I clean the filters regularly and do a tub clean often but keep getting scummy bit's on washing when it's finished, often the clothes come out dirtier than they went in, I only wash in cold water as don't have hot tap connection on wall. Don't know if this is the reason. At a loss cos can't afford new machine at moment. Any idea's, thanx

LG WT-H550 5.5KG TOPLOADER. Keep getting dE when the door is close. I’ve done cleaning around the door and reset it.
The hose on the back comes off and water goes everywhere.

My LG Direct drive 9.5 kg washer doesn't light up in LCD or turn. You only hear the beeping when turn on with some low noises but not movement or lights or LCD is on?

Hi Ren, Could be a few reasons, the things I would be looking for are; 1) Are the supply taps on (my kids once turned them off just to mess wit my head) 2) Is there a blockage in the hose filters, they're just a fine mesh but depending on your water quality, could get blocked. There may be a filter at both ends of the hose 3) If that's all good, it could be an inlet valve (solenoid) fault, unlikely to have both hot and cold valves fail at the same time, so check if hot or cold fill work 4) If for example you find cold fill not working but hot fill OK then you either have a blockage as per above or a faulty solenoid valve that will need to be replaced 5) In addition, it could be a more expensive circuit board fault. Under the display panel is what's referred to as a main board, for want of a better term, this is the machine computer. A signal is sent from there to a sub board which in turn opens or closes the inlet valves as required
So board faults can be expensive, inlet valve faults not so much and of course clearing blockages costs nothing but a bit of elbow grease

Hi, my machine is coming up with error dE - lid not closed, but obviously the lid is closed. I have cleaned all sensors, filters, done a tub wash but still no change in error message. Does anyone have any other clues for me?
Hi Debbie, I'm not sure if I can help as although I'm a DIY fixed of most things at home, I've never actually pulled down my machine (same as yours). So the machine obviously has to sense lid open/closed and although I'm not 100% certain on how this particular machine does it, it is likely this; The lid has a concealed magnet, quite a strong one, near the front (non hinged) left hand side and because I can't see any other logical reason to have a magnet there, my assumption is that this operates the lid open reed switch sensor. The sensor may be a separate thing but likely built into the main circuit board which is just under the control/display panel and coincidentally just underneath where that magnet rests when the lid is down. So if the lid open sensor is faulty, it's likely to be one of two things, the magnet of the sensor which may be part of the main board If you're into fixing your own stuff parts are available from the BigWarehouse and here's a link for this machine external link

Our LG WT-H800 starts filling with water at the beginning of the wash but also immediately drains the water. We live rurally on tank water so water is precious. What is wrong and how do we fix it??
Hi Eva, At the risk of stating the obvious, is the drain hose sitting high enough. The drain pump motor is switched on by the machine's electrics at all the right times and then switched off again at all the other right times. That's all done by electronics and electrical stuff, so unless there is a fault there, it's very unlikely to be a drain pump fault. If you listen carefully, you can hear the drain pump running If the drain hose is too low (needs to be above the machine water level) then good old fashioned gravity can kick in and drain your machine water to the same height as your drain hose. A damaged drain hose can lead to similar problems
Yes we have the drain hose up high. We’ve also replaced the water sensor switch in case it was that but it’s still happening
