Another horrible LG product. Constant water level sensor issues. Tubes cracking namely the lower pump hose. Massive leak water all over the floor. Lid has issues, gets stuck as though their is debris. Removed lid nothing present. It clicks. Door lock went haywire. Would open close open close automatically. Buttons stop functioning. Namely… Read more
mode 2. Can not switch from normal mode. I presume it's a moisture and circuitry issue.
Turbo clean stopped functioning. Does thing to go. So does not de-lint well at all. Lint floats around.
Worst of all LG service tech is basically useless. They'll send someone out to look at it. Issues will persist. This is the last of LG products in my home. Don't by anything LG post 2017. Sub par quality throughout their ranges.
The outer body is prone to rust
Machine currently washes when it wants and takes as long as it wants.
currently shopping around for a new one. Won't be buying LG ever again. So glad this is it for the LG Bad's in my home. Had a fridge that caked it and warranty voided. Thought I had a Samsung washer lol.
$1200. Ridiculous for this lack of quality. These companies need to be investigated.
Bedding, clothes. Nothing heavily soiled, just the usual regular washing.

Worse washing machine and service – Worse machine and service. Clothes came out with lint all over and had stains on parts from the detergent. Call LG service then told you shouldn't be using powder detergent. Used liquid and it still has lint on the clothes .I said that wasn't stated on the manual. I had use a LG top loader washing machine for over 20yrs and worked so well. This… Read more
new machine is not worth buying, paying $1000 for a new machine and having to be frustrated. They won't even send a technician out to see it. The customer service was bad. I won't ever buy any LG products anymore. Don't recommend at all
Clothes killer – I have owned this machine from new 6 months ago, i give it 2 stars for its cleaning prowess but un fortunately a -5 for protecting my clothes, it is pulling them apart, it dose'nt have a gentle cycle which seems unusual and after numerous calls to LG the only thing they could come up with is to use the ai programme so the machine can anylise the… Read more
wash cycle required which has not made any difference so i will be selling this new machine and researching different brands. My advice stay well away, if you don't believe my review then by my machine and see how you go. To summarise, i am extremely dissapointed.
LG 10kg top loader not good for short people – I have had top load machines for best part of 55yrs of washing in varying sizes. (I did have the use of a front loader, whilst waiting for my previous washing machine delivery and absolutely loathed having to crouch down, the smelly residue build up around the rubber seal and the front lint filter with residue water flowing on the floor!) to replace my Simpson 10kg which has its controls located towards back of the machine as most machines have had. I like the 10kg models because I have the option of washing my doonas etc. My washing machine service repair person suggested if I wanted to purchase another washing machine, was to get an LG. I did a bit of research and over the phone, ended up buying from The Good Guys the LG WTL5-10W at a very good price. Purchased with additional 3yr warranty on top of LG's 2 warranty, delivery, for $1100. Delivery and installation was seamless. Had I gone into a store to actually see the machine, I may have reconsidered here's why... Now, in my previous 10kg washing machine, I am 5ft 6 1/2" or 169cm tall and I could quite easily lean in and reach into the bottom of the machine and retrieve garments etc. The LG models with it's control panel right at the front, still on the top, taking up a wider space, makes it difficult to lean into the machine to reach the bottom, therefore, creating pressure on the operation panel and I can barely reach the bottom of the washing machine bowl. Too avoid this problem of possibly damaging the Panel and reaching the bottom of the bowl, I now have to use kitchen tongs to retrieve garments in the bottom of the machine! LG should reconsider placing the Panel at the back of the machine re leaning into the machine over the Panel and I believe small children can reach the front panel and active the machine unnecessarily along with people like myself leaning on the panel etc. Best to check in store when looking for a 10kg or larger washing, if you can reach the bottom of the bowl! Otherwise, I am extremely happy with it's washing capabilities, good lint filter and that it can detect what size load to wash. Early days as it's only been a few weeks but otherwise very happy!
