Waste of money – Have had this washing machine approximately 18 months. In that time it has leaked for around a month. The first two blokes that came out couldn't find the issue. There was clearly an issue because the floor is damaged because of the water. The 3rd guy found the issue finally. There was a crack in the plastic tray where the water fills. Since then… Read more

the washer doesn't wash very well. Now the pump has gone!!! I'm so angry with LG. Instead of replacing the "lemon" they just take their time sending someone out, which in the meantime we are spending alot of money at the laundromat. This is the worst $1600 I have ever spent on a washing machine!! I thought 14kg stainless steel would be the go but no it's a waste of money. Very disappointed in LG. My last washer I had for 15 years was an LG 10kg and was great. I will never waste money on this brand again!

Broke after 11 months – We got this machine 11 months ago and 2 weeks ok we notice the glue around the glass on the lid was loose. We contacted good guys however it took 2 weeks for them to get in contact with lg and in that time the plastic around the glass cracked, assuming due ti the weight of the glass. Lg are saying it’s not their error it’s ours. Anyone who has… Read more

this machine knows it’s massive and to bang anything against the lid like they are implying is almost impossible. Also if they made contact when I first made the claim it would never have even cracked in the first place! Will be taking this further.

In love! – I have had this machine since January and I cannot fault it at all. I’m really surprised by some of the negative reviews. Firstly it looks great, the controls are at the front in easy reach and it has a soft closing glass lid. Secondly, this machine is huuuuge! I can wash our entire bedding in one load - sheets, pillow cases, doona cover AND the king… Read more

size doona! Or about 20 towels with washers etc... it’s amazinghow much this holds. We are a family of 8 so we have a lot of washing and this has been a game changer. Apart from the size, the performance is spot on with every wash. Clothes come out perfectly clean,no detergent or fabric softener residue, towels soft and on a high spin, almost dry. The delicate wash is gentle on clothes- I even washed my daughters deb dress! The vapour setting is great for school shirts, just pop them on a hanger and no need to iron, and there is an air dry spin which is great as well.It has a wide range of wash cycles and they all seem to do exactly what they are supposed to. Then there is the wifi, which I use far more than I thought I would! Our laundry is at the other end of the house and now I can check the machine from my phone,I can see how long it’s got to go and it notify’s me when it’s finished and I can load it and remote start it from bed, once everyone has has had nightly showers. The smarthinq app also lets me check energy usage, which is great. All in all, I would definitely recommend this machine, especially with a big family,I actually enjoy the washing now! Oh, and no lint filters to clean either...

Able to wash bulky comforter!! – I am so far satisfied with the size and performance of the washer and dryer. I washed my bulky comforter where was my old machine was still in good shape but I couldn't wash heavy blankets or comforters. It is also quiet and easy to use. I look forward to using this machine and dryer.  Show details

Best Washing machine ever ! Value for money – We run a motel and recently replaced our simpson top loader. It never satisfied. This LG 14 kg top loader is the best ever. We wash towels and pillowcases , run it twice a day and it performs 100%. Clean and quiet. Even with a half load and on " quick wash" it cleans 100%. We use it now for 2 months and it never failed. Ideal for bigger families.  Show details

A big waste of time and money! – We are a family of 6, so when my last front load washer was wearing out I thought I would look at buying a new bigger washer. I thought this great looking 14kg washer was the answer to my dreams! Well I hate it! It is making my workload twice as large as nothing comes out clean. I have to wash all soiled items by hand prior to putting them in the… Read more

machine as I know it does not take any marks out even with very low soiling! I have had the machine for 6months now and just want to get rid of it. Clothing ends up terribly tangled and doesn’t agitate well at all. I love the size however would not recommend anyone buys this.

Best Washing Machine I have owned – In the past 25 years I have owned a Simpson top loader cost $900, it lasted 3 years followed by 2 Kleenmaid top loaders lasting 7 and 5 years costing $2500 each back in the 90's, next I bought a front loader whirlpool $1100, it lasted 8 years but the load size was small and took hours for a wash, that died in 2016, now I have the LG 14kg top… Read more

loader cost $1400 on special, easy to use, performs great. we have 4 adults in our house, tradie and nurses uniforms, gets used daily, quiet operation, cleans clothes well, highly recommend it. Note if you are short you will need a step to reach the bottom.

Does not wash well – Clothes come out Tangled, need to wash things twice sometimes clothes come out with mould on them. Wash cycles take to long, so i usually use quick wash only. Called LG but they will only deal with faults, its seems that a machine that doesn't wash properly is not faulty.  Show details

Great for small loads – I was taken in by the absence of a traditional spinner in the drum, where this washer just has a stainless steel drum. It uses wave technology to create motion that turns clothing. On the plus side it washes small loads well, and you can select the water level to quite low. It does have a tendency to know up,clothing, so you must put bras or… Read more

strapped things in wash bags otherwise you will be untangling clothing forever! It can use a lot of water, especially if you just use the automatic setting, where you simply put in clothes detergent and press start. It then chooses water level, two rinses, and the spin time. An advantage is to set a favourite cycle, and anyone can load the washer and just press favourites and off it goes. My whole family is able to use the washer with one instruction, so this is great. It runs smoothly, and has a tune at the end to let you know it's finished.

if you can get a good deal then it's a bloody good value for money washing machine – 12kg is huge and can take pretty much everything. Whole family's laundry in one go and sheets too. only bad thing is that the quick wash only allows the water to be filled 2/5 of capacity... otherwise performance is great and pretty quite operation too for its size. silver colour looks cool and happy with the purchase and use for the last 2 years!  Show details

Great top loading, large capacity washing machine – We needed to replace our old washing machine. We wanted a top loader - because we were used to it and like the idea of opening it mid cycle. We wanted a large capacity machine so that, ideally, we could do the entire week of washing in 3 loads - colours, darks and whites. We purchased this unit in February. On sale at JB HI Fi for $997… Read more ·  1

including free delivery. This was a good price at the time for a unit of this quality and size.

