If I could leave a zero star I would. Bought this washing machine in 2022. It constantly stains our clothing and tangled them up. I have been in contact with LG numerous time via emails and calls and they still deny there is anything wrong with the machine. They say the stains are caused by scrud and that I must be washing my clothes worthy the… Read more

wrong detergent. Apparently after telling them what I do use is the correct one, then they said I shouldn't use a cold wash. I use warm and a weekly hot wash. So this issue has been going on now for 3yrs and LG keep ignoring my concerns. I will NEVER purchase anything from this company again!!!!

Search of fault, door hinge, shows. Based on user reports, the LG WTG7520 7.5kg top-load washing machine has experienced issues with its lid hinges breaking, with some users reporting failures within 2–3 years of purchase. Some users describe the hinge assembly as cheaply made or inferior, rather than due to misuse. I purchased mine 7/12. Rang… Read more

I have contacted service department for there feedback with current information. Gets a two so far as washing appears ok. Will provide updates as known. Mechanic not available till after 16/2

Update 16/2 contact from lg. no joy. Will have technician check over. Based on previous reviews, my problem and lg response I would recommend any other make of machine.

I like this product – It is very quiet, easy to operate, I fully trust my delicate clothes and the best thing is that I don't have to worry because it turns off completely when the job is finished.

Great washing machine – This washing machine is great. No issues at all. Easy to use, the only thing I wish was different is if there was a delicates option but you can alter the spin speed so I guess that’s good enough. But overall I’m happy with my purchase. Show details ·  1

Black stuff on clothing – Be wary of this machine. Consider very carefully if buying. I bought this machine in 2022 and even though it washes well, there is often black stuff all over the clothing. I’m sorry I’ve own a few lg top loader and fixed about a few hundred. every single wash guess and the 2-3 scoops /cup that no one admits to, won’t wash away instead it clings to the plastic tub , drys out and waaaalaa you need a technician to remove the drum basket and scrub everything down, it can take up to 2-3 hrs to complete so keep that in mind it happens to most top loader so before you become a Karen have a good think about it.

Good overall – Machine washes well. Negatives are the two lint catchers, not easy to clean and the fabric conditioner receptacle doesn’t allow you to put much conditioner in before it overflows and loses all of it. Show details

If you have never heard of "scrud" you will have after owning one of these washing machines. Clothes come out dirtier than they go in. I have never experienced this with any other washing machine. OK. Firstly I had a brilliant LG 8.5kg top loader with fold-up lid for about 15 years. New laundry so bought a new 9kg sight-unseen thinking it was only 0.5kg more. Couldn’t reach the bottom of the tub to unload without a caravan step! Useless. Bought an LG 7.5kg front loader - continually took upwards of 2.5hrs because of being “unbalanced”. … Read more

Ended up buying a new 7.5kg because it was a top loader and I could reach the bottom of the tub. Useless machine. Useless wash and useless spin. Seems like a top loader they’ve turned on its side but it just doesn’t wash or spin well. The last LG I’ll ever buy.

An absolute POS. This machine failed IN WARRANTY period, but we threw it away and bought a different brand. Yes, that's right, we threw away a near-new machine... Don’t buy LG – Terrible. Glad I kept the receipt. Bought in December 2019 and used once weekly if that. Dying now. Lights out. Various different codes go off. Constantly resetting. Told not to bother fixing. Given the lifespan of ANY washing machine I’ve been told should be 8-15 years this is abhorrent. As of a pensioner can afford this. Won’t be getting another one ever by LG. Same with their microwaves. Garbage. Show details

Choices for each washing program & an excellent result each time – After 15 years service from my previous washing machine I was ready to upgrade to a far more modern machine. water or cold - was certainly comprehensive. I have been using the LG now for 3 months. It is quite easy to set up the LG's washing program each time I use it and it operates very efficiently. The only down side is clothing can become tangled by the time it has been through the final rinsing cycle. This happens no matter how I arrange the clothes inside the machine. I have found the 7.5 kg capacity is more than enough for my usual load of washing. I use average washing detergent and everything - sheets or clothing are perfectly clean each time the LG has reached the end of its program.