One happy customer who can enjoy washing - just turn on and forget – I had owned an LG washing machine which was fantastic but unfortunately it just played up just after 11 years. A repairer came out and honestly, it was just a simple problem but he commented that to try and work out what this small problem was would cost a lot of money so it was suggested to buy a new machine instead. At least he was honest. It… Read more
was only natural that I would get another LG as my other one never had any problems whatsoever except the unusual one that no one could work out. Only 2 people here but I have a king size bed so having the 10kg size suits me as before I had the 8.5kg or was it 9kg. I also have a comforter which fits nicely in this machine and washes it beautifully.
This machine has 6 wash settings consisting of Cotton, A1 Wash, Quick Wash, Eco Cotton, Duvet and Tub clean. It's all digital and easy to read. Personally for me, I tend to use Quick Wash for even a big load as the majority of the clothes are not filthy at all then I use Cotton a lot also. This machine has the power button on the left and the start button on the left which took me a few days to get used to it as my old machine had the buttons on the right. Everything is lit up on the panel and it is easy to make your choices and then choose your temperature, and if needed wash, rinse and spin time.
I am not into all this technology stuff when using my washing machine (old school for me) but this machine does have a Remote Start with the LG ThinQ app where you use your smartphone to control your appliance remotely. Way over my head to understand all that mumble, jumble. I did notice a difference in that when I turned my machine on to wash if I didn't press the start button within a few minutes, the machine will shut off and all settings will be lost and you have to restart all over again. The black glass lid locks automatically during operation but if you do want to add that forgotten top, just push the Start/Pause button to unlock. Give it a few secs to see the little lock button disappear and then throw in that top and hit Start/Pause again. I like how this has little symbols to let you know what the machine is doing for example a T.shirt symbol with 3 little lines down the side means the hot water is activated or a T.shirt with an asterisk on the shirt means cold is activated. If you need warm water, they will both light up. I sometimes use the Eco Cotton which consumes less water and electricity and it washes normally soiled clothes.
What I love about this machine is I just throw my washing in and start it up and it weighs the clothes and detects the amount of water level. I do check though to make sure there is enough water in there for whatever I have put in. It is easy to just stop and add more water. There are times when I do handwashing and just need to spin my clothes in the machine. Too easy, just turn the power on and push the Spin button to the least amount. The same with the Rinse button if only needed. The 4 you can choose from is Rinse and Spin, Spin Only, Rinse Only or Wash only.
Majority of my washing is in cold water so they recommend that a warm or hot wash be used at regular intervals eg every 5th wash should be a warm one. Well I wash my sheets in warm water and towels also so no problems for me there.
What I also love about this machine is the clear lid where you can see into the machine whilst it is washing. The previous one was a clear lid but this one is a black one. You can still see if you look into it. The front panel with all the buttons you push is on a black area so it is easy to read. This machine has a 4 star water rating and a 4 star Energy Rating. My previous one was 3 Stars. This machine would ideally suit 5+ people for washing and as I said, only the 2 of us here but when I have people to stay, it is great.
I am quite tall but for a shorter person, they would need a step to reach into the machine to get the washing. Even for me, I have to stretch my arms down a bit but worth it. All in all I do love this machine, it washes all my clothes and other items perfectly. Easy to work out which button you need to push. This is a top loader machine but it thinks like a front loader. Clothes do not come out all twisted together at all. It's a gentle wash with every push of a button on whatever cycle you choose. Also at the end of the cycle, you know when the machine has finished as it has a little tune it plays which is quite nice to hear.
LG Washing Machine manufactured 2024 – ☆5 This machine is the new version of my old LG machine WT-H800 8kg which lasted 12years. This one is 10kg and fit all 3 people of weekly washings into 2 loadings (white's and colours). ☆4 Smart control is useful if the machine gets unbalanced then sends you error notifications. More useful If you have other LG smart control products at home. ☆5… Read more
This machine can run midnight and neighbours won't notice. ☆5 A lot of option buttons and hold 3 seconds functions for people who likes to program own. ☆0 Not suitable to whom likes simple as possible. ☆1 It has auto locking system and cannot open once operate until pause for 3 seconds. ☆1 Test run before put white clothes. My red cotton clothes looked like stains everywhere and came off in 2nd wash but it's risky to put some expensive clothes on initial loading. ☆3 It's only weeks from purchase so let's see how many years last;)
Serial number start with 401TWZH(Manufactured 4=2024, 01=January, TW=Top Loader and I don't know made in ZH=NZ?)
