Very disappointing – Disappointing product. I have the earlier version that rotates the waste once placed in it. Unfortunately I am now unable to get cartridges to fit so I bought this version. By comparison is is hard to place the waste cleanly into the locker. It is also hard to open with arthritic hands. As a product it needs a lot more development Show details
Bin works great, bag refills are faulty – Have two cats and really love having this bin, we live in a small apartment and it really helps keep the smell at bay, also great that I only have to empty it once a week even with two litter trays. The problem I've had is that half the bag refills have had massive tears in the plastic making a lot of the refill unusable, which isn't great as… Read more
they're a bit pricey and there isn't a good offmarket alternative that I've found. Disappointed as I think the bin itself is great.
Good concept, execution needs some work – Some design flaws to note. Scooping directly into the litter locker is messy. Loose granules fall to the floor around the bin or on the pull out tray and drop down to the bottom of the bin. Larger opening my mitigate that. The scoop is ok for big clumps, not the best for corner cleaning where my cats prefer to go. The refills need to be… Read more
biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Canada instituted a ban on single use plastics, that is a potential loss of a pretty substantial customer base . Odour trapping capability is ok, we empty the litterlocker every 3-4 days. I will continue to use biodegradable litter bags, litter locker missed the mark for me.
If I could rate this zero I would – I bought this item a year ago, but only opened the box 2 weeks ago. This unit is NOT airtight which defeats its purpose entirely. Also I had to manually push the waste matter down into the unit with the handle of the scoop (then clean that) as the weight of said waste did not allow it to drop below the cut off mechanism. There are too many open holes where the odour escapes easily. Smells terribly. Cannot use at all. Extremely disappointed. Show details
Great product, with one major fault – Not sure how I ever lived without this product. There's one design fault that I can't believe exists though - the scoop is too big to fit through the bin opening. The reason you need the scoop to fit through the opening is to use it to help push the deposits down the chute. I've had to use a smaller, non-matching scoop instead and put the scoop that came with the unit into storage. It astounds me that this fault didn't get caught. Show details · 1
Great product – I was a bit skeptical about buying a specialised bin but having used it for a year I'm glad we got it. It makes doing the rounds of the litter trays a little easier, and avoids having a normal bin stink like old litter every time you open it. The lid+slider design does a decent job of containing smell. It's not a five star solution... - it could… Read more · 1
use a way to lock the slider open while you're changing bags - a little more leeway in the length of plastic refill would be nice, particularly as that helps waste fall through the trap more easily - small concern, but it's top heavy and easy to knock over while you're swapping the refill
Overall though I recommend this product.

Great But Expensive To Maintain Bags – Edit - 13/02/24 - Recently purchased litter locker brand refills 5 Jan 2024, 12 for $215. Received on 13 Feb 2024. They sent Angelcare nappy bin liners as they were out of litter locker refills. The $ for 6 Angelcare on Amazon is $45.99 incl Prime free delivery which is 12 is $92. I feel like I've been ripped off. Will be purchasing Angelcare from… Read more
now on and then completely move to a nappy bin solution. Price difference for the 12 vs 12 is $123. I haven't bothered contacting Litter Locker. Pictures updated.
It does do what it says it's supposed to do. But for 12 refills it cost $200, incl $20 post. I go through one refill every 2 weeks. So $200 for 6 months worth. Not sure I can do $400 of bags a year. No smells so far from the container. 2 indoor only cats & use clumping litter so only used litter goes in the bag. Not value for money imo. System is easy to use and does absorb odors. Litter Locker also states free shipping to most of Australia*. I didn't get free & I'm 11km from Perth CBD. I'm 2 months in and 50/50. No smells still. If you can afford it - yay good work.

Don't waste your money – Bought this thinking it would make life easy, it's a pain to use, it sticks and grabs when pulling out the slide and doesnt house the smell either. The razor to slice the bag isn't an easy feet either i used scissors to cut it. Stick with scented nappy bags and straight in the bin. Show details

Overrated – Plastic container starts to smell after some use. Emptying is really gross and the smell is obviously wretched. I change it weekly, doing it every 2 months would be worse. Show details

A necessity! – I was trying to find a solution to keep my trays fresh and clean for my kitties. I had preference to remove waste ASAP but didn’t want to waste multiple bags for one mess. I have 4 cats and 4 trays and absolutely no smells left in my house. I scoop right away and it’s like it never happened! The designs for the compartments are so cute too. Price… Read more · 1
is also reasonable as your compartment comes with a scoop/1 refill to begin with. Big fan, every cat owner needs this.
Can't believe I went so many years without this! – The litter locker is amazing! I've been using it for 2 weeks, and I couldn't be happier. I've got a large cat family, and it masks all odours, and is a discreet addition to the house. It is easy to use, empty, and refill, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a way to manage cat waste in your home. Show details · 1
This has made life so much easier – Hands down, the best creation in the cat world. I have 3 cats, this bin saves me from going outside two- three times a day to dispose of their poopies. It also saves a lot of plastic bags, and most importantly, there is no smell in my laundry anymore. I would highly recommend it to every cat owner. Do yourself a favour and get this bin. The best cat product there is – Ok, so when a friend recommended that I buy this product, I was sceptical. But, wow! This bin really works a treat. My nose is usually so sensitive when it comes to any bad smells and because of this bin, there are none. Worth every cent I paid for it. I’m buying this for any family members who own a cat come Christmas time. Show details · 1
Makes life so much easier! – Love this product and can't believe nobody has thought of it until now. Completely blocks out any smells once i drop my cat's poops inside it. Saves time from constantly going out to throw the poop into the outside bin. The refill inside lasts for ages. I've been using the same one for almost 3 months. Fully recommend it to any cat owner who uses litter other than the flushing type. Show details · 1
