing cause for their defects.. I am still waiting, after 12 months.

HMMM,,, DEAR LG,,, if a non-washing, cloth-scorching, leaking and non-draining washer/dryer is not defective (ie part of your quality controlled, intended design), THEN WHAT IS??

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MACHINE. A WATER-FILLED ESKIE WITH A LID WILL DO A BETTER JOB!

OK but Water Hammer – This machine is ok But it created very bad water hammer in our water pipes. I installed a Sioux Chief Water Hammer Arrester after the tap to the machine which reduced the noise by about 50%. It was still quite bad so we had to get a plumber in. He install another inline flow reducing non return valve after the Arrester which further reduced the water hammer noise. We can still hear it but it is an acceptable low level noise now. So yeah be aware, this issue has cost us over $350 in plumbing and parts to fix plus the time.
