LG lucky if it goes

WTG6520 (6.5 kg)

What a piece of rubbish.
Too slow, takes nearly an hour to do a 10 min wash.
Doesn't rinse properly.
More than one bulky item and you have to stop it and move the load around to balance the tub.

Can't wash clothes. Please don't buy.

WTG7520 (7.5 kg)

I agree with the other reviewers. This machine has a faulty water level amongst many other issues. Basically, it can't wash clothes. I bought it in haste from Appliances Online when the Fisher& Paykel predicably died after two years. Buy in haste, repent at leisure as the old saying goes.

Purchased in at appliances online for $852.

Save yourself, do not buy this machine.

WTG7520 (7.5 kg)

I waste so much time dealing with LG who does not want to admit its manufacturing fault. They do not want to give refund. The machine seems to have faulty water level from day one. Dont waste yourself with this machine.

Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi for $700.

WARNING, Do Not Buy this Machine ever!

WTG7520 (7.5 kg)

Do not buy this machine. It is not worth it. Other unbranded washing machine does better job than this machine. This machine might only worth $30 max.
LG Customer service is so unresponsive.
They claimed they designed the machine to be like this.
This machine can only do 1/4 drum water level or full drum, even they advertised it as having 6 water level.
Misleading advertising.
Do not buy from LG for washing machine.

Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi for $600.

Laundromat here I come …. again

WTG6520 (6.5 kg)

I bought my WTG6520 in January 2019 from Harvey Norman, all good until March 2022 when I got a PE error (water level sensor) so had the LG authorised repairer come out to fix as my local guy can’t access LG info. Now July 2023 and same fault AGAIN. Not happy … don’t be tempted to buy unless you have money to throw away. I’ve made a fair trading report.

Purchased in at Harvey Norman Retail Stores for $495.

Problems when 2 year warranty runs out

WTG7520 (7.5 kg)

Great and efficient for water usage. However i have found the filtration rinse system not the best. After three years i have had to replace the drain pump twice and warranty only covered on 1st occasion and i still had to pay very expensive call out fee and had to book almost three weeks before looked at. Pump was replaced with second hand and cost for it paid with warranty. Second time after same problem and parts and labour expensive with with a long wait for repair for three weeks might be a better option just to get a brand new machine.

Purchased in for $595.

LG Disappointing

WTG7520 (7.5 kg)

This washing machine lasted less than 3 years. It has a 10 year smart inverter motor warranty, sounds impressive, but....unfortunately that wasn't the cause of the breakdown. I would expect at least 5 years (maybe) without any problems, apparently that is wishful thinking. I have also experienced problems with an LG dishwasher, so needless to say I don't think I will be buying any LG products soon. Its a shame because I have a couple of other LG appliances, which I have had for a number of years, so I don't know why their products in recent years (in my experience) have failed to deliver.

do clothes get tangled?

Not Happy Jan
Not Happy Jan ·

If I do a load of clothes with long sleeves or legs, they tend to get completely tangled. That's the least of my concerns with this machine though. I'm sorry, but I've got nothing good to say about it.
