Do not recommend this washing machine! Not happy with this purchase from day 1! logged, that’s if the spin cycle even works. It often comes up with an error message when it comes to the spin cycle… it tells me to re-balance the load… but this rarely rectifies the problem and just shows me the message over and over and I have washing sitting in the machine for hours because I can’t babysit the machine and make sure it works every time I try. Hate this machine!
Machine broke after 2 years still in extended warranty - took over 4 weeks to have it repaired - only had it back a few weeks and it broke again! 2nd machine and another fault – Purchased one in 2022, broke within 6 weeks-water leaking seal broken catching clothing in rubber. "fixed" with a new seal, he left turned on and flooded the floor again. I cracked it and they ordered a replacement that took another 2 weeks (5 week process) the new one is 9 months old and now has an electrical fault, keeps filling, not spinning, changing cycles mid cycle, 4 hours to do a quick wash. 14kg Washing machine Terrible – This is not a 14kg machine Lucky to do 9kg Also right at the end of the cycle the FE Error comes on on a regular basis so you have to start the washing cycle all over again. 1 load took allmost 4 hours to complete one time Pathetic. Fails to wash and no support from LG whilst under warranty – Not long into using this machine we have had a sock break the machine. The sock made it all the way past the standard LG filters and screening components and caused the machine an 'OE error' which LG state is 'misuse of the washer' and user error. machine. I was not aware as we have washed socks in our previous machines for decades.. with this machine you need a special bag for socks. I feel this is a design fault, and the fact the LG hotline did not allow me to check for a sock but instead arranged a 'likely free technician', then charged me I feel is inappropriate and deceptive.
There are other negative reviews for other additional unrelated faults with LG washing machines. I'd recommend an alternate brand for reliable washing given the product design as well as the lack of support when all proper channels were followed within the warranty period. Note I followed up the warranty with dispute resolution but nothing came of it, they advised I misused my machine by washing socks.
Do not buy! Terrible machine and worst after sales service! – We replaced a 9kg LG washing machine which lasted us 16 years. issues.. rips clothing on a weekly basis, leaks far too often, with my laundry flooding on three occasions. Due to the ripping of clothes, I have reduced the spin only to be left with heaps of water filling in the drum and clothes drenched in water after an entire wash cycle! Another major issue is that clothes do not get washed properly.. it still has an ‘unwashed’ smell regardless of much detergent and softener I use. After numerous calls/emails, LG sent a technician to us a month ago and we are still waiting for feedback or a solution! We keep getting told that it is being ‘investigated’. Soooo frustrating. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE OR ANY OTHER LG washing machine. Sadly, they not manufactured like they used to. Very disappointed considering how expensive this was!

Easy to use, quiet, great washing. but overstated capacity – This machine replaced our 20 y.o. LG 9kg Top Loader which had a fantastic run and would still be going if some spare parts were still available. room up front, there is no chance this is a '14kg' washer in the way I would interpret it. The fact is it can barely take a load any more than the 9kg LG Top Loader it replaced. You would think that based on 'weight' capacity, it would take a near 50% bigger load. It does not. Even visually you can see the barrel is no bigger. That is where this review loses the star, because without question, the weight capacity is misleading.
However, in all other respects, the machine has been performing very well in the six months we have had it. It senses the wash load and adjusts time to complete accordingly. It is very quiet, esp. in comparison to some other front loaders I have had occasion to use. And it seems to have an infinite array of options in terms of how the clothes are to be washed, in terms of wash cycle type, spin, rinse, temperature, add items after start, delay start, set a favourite wash and more. It truely has more options than most people could ever practically use. Nice to know they are there.
So long as there are no delusions on real load capacity, and I make no assertion on LG's after-sales service because to date it thankfully has not been needed, I would be more than happy to recommend this machine.