Water Pressure problem with LG – I purchased a model WTG7520 to replace a simiar 20 year old LG machine that had worked very well over the years but the elctronics failed. What I (or Good Guys) didn't know was that the new machine has a downgraded pressure rating to 600 kPa from 850 kPa and the water inlet valve failed shorly after installation and warranty was denied by LG.… Read more

Sydney Water advised the max. pressure in their system is 950 kPa and LG didn't give a hoot that their machine is unfit for purpose. There are many choices of other machines rated up to 1,000 kPa but none would fit into my installation space so was stuck and was forced to install a pressure reducing valve at a cost of $260 and now facing another $150 repair cost. However, The Good Guys were very understanding and helpful and gave me a $140 credit for the first service call. LG customer service is a joke and they keep repeating the same "not my problem" claiming it to be a Safety issue, what a croc! Lesson, CHECK YOUR WATER PRESSURE before using this machine.

LG Washing Machine WTG7520 – Have to replace my 7 years old LG 6.5kg (WF-T6572) with this 7.5kg (WTG7520) purchased from The Good Guys on 26/04/2024. Having issues with this new 7.5kg machine: 1. Cotton: only 1 wash and 1 spin for duration of 42 mins (*My old 6.5kg was able to do 2 washes and 2 spins for same duration). After 1 wash, this 7.5kg machine was spinning for 25 mins without any water added to rinse the clothing. **Consumpt more electricity than my previous model with the different wash selection and should not be rated 3 stars. 2. Water level setting fault: a) For quick wash, water level is only set to 1-3 (1/4 drum). b) Unable to manually set the water level to 4 (unlike my old model). There was no difference in water levels between 1 to 3 which is only 1/4 drum. For other wash selection, water level selection at 3 and 4 are at same level (1/4 drum). c) When setting water level to 5 or 6, the drum was almost full. Again no significant difference in water level between 5 or 6. I thought water level will be different for levels 1 to 6. d) So only able to wash clothing with 1/4 drum or full drum. Water level was never at 1/2 drum. So only 2 water settings (1/4 and full drum). **Consumpt more water than my previous model and this model should not be rated 3 stars for water consumption. 3. Load detection: a) Machine unable to detect load for Eco-cotton wash, etc and water level was set to 4. But at 3 or 4, water level was only 1/4 drum and impossible to wash clothing at this low water level. Have to manually select 5 or 6 and drum was almost full (near spilling if I select 6). b) So if this machine really Smart or require human intervention/ manually setting for various wash options? Suspect there is an issue with the microprocessor board. Written a review on LG website on 27/05/2024 but until to-date no response from LG.

Poor Quality for the price paid – Purchased in late 2022, Machine is still under warranty. In April 2024 the water pump had to be replaced as it was grinding and stopped working. So far so good! – I bought this LG top loader washing machine in the midst of COVID in August of 2021. I researched the washing machine online due to not being able to go out to many places at the time and see products in the shops. So far I am very happy with my purchase. After every wash you need to clean the lint out which is fine. I have found though to have a… Read more

more thorough clean - you need to take the lint collectors out, take them apart and scrub them with a washing up brush, which I have done from time to time at the same time that I have washed my dishes. There is also a lint collector at the back of the washing machine - which I have only discovered this year, I have only had to clean this out once since owning this machine.

I like that there is no agitator with this machine, thereby creating more space.

LG lucky if it goes – What a piece of rubbish. Too slow, takes nearly an hour to do a 10 min wash. Doesn't rinse properly. More than one bulky item and you have to stop it and move the load around to balance the tub.

9 months on - ok performance – I partially agree with the other reviewers. This machine has a faulty water level amongst many other issues. I bought it in haste from Appliances Online when the Fisher& Paykel predictably died after two years. After 9 months of use, I have come to appreciate that it is better than the F&Ps I've had but still not worth the price paid. Wouldn't buy again. Show details

DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!! – I'll be repeating things that others have said i.e. huge gap between water levels 4 and 5 (ridiculous), all the clothes tied in a knot, the incessant beeping it does when it goes into a rinse cycle (no one needs to hear that). It's also hopeless at getting all the clothes wet. The water comes down in one spot and if I don't manually submerge the… Read more

dry clothes, they just stay dry, floating on top. But now, for the cruncher (pretty much literally), it can turn clockwise, but when it tries going back the other way, it makes a sound that could wake the dead. The only way I can wash now is on the wool cycle, because that's so useless, the drum hardly moves anyway. It's hopeless of course, especially if you want to get fluff off socks for instance, but it beats handwashing. Of course then you have to spin it on a different cycle, because the spin on wool is good for nothing. I have spent so much of my life overseeing and assisting this horrendous machine. I want to go back to the good old days when you could turn dials. You made the decisions. You weren't dictated to regarding settings. I want my old Simpson back. LG says "Life's Good". Maybe it will be when I get rid of this nightmare.