It is very high tech, compared to what we were used to. It weighs the load to determine how much water is needed. It runs smooth and silent. It has MANY running options. You can even connect it to your smart phone via wi-fi..... no that we have done it. REALLY, who wants to monitor their washing from their smart phone !!

Taking a 14kg load - I have not been able to fill it yet and we are a family of 4. It was one of the biggest domestic washing machines I researched.

One point you should check. It is very deep, so check before you buy that you are comfortable to reach in and get the clothes at the bottom of the machine.

At the time of writing this review, we have had it for 5 months and are very happy with it. Have had no problems.

LG Top Loader – I love this washing machine. Its very easy to operate . It cleans clothes with minimum amount of washing power or liquid. Its not very loud. It automatically weigh the load and take water according to that. You can wash even two or three clothes in this big machine without fear of using lot of water or energy.I can also wash doonas and blankets in this due to large capacity.  Show details

Huuuge!!! – I'm absolutely in love with my machine. I'd been waiting for around a month, partly because our old machine died a long painful death and then had to wait for them to come in. So when it finally arrived I had over a months worth of washing for 3 people, sheets, towels and the list goes on. I was able to to fit all my husband's clothes into one… Read more

load, this would normally be 3 .loads!

The spin is amazing, the clothes are almost half dry when it's finished. The only problem this causes is if you leave the washing in too long it gets really creased. But that is more a operator issue not the machines.

The only problem I had prior to purchase was knowing if when the lid was up it would fit under the clothes dryer. When it arrived they took it completely out of the box so we could measure. If it didn't fit I'd get my deposit back.

The staff at Retravion in Joondalup WA were so easy to deal with, going out of the way to help.

I'm 5 feet 7 and yes, it is a long way down. If the shorter ladies had checked if they could reach, prior to first use perhaps you may have been able to get your money back or replacement. I mean no offence by this.

impressed beyond belief – I purchased this washing machine on 28 April 2017 from Domayne at Bundall and can honestly state that its performance is first class. Massive washing machine, great value for the price we paid – I bought this recently for an Airbnb property where we need to wash a large volume of (not very dirty) sheets regularly. purpose. Will update this review if it has any problems, but if you want a big, big machine for saving time, this seems the way to go. Comments in other reviews about having to be tall...not an issue for us, we're over 5'5" but you would think a small step for $5 from Bunnings would solve the problem anyway

Increase your spare time – Large capacity makes wash day noticeably shorter.Wash all your doonas in one load. Also good for small or delicate cycles when required. Very versatile machine for all wash types .Also connects to smart phone to download more cycles.Con - liquid detergent is added directly to bowl part way through filling.Only powder can be put in the detergent drawer.  Show details

Big and Deep – I was looking at purchasing a front loader, but my partner wanted top loader. He went out and bought the 14kg top loader without thinking of how I (being 5'1") was going to get the clothes out of the washing machine. didn't realise how useless it actually was until we got this LG top loader without an agitator. Absolutely marvelous. The timer option, water level option various types of wash options are all great. I would not recommend this machine if you are under 5'5" - you will not be able to freely reach the bottom of the machine without any kind of aid.

Extremely Disappointed – For the past 10 years I have used 2 x 8.5kg fuzzy logic top loading washing machines. The lint filter system on them was great for pet hair and I could not fault them. Finally they wore out within a couple of months of each other so I had to go looking for a replacement. I decided to stick with LG and purchased the 14kg top loader so that I… Read more

would only require one machine to do everything including king size quilts. With the controls at the front of the washer, it makes it very hard to get clothing out of the machine. I am 5'4'' tall and cannot reach down any further than half way to try and get clothes out so my husband who is 5'6'' also cannot reach the bottom of the bowl and has to use crimpers to remove clothing for me. I did not realize this was going to be a problem when I purchased the machine as Harvey Norman has there display machines all on a elevated floor, so that you cannot tell. The allergy setting only works on the low water level which defeats the whole purpose of having a 14kg washing machine. The pump out lint filter is useless and clothes come out dirtier than when they went in unless at the bottom of the load. The detergent dispenser is useless as when you pour the laundry detergent in it, the detergent runs straight out onto the clothes before you even get to close it, leaving marks on the clothing. Considering the RRP is $1999.00 I expected a hell of a lot better. I now have a machine that I cannot use. LG had a great machine with the fuzzy logic model, all they needed to do was make a 10 and 12 kg version of it with 2 extra top removable filters like they had, to cope with the extra lint or pet hair.