Water level manufacturing fault – This machine has water level manufacturer fault. Before you buy LG Washing machine read this respond from LG: “Whilst in the auto programme, the lower levels will have little differences, and will notably increase on levels 5 or higher. this is also the case when certain loads are detected during the initial load sensing on all other cycles.” In… Read more

other words, this machine was designed to have 6 water level, but it operates only 2 water levels: 1. Water level 1-4 can only fill up approximately 1/4 drum. Between water level 1 to 3, the water only increase very little. Water level 3 to 4 has no different; no water is being added.

2. Water level 5-6 fill up the whole drum.

Despite of this fact, LG claimed this machine has 6 water level. This machine also has predetermined water level. It means you cannot manually adjust the water level as you wish. Only 2 options: wash with full water or 1/4 water.

Seems like Manufacturing product design fail!

I really wish LG recalls this machine. I wish I could bring them to court and pay the damages to all its customers that they have ripped off.

LG Customer service also useless. LG's case manager's performance needs to be reviewed. He was ignoring customer's complaints email.

Faulty since new purchase – Purchased in 2020 and had intermittent problems in first year, water level not cutting off and flooding room, not always spinning cloths, machine cutting off during wash. We persisted and put up with the problems, should have returned the machine as under consumer law the machine was not fit for purpose..ie washing cloths . Problems continued in… Read more

second year of ownership, but worsened, electronics controlling washes had mind of own, fault codes came up regularly. Could not return machine due to COVID lockdowns over the warranty period.

As of last week, machine no longer fills, and won't spin or wash on any settings. 3 different fault codes come up. We were nuts to keep enduring with this machine. Our usage over ownership was 2 small washes per week so machine has done only 300 washes since new, in comparison our previous Simpson machine was still working well after 10 years and maybe 3500 washes ( when we had kids at home).

Will contact LG and see what they will do..collect and replace the machine or repair it for no charge as it was faulty since the new purchase. Purchased from Betta Electrics Kyneton Vic.

Summary don't buy this model or make....will update you on LG response and their actions to rectify problems and faults which appeared a few months after purchase.

As mentioned elsewhere the electronic diagnosis to smart phone does not work and never has. Have checked all filters and always after every wash cleaned lint filters since ownership. As others have said, when was working, clothing is very much tangled at end of wash, after spinning cloths still quite wet, and lint on cloths and soap residue often on washed cloths... agitation does not seem to disolve all washing powder...we use about 2 small scoops in a wash.

Garbage DO NOT BUY! – I purchased this machine in November 2018 and was relatively happy with it as it was replacing a 10 year old smaller machine. 1.5 years in the hinge on the top went so it no longer has the soft close function. before. I don't use fabric softener and I empty the lint filters every wash so not sure what the cause of this is. I usually clean the tub and it stops for a while.

6 months ago began the real problems. Every now and then the hose leaks. Sometimes I'm lucky and I catch it early. Sometimes it floods the laundry. Since it's at the back of the machine near the floor it is a real hassle to fix. The clip on the hose is also rubbish. The major problem I have now is that EVERY SINGLE WASH I have to go in and constantly check as the machine is in an endless loop. It will work for a while then it will empty - do a bit of a spin - then FILL UP AGAIN adding 9 or 10 minutes. It does it a few times EVERY WASH. It doesn't matter what I'm washing or how much (or little) is in the machine.

I will never buy another LG machine.

Edit: The machine is now at the point where I have to take half the load out at the 10 minute mark just so it will spin. Sometimes this works but most times i have to check the machine every few minutes as it keeps stopping. I can't believe how terrible this machine is.
